28 First Timed quest (1)

The people in the Orlando Duchy seemed gloomy and depressed compared to Hammerwald Barony and Vixen County. This can only lead to the fact that the administrator or the ruler Jack Orlando is not a good person.

The only establishments that are flourishing here are the adventure guild and the "Demon Hawk Conglomerate".

"Demon Hawk Conglomerate" is a company established by Patrick Lion hawk. It has ,many businesses all over the kingdom. It's profits are too high compared to other companies.

Ash understood that they are doing something illegal for the profits to soar too high even in a region like this where the spending power of the people is too low due to the actions of Jack Orlando.

Normally if a branch of a company is not generating any profits, it will be shut down to avoid future losses. Ash also observed that there are no competitors in the region, so he understood that the conglomerate might have had a hand in this issue.

But Ash decided to ignore them because they have come here to be away from Vixen Count, so they need to lay low and only concentrate on the guild quests.

The day after the party reached the duchy, all 4 of them made their way to adventure guild. The other parties and members were looking at the 4 of them strangely.

Ignoring them, they made their way to the receptionist "Ursula".

"Excuse me?"

"OH! you are the adventurers who came yesterday. What can I help you with?" asked Ursula.

"We need to ascend to Green Rank as soon as possible, so can you tell us the requirements?" asked Quinn.

"But, you guys are still in Indigo Rank, how can you hope to achieve Green Rank that easily?" question Ursula.

"We know that, but our situation is not quite good. We can assure you that we don't pose any harm to the guild." said Raven.

Ursula looked at Ash and his group skeptically for 2 minutes, before she decided to trust them.

"The requirement to reach blue rank is to finish 5 Indigo Ranked quests individually or 2 Blue Ranked quests in a group. The requirement to reach double promotion to Green Rank is to finish 5 Blue Ranked Quests as individuals or 2 Green Ranked Quests in a group." explained Ursula.

"This makes it easy. So, we need to finish 2 green ranked quests in a group to achieve Green Rank right?" asked Ash.

"Yes" replied Ursula.

"Thank you for the info" said Rose.

"Why don't you guys go check the quest board? I need to go to bathroom" said Ash and went away from there.

He went to the bathroom and opened the status window.

Time Limit: 1 Week

Penalty: System shut down for 5 days.

He looked at the quest and understood that from time limit that the quests will be very difficult. System shut down is very dangerous in situations like this because the Count might have sent spies to look for them. He decided to discuss with others before starting the quests.

He went back and saw all 3 of them staring at the boards. He went towards them and asked "So, what will we do?"

"The green ranked quests are very tough since they are the threshold to become VIP's and entry into any region without issues. But, completing 5 blue ranked quests can consume a lot of time." said Quinn thinking with hands on his chin.

"Your right, but I'd choose to finish the green ranked quests rather than completing individually" said Raven.

"No, I think the safest way is to do those blue ranked quests" said Rose.

"You think, we have time. The count might have sent someone to look for us. if we have the green rank, he won't have the balls to attack us." argued Raven.

"No, if we do that we may die in the quest rather than by the count" shouted Rose.

Raven scoffed and about to shout when Ash raised his hand and said "I have a plan."

"Let us divide our group into two. I'd like to finish the quests quickly and ascend to Green Rank because I am the one being targeted by the count" Ash said with a serious expression.

"Since Raven wants to finish 2 Green Ranked quests she will go with me. Quinn, why don't you team up with Rose and finish the 5 blue ranked quests?" said Ash.

When everyone thought about it, they found it reasonable. They all nodded in agreement.

Ash found that compared to when he trained her, Rose has become more open and talkative. Quinn has matured more because he kept himself away from fights and thought before entering into them.

Quinn and Rose went to the blue ranked quests and Ash along with Raven looked at the Green Ranked Quests.

There are many Green Ranked quests which are mostly escorting, finding artifacts. There is one quest which attracted his attention.

Quest: Search the Quadrion Ruin for a lost "Red Frost Necklace"

Reward: 300000 gold.

Quest Giver: Golden Quake Merchants group.

Ash looked at the quest giver and knew who they were. They are a merchant group recently rose to fame and a new branch is opened in the duchy. Demon Hawk could not do anything to them even though they are small because of Prime Ministers backing.

"So, you are thinking of that quest too?" asked Raven grinning. "Yes, I want go Indiana Jones way today" said Ash smiling.

"Very well" said Raven. They both went to the receptionist and gave the paper. The receptionist was shocked because no one dared to enter that place because of the supernatural phenomenon and the type of monsters there.

"Are you really sure?" asked Ursula with a tense face.

Ash nodded. The receptionist marked it. Quinn and Rose gave their own two quests to receptionist. She marked them too.

Ash's group and Quinn's group bade farewell and went to finish their quests. This marks the beginning of Ash's journey to become strong and unlock the subclass.
