Maya 

I didn't know how long I was pacing around the foyer, Viktor sat on the chair next to the wall. I slipped off my heels, dumping them carelessly on the floor. I heard what Perdo had told Lorenzo, Kai was missing. 

My son was missing. 

I didn't have the time to process who the little child and woman Lorenzo was with were. I didn't care. I saw red when I figured he had let Kai go on a mission, to do whatever illegal shit he does. If I still had the pistol and knife, I'd probably hurt him but Viktor collected them before I entered the house. My body shook with adrenaline; not only did I have a fucking date with a leader of the Mexican cartel and fucked up the mission, but now I had to worry about what Lorenzo had done to Kai this past few weeks. Was he still my baby or had he corrupted him and turned him against me?

"You have to tell me where my son went," I asked Viktor for the tenth time. 

"Sit down woman." He snaps
