1 Chapter 1 - Beginning

After i opened my eyes, i saw an endless darkness filled with shimmering stars floating everywhere around me, i was astonished. While i was busy looking around and questioning myself for a moment, i look down and i was suddenly surprised. There was nothing else and it feels like i was stepping on a glass. A glass that will broke in a second after breaking it. How am i even standing. I couldn't figure it out nor even remember what happened to me so i start panicking, i was trembling and i couldn't keep myself calm.

I was afraid if i do one single move, i might fall down onto that hole underneath me. I can hear my heartbeat getting faster and faster as my breath becoming heavier. It felt suffocating so i chased my breath, it was as if i was fighting the air. There was nothing else that i could do. All i can see is darkness, nothing else, not even a sign of human life. This place was too bizarre and full of mystery to me. Not even scientists can give a proper explanation for this occurrences.

It almost gave me a heart attack. I tried to calm myself, gladly i was able to. I tried looking around again to see if something might happen. After an hour, i gave up, there was no really happening. All i can see was a shooting star falling down from afar. As i was still standing, i suddenly think of something. I tried moving by walking on the glass that i was stepping, i was really nervous. I was delighted after i was able to walk. I thought that it was my last breath.

~ Flashback ~

( Kael POV )

My name is Kael, a 24-year-old virgin man with no wife or fiancee. I like to watch historical documents and war strategies on TV and sometimes on YTube. I also like to watch anime like One Piece, Bleach and read manga as well. For example, my favorites are Kingdom, Vinland Saga, That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime, and Overlord. In other words, i'm a complete otaku. That chilly night, it all started when i was walking my way to home after the work. It was supposed to be a holiday but my superiors contacted me to come to the office, for some reason. I wasn't able to enjoy the holiday, it got me occupied by paper works and reports, i was so tired.

After i finished my work, it was already evening. I hurriedly go home just to watch this new season of an anime airing. For my whole existence, these years, yes finally! It got a season 2. I planned to watch this new season and read manga when i got home, so i went to a convenience store first to buy some food to eat because i was so hungry, i wasn't able to eat at the office and i didn't bring my lunch. After i pay for the goods that i bought, when i turn around i saw through the window a little girl walking on her own in the middle of the street. I was confused, she wasn't on the road earlier when i enter the store. These parents, why do they leave their children all alone i thought in my mind.

I ignore the little girl and blamed her parents, with that thought in my mind. Afterward, i went outside and i was heading into my home so i decided to use my earphone to listen a music while i was eating. I saw 2 firetrucks was heading into my way, so i was mystified. But later that, i ignored it and enjoy the music and food that i was eating. After i arrived, i was standing dumbfounded as i witness my house burning. My things, appliances that came from my hardworks, and my wife. Erm no i remember i don't have one. I was so depressed. I tried to calm myself as i was sitting on the ground, one of the firemen approach to me, he said.

??: "hello sir, are you the owner of this house?"

K: "y-yes!!, can you please explain to me what happened?"

??: "of course, sir. Come with me"

They both went to the other firemen to talk regarding the cause of the fire. Kael was perplexed, all of their questions weren't connected to him. He also remembers that he finished locking the door carefully. However, after their last questions to him, Kael felt nervous. He finally remembers that he forgot to turn off the stove. He was in a hurry so he forgot to turn it off in the morning. Kael avoided the question and replied innocently. The firemen doubt his answer as they glared at Kael. The firemen offered him a place to stay but Kael refused and said to them that he will rent an apartment in a meantime.

After the occurrences, Kael decided to rent an apartment. He plans to repair his burned house after he collects enough money for rebuilding. However, he's broke, he was in short need of money. He decided to call his friend to ask for help, he said.

K: "moshimoshi? Alexis you there?"

A: "oh? oh hello....Kael whatsup?"

K: "i was just wondering if you could let m-"

A: "okay sure, you're always welcome"

K: "i'm not even finished talking yet"

A: "let's talk about it later at my house....bye bruh see ya later"

K: "wait....Alexis no"

Alexis immediately hangs the phone before Kael could finish his message. Kael quickly went to his house walking alone. While he was walking, he notice a crowd shouting and screaming. He tried to check what it was afterward, there he saw again a little girl dressed with a black dress in his sight, but this time it was standing in the middle of the street dumbfounded. Kael also saw a car driving fast towards her.

He felt as if he was being ordered, it was like his body and head were telling him to do something. Kael was confused, it was bothering on his mind and he wasn't able to concentrate. He was forced to run as fast as he could to save the little girl, afterward, he caught her. While he was carrying the little girl, he saw the little girl's face smiling creepily at him. Kael startled and toss the girl with all of his strength across the street.

He was able to save her before the car arrived at him. Kael luckily avoided the car as the car collided with the store. After he stood up from his place, he again saw the little girl staring at him creepily. Kael was afraid he thought himself is he being hunted? Before Kael could walk, he heard a sudden noise like *peep!!* was heading to him. It was so bright that he wasn't able to see it, it was so noisy that he wasn't able to hear the shouting and screams of the crowd. In a flash, his sight became white.

*Bang*

( Kael POV )

I saw myself lying on the street in a broken mirror from my bag. All of my belongings are scattered everywhere, blood flows out in my head and nose, my eyes were red as my vision became blurry, and then my breath became heavy. My eardrum, i couldn't hear them clearly.

*huff* *huff* *huff*

K: "( i-it's co-cold, is this death? )"

K: "( i can't move my hands and my feet )"

K: "( shit it hurts arrghh!! )"

K: "( huh? wh-why is she smiling at me? h-how does anyone d-doesn't notice her? )"

K: "( how wicked! )"

*Wwwiiiiiuuuu* *Wwwiiiuuuu*

K: "( is t-that a-an ambulance? )"

"t-thank go-god" as i said with my voice slowly fading away. This was my last words before i completely died, and then finally my vision was lost.

~ Presentday ~

After a few minutes calming myself. I pinch and punch myself so many times just to get wake up, hoping this was all just a dream but no, or how many times i pinch myself or punch nothing happens. I begin to accept this reality that i was facing so i start thinking of a solution. I began walking after knowing it was okay to move. But later that, i realized and was surprised that i never got tired of walking. It was all useless, i feel like this was just the same place that i pass of so i stopped. All i could do was sit and wait for a miracle to happen.

After sleeping for a while, i wake up and i saw a strange tall glowing man standing in front of me. I was astonished, i couldn't catch a glimpse of his face because it's too bright for my sight then he suddenly spoke to me with a high-deep voice.

??: "mortal! tell me what wish do you desire?"

K: "wh-who are you? what happened to me?" *i startled*

E: "i am, Everything. You died by sacrificing your life to save that little girl from an accident"

K: "i....i see i'm glad she's safe *sigh* wait that wasn't a normal girl. Whenever i see her the moment bad luck comes to me"

E: "i don't know what you're saying mortal, you must be still dreaming"

K: "no i'm not, i'm very sure about it. Her face and her behavior. At first, i thought she was just missing girl but that moment when i caught her, when i see her face. It was like a demon, she's so different" *quiver*

E: "if you're done enough talking then let me talk, mortal!!"

K: "s-sorry"

K: "s-so what really are you?"

E: "i am Everything, The God of Creation"

K: "i don't get it, what do you mean Everything? where....where am i? what do you call this....place? i can only se....see an endless darkness filled with stars everywhere"

E: "silence mortal!! you ask too much!!"

K: "i'm very sorry" *looks down*

E: "so again mortal what wish do you want?"

K: "i don't know, i already died what else could i wish for? if only i was still on earth maybe i can wish that to alleviate my suffering"

E: "hmm perhaps i recommend you a reincarnation. However, you cannot reincarnate on earth anymore. You will live in another world that i will be suggesting"

K: "we....well i don't have anything to wish for, if what you say is true then go ahead"

E: "before the reincarnation starts, the blessing that i will give you is called The Guide. Remember that mortal, this blessing will Guide you to your life whenever you want it.

K: "a guide? the hell?"

While Everything was showing The Guide to me, i was surprised and at the same time amazed, it piques my interest. I couldn't believe it, it was the same system from the game i used to play when i was young but the design and mechanism are a little bit different. Is this perhaps a coincidence? no no no, i am just assuming.

K: "ahh so that is The Guide huh, it can show you the status? and can give a piece of advice?? not also that, it can guide you well??....well basically it's the name itself The Guide, Interesting"

E: "so this is The Guide, I have already shown you what it does. The Guide will explain more to you later after you got reincarnated or if you ask for your curiosity"

K: "understood"

E: "i'll also give you all of the magic affinities so you can use many kinds of elemental magic. If you want to ask something, ask The Guide. The Guide will provide you with more information about Magic, Your Ability, and The Guide Itself. I only give you this kind of ability to survive and protect yourself from the world where you'll be reincarnated, nothing else. I'm not giving this to you because i favor you, but because to protect yourself. If you think this is too much, i can give you only one elemental magic affinities"

K: "eh....eh? oh no no....it's okay"

E: "i already found a world where you'll be reincarnated, The Planet Terra. I hope you'll have a new peaceful life in your 2nd life living that planet"

K: *sighs* "thank you very much, Everything"

E: "now without further ado, let's get started transferring that soul of yours and create a new body"

While Everything was creating my own body, i suddenly feel dizzy and my vision was becoming unclear. I tried to move my hands and my fingers but i couldn't, it was hard as rock, a big boulder rock, same as my feet too. I really don't know what is happening to me right now so i felt nervous, i said to him.

K: "wha....what is happening to me....Everything?"

E: "and now for the last part, i'm sorry but i'll start extracting that soul of yours

K: "h....huh? n-no wait Everything! wai----"

Before i finish what i was going to say to him, my surroundings became dark. In an instant, i fainted.
