Meng Tian was sitting in his room after having an early dinner with his parents. All of the dishes were his favorite specially cooked by his mother. He was now browsing through the internet searching for more information about the district training camp.

"Hmm... There is no other information other than what I already know. Let me check out my new fire talent. I have enough recovery serums, I might as well level it up..."

Immediately, it began to glow with a red light and started increasing in size again. It grew to two times larger than before and his Soul color changed from cyan to white.

His Soul was initially blue, then after unlocking the wood talent, it became cyan and now after unlocking the fire talent, it changed color... to white. Meng Tian was a little surprised to see it grow only twice the size, as usually every level up in his talent would double the size of his soul.

But after thinking about it carefully, he understood the principle a little better. A talent can only increase the size of the original soul. Meaning... The enhancement effect is on the original size of the soul and not the augmented size due to his other talents.

Hence, as both his wood and fire talents have been leveled up from Lv.1 to Lv.4, the augmentation to the soul comes to a total of sixteen times (eight times from each of the wood and fire talents).

Once he was done with his new talent, Meng Tian shifted his attention to the new skill 'Qi Barrier'. Although he only had an experience of 10 from Teacher Tiao's demo, the information on how to practice is already inside his mind.

"Let me see what this Qi Barrier skill is all about..."

Meng Tian had started to gather the Qi in his dantian which had surprisingly turned from blue color to white. It slowly moved from his dantian, crossed his meridians and surfaced on to his body, forming a glowing white light barrier.

The Elemental Qi Barrier was thus executed. As his experience was only ten, he was very slow in gathering the qi and it took a very long time to perform the technique. Meng Tian did not think much about it and continued to execute it for a couple of times. Each time he used the technique, his execution became faster and faster.

Finally after about half an hour, he was able to fill up his experience bar to a hundred. "It really is a bit difficult to manipulate Qi in this manner. Comparing it to ordinary martial techniques, the time required had increased very much. Before this, all the basic skills from school only took me minutes to acquire."

"It looks like certain things that my Soul could do inside my consciousness space are not available to my physical body. I really wanted to see if I could also create elemental essences and swallow them... Sigh... Anyway, I can still control them to my desire to form different shapes and all. I could probably use them to defend myself, and as weapons too. But I can't just experiment in my house, it is dangerous for my family as well as myself."

And in the experiences column, there was one such thing- 'Runic Inscriptions'. Meng Tian immediately remembered how he got this Experience from his Master's Token in the morning. It also went up when he tried to study the runes on the first level of the Foundation in his dantian.

He instantly looked into his dantian and started studying the different colored runes on the various levels of the Foundation. He did not understand anything about them but he moved up from the bottom and completed observing all the runes on each level.

By the time he finished looking at the runes on the ninth level of his Foundation, he heard a familiar prompt ring in his head and floating windows showed up in front of him.

A stream of abundant information suddenly rushed into his mind and a blurry shadow holding a wooden brush was drawing runes in he space around him with increasing complexity. He drew thousands of runes per second which were glowing with dazzling golden light.

Meng Tian was completely immersed in this performance and at the end of it, this shadow dissipated automatically and entered his Soul body. Finally, as he opened his eyes, he was astonished by the 'occupation' of the Rune Master.

There were thousands of runes in his memory now and with a little bit of practice, he could even engrave them into talismans. But he was lacking the materials for the same... And he was not at a level where he could engrave runes in the air.

"A Rune Master... My first occupation... Not bad... Not bad at all."

"But Damn!! I did not even get to observe the runes on the thousand petal lotus and I am already a Rune Master. The runes of the lotus are formed from the nine levels of the Foundation, yet they are completely different from them. They look much more complex and therefore should be at a much higher level."

Meng Tian was afraid that this new occupation could put a considerable strain on his Soul. Because the information he had received from unlocking the first level of Rune Master was very huge. And by leveling it up again, he would get information that would be several times larger in volume and much more complex than before.

However, he was not afraid to test his limits as he had a reasonable confidence in his own strength... And he had also remembered the words of his Master in the morning.
