Fighting baddies

As promised, Mew stayed out of the conflict when it started.

They arrived on the grassy plains after having swapped places with Gazeff and his fellow soldiers. The enemy looked in confusion and anger their way, spouting all kinds of things.

Not one to take a particular interest in such things, Mew just watched in awe at the shining metal like monsters floating in the air.

"Archangel flames..."

Ains muttered, notifying Mew and Aldos about the name of these particular monsters.

[Are they familiar?]

Mew wondered out loud. They seemed pretty weak.

"They are monsters found in the world I came from."

Ains responded, followed by glaring at the enemy.

"Nice to meet you, humans. My name is Ains Ooal Gown. Please call me Ains. A magic caster. I have a bit of an relationship with that village."

Ains started, still keeping an eye on the enemy.

"Have you come to beg for the lives of the villagers?"

"No, no, actually... I overheard your conversation with the leader of those knights. You really have a lot of guts, wanting to massacre the villagers I bothered to save! There can be nothing more offensive!"

"Offensive? Whag big words you speak, magic caster! So what If I do, what can you do about it?!"

The enemy smirked in glee.

"If you surender your lives to me now without any resistance, it will be painless. Refuse and I will give you a most agonising and torturous end you could imagine, with only despair awaiting you."

Ains said, raising his voice a little to be heard clearly by all those before him.

The enemy just laughed off the threat and sent the Archangel flames towards Ains. Ains did nothing to resist their attacks, letting them pierce throught his body. The enemy started to laugh, confident of the might of the angels. That was up until the moment Ains spoke again.

"I told you, didn't I? 'If you surender your lives to me now without any resistance, it will be painless.' It is important to listen when people are talking to you. The only path waiting you is despair."

"High tiered physical nullification. It is a passive skill that completely nulllifies the physical attacks of low leveled weapons and monsters"

Having said so, Ains slammed the angels struggling in his hands to the ground, making them burst apart in sparkles of light.

While Ains played with the enemy, making all the angels disappear with a single 'Negative Burst', Mew observed as they began to attack with all kinds of colorfull magics. Magic that Ains recognised as magic from Ygdrassil.

[I wonder if I can use the maigc from this place?]

Mew questioned.

"Don't even try it Mew-sama. That kind of magic is below you. Your own magic is stronger than these low tiered spells."

As if to prove Aldos' point, all the magic that was launched bounced of the barriers surrounding Ains.

"See? It's weak."

Aldos said with pride.

Then the fighting escalated, due to the counter of Albedo. A pebble had been thrown at Ains, which was thrown back and popped a head of.

Indeed, popped it clean of.

"Don't even think of copying that."

Aldos muttered, his hands covering Mew's eyes from seeing any other things.

The rest was only heard by Mew.

The attack of a monster called 'Principality of Observation'.

It's easy defeat.

The summoned angel, which was rather weak from what Mew could gather from his reaction.

And the eventual defeat of that angel and the complete massacre of the enemy. The leader had been taken captive to be tortured and interrogated about this world. Truly a sad fate for the enemy.

As all the gory scenes were over, only then did Aldos take his hands away, letting Mew see the beautifull stary sky again.

[Welp, this was boring. Let's finish the quest quickly and go adventuring with Ains. The fun stuff always happens around him.]

Not having any reply to that, Aldos took Mew to the quest location and easily dispatched of the special sub-species of the troll. The quest was soon finished and the two of them teleported back to the city to hand in the extermination proof and get their reward.
