1 Chapter 1 the results

It started with a promise, but it was a lie ready to unfold.

As they opened their envelopes, the atmosphere was tense. They knew that their future depended on these results, and they had worked hard to achieve their goals. Megan was the first to break the silence, screaming with joy as she had got straight A's. Olivia followed, also over the moon with her results. Hannah was next, and although she had done well, she was disappointed that she hadn't achieved straight A's like her friends.

Sarah was the last to open her envelope. As she read her results, she too had achieved the results she needed for uni, her friends could see the tears of happiness in her eyes. They hugged her. All of them happy to be able to go to the same university together.

"I think this deserves a celebration my parents are away for the weekend so I have a free house," said Hannah cheerfully.

Excited about the prospect of a fun night out, the girls started to make their plans for the party. However, they knew that they had to talk to their parents about the party first as they knew their parents worried about them going out to party's or at night.

Sarah was the first to talk to her mother about the party. She explained how well she had done in her exams and how she wanted to celebrate with her friends. Her mother was pleased with her results and agreed to let her go to the party as long as she walked home with one of her friends and not alone.

Olivia had a similar conversation with her parents. She told them that she had worked hard for her results and that she wanted to have some fun with her friends. Her parents were hesitant at first because they knew how innocent and easily lead Olivia could be, but they eventually agreed to let her go to the party, as long as she promised to be responsible, to be careful and walk home with one of her friends.

After some persuading,Megan's parents finally agreed to let her go to the party which would be her first party she had ever attended, but they made her promise that she would not drink any alcohol and that she would call them if there was any trouble.

With all their parents' permission secured, the

girls were excited and ready for their fun night

out.

On the night of the party, megan walked into the Hannah's sitting room, Olivia saw her and then, ran up to her and gave her a hug.

"Megan, I'm so glad you're here! I was just thinking that this party wouldn't be the same without you." Said Olivia.

Megan smiled and said. "I'm no fun, the party would still have fun without me,"

Olivia laughed and said. "Trust me, Megan. You're fun to be around, and everyone loves having you here.

"I don't know about that. I've never even been to one of these parties before. How do you know that it's going to be better with me here?" asked Megan.

"Because I do, you are a lot of fun, and all those two talk about are boys, which gets boring after a while. I need you here for my sanity," joked Olivia.

Not long later The party was in full swing, with music blaring and the four friends dancing and chatting. Megan was surprised at how Hannah was able to prepare everything so quickly.

As the night went on, Megan found herself laughing and dancing with Olivia and the rest of her friends. They played games, took silly photos, and enjoyed each other's company. Megan realized that she was exactly where she was meant to be, surrounded by people who cared about her.

At the end of the night, as the party was winding down, they heard a knock at the door, Hannah went and opened it.

"Sorry to disturb you, but we've had a noise complaint by next door, so I think it would be better if you stopped for the evening" the officer said.

"I'm sorry, I'll send everyone home," said Hannah.

"Ok, thank you and good night," said the policeman, then left.

The three girls left to go home. They all decided to go home together because they lived on the nearby streets.

Not long later Megan departs and walk down her street Olivia and Sarah see her walking up her driveway before they carry on. A Couple of minutes later Olivia looks at Sarah.

"We'll always be friends, won't we?" asked Olivia.

"Of course, we will. Why are you asking?" asked Sarah, wondering why Olivia would ask that.

"I don't know, I'm just wondering. I want us to be friends forever. I want it to be like tonight, partying and having fun together. I don't want anything to change." Olivia told Sarah.

"Yes, everything will remain the same. We'll all remain friends, I promise," said Sarah, smiling at Olivia.

"Good," said Olivia as she looked at Sarah then they continued heading home.

As they walked, Sarah thought about what Olivia had said. She realized that things would inevitably change as they grew older and that they may go their separate ways, but she also knew that their friendship was strong enough to withstand anything.

"I know things will change eventually, " said Sarah. "But we'll always have each other's backs, no matter what." Sarah told Olivia.

" I'm glad to hear that. I don't know what I'd do without you." Olivia said.

Sarah laughed and said. "You'd probably be lost without me."

They both giggled as they continued on their way, enjoying the cool night air and each other's company.

As they reached Sarah's house, they hugged each other tightly.' "Goodnight, Sarah," said Olivia.

"Goodnight, Liv," replied Sarah.

Olivia watched as Sarah disappeared into her

house before continuing on down to two houses along to her own home with a smile on her face. She knew that no matter what the future held for them, their friendship would always remain strong.
