1 Chapter 0: The Land Before

The sky, it was so beautiful, the people of this desert village knew what they were doing. The locals kept their shops open, the farmers created paths in the sand for water to flow through from the stream. The adults work while the children play, the criminals may do their crimes, but in a small village the shame they'll feel will stick for the rest of their life. Every village needs a leader, a strong capable one, that leader was there to stand above the rest, his name? Dedrick the great.

Dedrick controls the military force of the village, allowing the ease of expanse to nearby lands and settlements by any outsiders that dare to take lands that were righteously his, supposedly. He does have a daughter, her name is Soulum, may be considered a war child or a bond between military might and love blooming on the battlefield. The mother keeping her face away so no one could dare see her beauty without permission. Her role is simply as an advisor for the military might of Derdrick

Even the daughter Soulum has a role in this village.

Her role? It's simple, being a leader and a drive for her people, it's easy being the leader when she has her staff of souls. The glowing artifact in the middle surrounded by the hard wood made her the leader, chosen by the gods above and led by the animal spirits around them. It was nice, however, her leadership was waning down, becoming less and less of a leader and becoming more off a boss. Her father didn't like this shift in her personality, and decided to send her away.

She is sent on a Journey by herself to discover herself and what it means to fight for herself. Despite hating this notion, she decided to accept this task, expecting this to be easy with her staff.
