A game of living chess (Pt. 3)

Sora overlooked the game board below that had become a real battlefield.

"This is not really chess. Think of it more as a strategy game. You know I'm better at these games, little sis. I'll take it from here, but when it seems I'm losing it, feel free to jump in okay?"

Shiro nodded, hugging Mew a little tighter as she let Sora handle the rest of the game.

"No watch me play. Cause game like this are my forte, my specialty."

And like the general Mew had seen him as, Sora ordered the pieces to move forward, sending the pawns towards the enemy troops who were moving forward, slashin them down with ease.

"He can't do that!"

Kurumi yelled, as she saw the white pieces completely ignore the normal rules and strike down her pieces.

Sora ignored her, sending the knights to the opening the pawns had just made, even sending his king and queen forward. His troops were battling an enemy force, so they should join as well.

Mew just watched as Sora commanded the troops, suddenly being reminded of the wars he had seen before with his own eyes. They weren't wars he had seen with his current eyes, but ones from his previous lives.

You see, Mew's can die, but when they die their souls are returned to their birth place. This place is special. It is a one of a kind white tree, the tree of live. There a pink egg is formed from which a Mew would hatch again, still retaining the memories from his previous life. Of course there were multiple Mew's, but he was the original Mew, the first Mew. And he had seen many wars. Seeing Sora play this war simulation reminded him of the war in the north of Kanto, where a tree of beginning was, as well as the war of Unova. Wars he had both been present at.

Mew was taken from his thoughts as Sora started another speech.

"This war determines who rules Elkia, who rules Imanity. The fate of this world is in your hands, open your eyes. Do you really want to leave the fate of this country in the hands of a charlatan like her?"

Sora yelled pointing his finger at Kurumi, who became angry as he called her a charlatan.

"But if we come together and win, she will be your queen. This girl who previously, only moments ago, gathered all her courage to fight against the enemy and lead your march. This girl who shed tears for you adn is crying on the inside because you wrongly accused her of being a merciless tyrant who would sacrifice her people."

At this point Shiro's tear filled face was revealed. The crystalline beads were still on her eyelashes, her eyes a little red from the tears. A rosy blush on her face after her frustrations of possible failure. Shiro looked absolutely adorable. Mew hugged Shiro tightly as he could still see the tears in her eyes. He gently wiped them away, while Sora continued.

"AND YOU CALL YOURSELVES MEN!?"

The white pieces roared with renewed vigor.

When Kurumi questioned in disbelief about the sudden burst of power, as the white pieces were clashing and winning against the black pieces, Sora explained he realised she had been boosting the morale of her soldiers with Elven magic.

The way he countered it, was by giving his own soldiers something to fight for, namely: Cuteness.

Till this point everything went well, until Kurumi's king stepped on the battlefield. From there, all the white pieces that came in contact with the enemy changed to the enemies color.

Steph exclaimed in outrage, as this was clearly cheating.

"All forces retreat! The enemy is using brainwashing magic!"

Mew cheered loudly, praising Sora for his wits. The enemies trump card was revealed.

Even if he realised, Sora couldn't do much against it. His forces were pushed back, while the black queen was on the point of striking down the white king, ending the battle.

Then, Sora did something that stunned all present, besides Shiro.

He leaped in front of the queen's sword and began to flirt.

He even managed to reason her, telling the black king was overcome by madness as he forced her to take to the battlefield and stain her hands with blood, while he cowered behind his troops.

That king was not fit to rule.

The black queen seemed to understand it, as she turned white and began to fight with Sora. When Kurumi sent her soldiers to stop the black queen, accusing her of treason, the black pieces couldn't move. No, they refused to move. They couldn't strike down their own queen.

Slowly, the pieces began to turn into white pieces.

"King, O foolish King. To give your servant the order to slay his own queen. To tremble in rage, without an explanation to your loyal troops? My queen, I can not ask you or your soldier to take your weapons and turn them on your comrades. Your Beloved king doesn't see the pain he is causing you and his own loyal followers. You have seen it. Your king is not the same king you used to love anymore. He is overcome with madness. I believe you are the only one who can rule your people now. Alas, the king is mad, he must be put to justice! My queen, the desicion is up to you."

With Sora's desperate and moving words, the queen and her recently black turned white pieces became red. Even a few of the other black pieces joined.

"W-What is this?!" Steph stuttered, aghast at what was occuring in front of her.

"A revolt. The appearance of a third force, rebellion."

Shiro responded, as she continued to observe.

"Winning without having to fight."

Sora said, as the remaining black pieces surrounded the black king, as the red pieces moved forward while back by white pieces.

A nepharious chuckle came from the other side. Kurumi, who had bent over with her face hidden, revealed a deranged laugh.

"I've earned this country! It's mine! And I won't hand it over! All enemy forces, sacrifice yourself to slay the enemy king! Slay every traitor! Leave none alive!"

Kurumi had clearly lost it.

"Sora, we backed her too far... She's lost it."

Shiro said, though she didn't seem all too concerned.

"Yeah, I know. But you see, there is always something in history that stops such things, such dictatorship."

At this point, cracks were heard, as the cracks spread over the black kings helmet.

"Tyrants always end the same way, no matter where in history. Assasination. People can't live under oppression, so there are always forces that seek to destroy their leader when they have turned into tyrants."

At this point, the black king broke apart, clearly ending the game in Sora's victory.

Kurumi lef ther side, while Sora and Shiro cheered up Steph who had started to cry.

Once again the bickering started, though this time, Sora caused the always stoic and cold Kurumi to burst out in tears. Apparently she had done a lot to get the elves to help her, which was now all ruined. She had never planned to give the power to the elves, and neither did the elf accompanying Kurumi want it.

At the end of it, Shiro and Sora became king and queen. Though they first had a three day long battle against eachother before they found a rule in the pledges that stated they could bothe rule (As the siblings didn't want the other to rule by themselves).

Everything ended peacefully with Sora gaining the race piece and declaring war to the rest of the world, who were still cautious of them. The suspected they were also in hands with another race, as it would be impossible for the magic less imanity to win against the magic using elves.

Well, not that it mattered, as Sora seemed to want this to happen, as well as not wanting Mew to interfere with his fun games.
