2 Chapter 2: Preparing for Hollywood

"After hearing what happened, their mother Eileen was so angry that she was trembling. She then hugged her child, consoling Dolores and thinking about what to do.

At night, when the rest of the family members reunited to eat, they saw that Dolores, who was always lively, didn't speak much, and their mother was also silent. After thinking about it for a while in order to prevent the same things from happening, she told her children and husband about what happened.

Since that day, Eileen became more strict about the family and became careful about anything that happened around here.

The 16-year-old Connor said, "It's time."

Recalling when they were ten years old, Dolores said to him, "When I became an adult, I will definitely be a rock star." Then she became curious because although her brother is notorious for fighting in the school, the reason why he wasn't expelled is that he's also the best grade among the students of the school. So she asked him, "So what about you, what's your dream?"

He said, "I want to become an actor."

Dolores was surprised because she didn't expect her brother's dream to be an actor, considering her perception of his intelligence. So she thought that his dream would be something grandiose. Now that he is sixteen years old, yesterday he informed his family that he's planning to go to the United States in Hollywood to develop. Immediately after announcing his decision, his mother opposed it. After all, Connor never smoked and was the best when it comes to the note in the school. Although he fought from time to time, the truth is that he never bullied someone or provoked a fight. He only fought when someone threatened him or his brother and sister. He was the most worry-free in the family. Now he wanted to go to Hollywood. How could she accept this?

In fact, he knew that his mother would definitely oppose this, so he said, "Mother, you know that I will not play with my future, and I really, really thought about it carefully. I feel that I can definitely become a good actor as that's my dream. If you are opposed to it, I will definitely not go, but please, I need you to accept my dream and really need your encouragement."

After Connor finished speaking, his mother began reflecting on what he said. After being silent for a while, she sighed and then said, "You really make things difficult for me. If only you had a tantrum or simply been unreasonable or left the house directly. Now I can only accept and respect your dreams, but I only have one condition for you. You see how the scandal about actors drugging, smoking marijuana, and playing with women? I will not restrict you from having a relationship with a woman, but only if you love her. I think you should take caution when it comes to love."

After his mother finished speaking, he looked at his father. His father just smiled with a smile and said, "Go realize your dreams, child."

The father said, "I will help you for the last time. I will help you go to the USA as my gift."

Now, the headache for Connor is his twin sister because since informing the family that he will go to America, she didn't speak to him.

The day before Connor goes to America, Dolores finally came to him. "And here I was thinking you don't want to see me," said Connor.

"You know that is not the case," replied Dolores. Then she added, "It was really a shock to me, you know? We have always been together since we were young, and now suddenly, we will be separated. That was a surprise to me, and to be honest, I don't know how things will go without you. So that really scared me."

Connor then gave her a big hug and patted her on the back and said, "Don't worry, everything will be alright. I will search for my dream, and I will help you to become a superstar. Then you will invite me as a guest on your tour, what do you think?"

Tears slipped from the eyes of Dolores, then she nodded."
