Chapter 42: Planning the Attack

Nas and his best Mate entered Oro at the very first light of the day, there was an army there which confirmed that Gerald had arrived, they both reached the announcement area, where Gerald was also there with all the other commanders. Therold came to them and said to Gastat, 'Oh my Brother thank god you are not dead' Gastat said, 'Not the best question,' then they heard Gerald say, 'Alright all of you come here and listen to us, we have a siege to do.' all of them gathered around Gerald as he began, 'So, we have to take Kunru back so before we began our operation we have to block their supply route, so we have to guard the route of Ortania and Baltal, with Ortania being the closest one, we have to make sure that it has been guarded the best, so for that, Darien will block the Baltal supply while Therold will block the Ortanian supply route, take four thousand men each and leave this instant.' Darien and Therold left for their duty, then Gerald again continued, 'So now you three, Finard, Nas and Gastat you will take Two hundred thousand men and all the siege equipment and set them up, four catapults on each wall and the Battering Ram will be behind the Catapults. now go.' as the three left for their mission.

'Finard you never told us about your family, where are they?' Nas asked him to get to know each other more, after all this time they were together but never got the chance to know each other because of Finard's constant scouting mission, Finard replied to Nas's question, 'I was from Farnbord, but when it was attacked by the Weggros and was captured, me and my parents and my twin sisters and a brother, we took refugee in Invaldal, and again it was attacked and I lost my parents, and I took my siblings straight to Sharaf and it was the best idea because Kurnu, Invaldal, Ortania and Kurnu and all of them were captured it was a harsh and dangerous journey but it was better than losing any more loved one!.' Nas was horrified after listening to his story, and asked, 'What's their name, Brother.' to this Finard replied, 'My sister's name is Aria and Maria and my brother's name is Tanilo.' they then ride to the village quietly until something struck Gastat brain has asked out of nowhere, 'Do you love anyone?' a question no one expected as this question turned Finard red as he looked straight forward without looking both of them, Nas also got involved as he asked, 'Oh, my boy is in love but is scared to share,' as he was constantly making faces, 'Tell us now, don't be shy my lad!.' finally Finard replied with a shy tone, 'The girl that came with you from Engorea, Ael I'm in love with her.' to which Gastat replied, 'And she is currently in no relationship, it's the best time to strike, my friend, good items don't stay for long.' Finard quickly realised his mistake as he thought to himself, 'Yeah he is right I haven't expressed my feelings to her.' he face palmed himself and said it out loud, 'Stupid.' Nas and Gastat both replied with the most obivous answer , 'Yes you are, Stupid.' Finard looked at both of them with disgusted face and said, 'In this type of situation you guys should help me, but instead yo are pulling my legs!.'

They both laughed but finally, Finard confessed, 'Oh my God, I don't know how to start a conversation with a girl.' Gastat said to him, 'Then call me your Munkish (Teacher) because I'll be teaching you how to win a girl's heart.' he then cracked the bones of his neck and said, 'I call it "The Maestro" first of all began a conversation, like say 'Hi' or anything and if she replies then immediately complement them, like 'What you do to get your hair to give that beautiful scent.' that's it.' Finard was happy because Gastat had supported him, as he had the least intelligence but had an idea, 'But this plan could fail!.' Gastat suddenly said to destroy Finard's hope, 'Why?' Nas and Finard asked to which Gastat replied, 'I once gave the same suggestion to Shizaf and it ended up with him getting slapped by a girl and called a Pervert!.' Now Finard said, 'The first thing I'll do after I go home is to confess my love to her.' 

They finally arrived at Kurnu and began to set up for the siege, the Weggros were preparing to defend themself, they were readying their bows and strengthening the gates.

The siege engines were ready, as Finard ordered them, 'Fire at will.' The catapults began to fire their boulders at the walls, they had to make two openings on each side, four in total. so they could take it easily take it, the first shot hit the wall and nothing happened, just some Weggros on the wall were killed, as the Wall was made out of the "Gorinium" the strongest Material in the World which can only be mined at the Mountains of "The Heritius" which is behind Engirine.

But the walls are made with some regular stone to keep the wall standing, which means eventually it will fall but no one knows when it will fall, so there was no option but to keep firing and keep firing, so they did.

Finally, The King arrived, he arrived in his commanding tent, where he was welcomed by, all three of them, Gerald commanded them, 'When Breach 1 and 2 are exposed, I and Commander Farlan will charge the breach and when the beach on the other side when the Breach 3 and 4 is opened, Nas and Gastat will charge and from the gates Tasarai.' Gastat and Nas were happy to see their friend join the war, 'But where is he?' Tasarai came from behind and threw a bucket of water on them both, they turned around to see him and laughed and the three hugged each other and Gastat asked, 'How's life going, my lad?' Tasarai gave out a happy replay, 'Good but without problems like you guys it's quite boring!.' they all laughed and Gerald said, 'OK enough, we are at war which I believe you have quite forgotten.' the three came in there senses and Finard came charging in and said, 'My King the Breach 4 is open.' Gerald then turned towards Nas and said, 'Nas it's your time to shine, go!.' Nas then turned towards his friends and said, 'Guess I have to go.' the three hugged for the last time, as Nas wore his Helmet and said to himself. 'Oh God, here we go!.'
