13 . Preparations

The girl had fallen asleep in his arms . Tears staining her face as she trembled slowly in his arms . She was probably having nightmares . 

Mika walked back to the cabin in contemplation . He had a lot on his mind . Now that his three ally contestants were all dead , the following procedure was not going to be easy . 

Not only would he have to deal with the invading terminators , he would also have to face 6 contestants . Luckily , time was something he still had . 

He finally reached the cabin and headed to one of the bedrooms in the cabin . He gently laid the girl on the bed and covered her with a blanket .

She refused to let go of his hand but, he had no time to spare in comforting her . He took a doll that was beside her placing the doll in her arms as he finally left the room . 

He moved to the living room and sat down on a barely broken couch . For now , he needed to think .

[[ SIDE MISSION ACCOMPLISHED - CONTESTANT MONARCH AQUIRED +1 PERCEPTION . ]]

SYSTEM HAS DITECTED THE BETRAYAL OF CONTESTANT MONARCH 

FIXING PROBLEM , T-800 WILL ARRIVE ON THE SECOND DAY OF THE THREE DAY MISSION TO OFFER ASSISTANCE .

CONTESTANT MONARCH WILL BE PROVIDED WITH AN EXTRA 12 HOURS BEFORE THE ARRIVAL OF THE ENEMY CONTESTANTS 

THAT WILL BE ALL THE CHANGES THE SYSTEM WILL MAKE

Mika was relieved with the extra regulations given by the system . Extra time meant he had more time to prepare , but it still did not reduce the difficulty he would face .

The good thing about everything was the fact that the T-800 would be arriving earlier . He only needed to survive the first invasion of today for now and somehow think of how he would protect Sarah Connor at the same time . " System , at what time will the invasion begin . "

[[ THE INVASION BEGINS AT EXACTLY 10.00AM FOR ALL THE THREE DAYS ]] 

That was okay , before the invasion of today started , he had 8 hours of preparation time and that was plenty .

" System , can I move Sarah Connor away from the region of Big Bear Lake ." Mika was hopeful for a different answer but he knew what was coming . 

 [[ NO . CONTESTANT MONARCH IS NOT ALLOWED TO MOVE AWAY FROM THE BIG BEAR LAKE REGION . THE CONTESTANT IS ONLY ALLOWED PAST 10 KM IN ANY DIRECTION FROM THE CABIN . ANY FURTHER AND CONTESTANT MONARCH WILL BE PENALIZED . ]]

That was okay , Mika could work with those restrictions . With the existence of the cabin , the lake and the forest that surrounded the place , he had a lot of space to work with . 

Mika smelled the increasingly thick smell of blood and he quickly started taking the bodies outside the house . It took him about 20 minutes to properly burry Sarah's parents in their backyard and moved to reclaim the truck he had left . 

This took a matter of 10 minutes with moving everything where he could finally start pre pairing a death trap . Mika ransacked the cabin and stripped every useful electrical equipment he could from it's confines . 

This cabin was supposed to act as a camping cabin and luckily for him, the surrounding forest had bears so their was a surplus of bear traps in the storage area . 

Compiling everything he had gotten from the cabin and the storage unit , Their was a microwave , a pressure cleaner , a gas cooker , multiple bear traps , a tool box , two old radio, a bug zapper , a loan old computer and a boat that rested by the dock .

Mika was already cooking up countless gadgets he could build . His genius intellect was finally coming to use as he thought of how he could turn the cabin into a death trap not for the terminators but for the contestants , they were what truly worried him .

The system had also given him a small hint with how the terminators would attack and the time they would arrive . Using that theory , Mika had inferred a lot of things .

First of all , if the enemy terminators were going to attack on a three day period , the final day would hold the most violent attack while the first day would hold the lightest attack .

Logically speaking , if he was the homicidal A.I , he would use the first day to send scouts to gather intel about the enemy . the second day to send a small force to test the enemies fighting force and the final day to send a full force to finally deal with the enemy 

It was a good plan . And the one he betted on the A.I using . Mika also factored in the two hints the system had given for both the two missions . The first hint had said to not trust anyone , a fact that had proven correct .

But did the hint also mean the contestants who choose the kill mission should not trust the terminators .

That was likely so . Skynet was a killer A.I that wanted all humans dead . Mika did not think it's attitude would suddenly change just because you would help it . 

The other mission hint solely talked about timing . That could mean that killing Sarah Connor was not as easy to kill as the contestants thought .

Mika clearly recalled that every protagonist ever written had an impossible level of luck and the plot was always on their side . 

From his own understanding , this could mean that Sarah Connor could only be killed under special conditions or at least that was how he reasoned from the mission hint . At the end of it all , his thoughts could all be proven wrong . 

"This is going to be a long night . " Mika thought as he started ripping apart the electrical appliances . His imagination going wild with the shear possibilities of all he could make
