THE INEVITABLE HIM

A one night stand with a White waitress in a club was all it took to make him. He had no father but an owner he had. He owned him..turned him into the demon he is now. At the age of eight, he killed the humanity and love he had. "To make you strange and a worthy successor. I don't need any weakling." Akim always roared at him. The day he died the Devil got a free ticket to leave South Africa for good. Revenge from their rival Mafia gang was not in his plans. He wouldn't shed the blood of his people. He needed the for something better. To build a legitimate global empire. He worked his ass of to be a better version than Akim had in mind. He would own it all, by any means necessary. The world wasn't fair so don't blame him if he stumbled on you in the course of fulfilling his plans. You needed to keep up to be able to work for or with him. He had a family, though not perfect, the gang always had his back and so did he. At the age of twenty -six, Lucifer as he was popularly known by his close men was the most eligible bachelor, and the youngest richest business man in the country and beyond. He said it and he did it yet, there was always something else to do. Something better. He might be crazy for wanting to conquer the world, but that was his plan. Lucifer was never the type to run, he never backed down....and though a tiny part of him wanted to, he couldn't. His demons were part of him. He was his own devil. The part of him which thrilled at the site of violence and smiled at the pains and fear in the eyes of others strived and dominated his soul. He wanted out but who was he kidding, his demons were his source of power. Power, which sucks humanity out of him. Lucifer had made his name in the Europeans countries, but he felt that there would be much profit and a fulfilling tap into the culture of Africa which would in no doubt be a jackpot for him. He was a business man and so knew his fact. Africa....he dreaded and loved. He was sure of his target..where else but Ghana..a foreign environment. He was yet to find out that Ghana would give him the encounter of his life.... Kara, popularly called Nana is the "unwanted" bastard of the Agyemang family. Her mother Esther got pregnant with her white boyfriend during her college years overseas. Her mother came home with a baggage instead of the promised degrees. Being the daughter of a strict African home, ones thought would be to disappear for good and bear the shame alone. The family frowned upon her actions, turned their backs on her and was disowned by her father. Single handedly, with help from her uncle, her mother raised her to become a typical Ghanaian child. Even with her fair skin and brunette hair...she was in no doubt a Ghanaian by actions. Many often got confused yet her calm nature and respect for every custom of the society irrespective of it's flaws made her Ghanaian. Kara lived her life like a story being told. She drew her plans from the moment Uncle Kwesi sat her down and told her of the story behind her birth and why she didn't have a father or a large family. She knew who her father was. At least she had a picture of him, a picture shut away. She was satisfied with having her mom and uncle in her life. They enough for her, she convinced herself. Nana's greatest fear is repeating her mother's mistake...Don't get her wrong, she respected her mom immensely, she was by far the strongest woman she had ever know. That didn't change the fact that she would like to write some of her wrongs. Nor did it change the feeling which ate her up all the time...She was an accident and that was something that even she couldn't make right. Being the child of a single mother in a Ghanaian society, there was a lot to do and not do. No matter the amount of wealth, the society would always see you as the daughter of the unmarried woman and hence, you are required to put in much effort to everything you do. Kara wanted her mom to know n feel that her birth was her biggest achievement

CHAPTER 2:The Miss Purse 2

Her uncle had never been sensitive around her. But today of all days, he said something which she has been yearning to hear. She needed to hear it. No one made her feel like she had to be beyond the expectations of everyone but she felt that she had to be different. She suddenly became teary. Awkwardly, she released herself from his embrace. "I ...need to..visit the washroom before I leave. I will be back". She totally mentally disorganized which was unlike her. As if she was being chased, she quickly took a tissue from her purse and grabbed her mini purse and ran off.

Lucifer, Hakeem and their associates landed at the Kotoka airport. Lucifer looked on with disinterest. Hakeem on the contrary was thrilled somehow fascinated to be in Ghana. He needed a break, unfortunately he would never get a break from Lucifer. Deep down he knew he never wanted to. They stood out at the airport with their black suits which even from afar one could tell how expensive they were. Lucifer came with his own security. Eight of his men in charge of security traveled with him. He would be in Ghana for three months and he would need them. Lucifer's bronze tanned beautiful face stood out. He checked his Rolex to reset the time. He had the most dangerous piercing eyes ever. Hakeem identified the government escort just when the deputy the minister rushed accompanied by guards and other MP's and a bunch of reporters. The opposite of they had agree on. Lucifer was going to invest a lot into the indigenous productions. He needed to spice up the western fashion and which better place than Ghana to partner with.

"Hell. So true the hospitality at first sight is amazing. Well appreciated."  Hakeem literally exclaimed. What the fuck was wrong with him these days. Was he in love or what. Acting or softy and excited about the least thing. " What's up with you man?". He asked with sheer curiosity. Hakeem led them to meet their escorts  brushing Lucifer's question off.

" Welcome to Ghana". The minister gave a broad welcoming smile...which to Lucifer looked like a well practiced smile. Who does business over a smile. He shook his head as f to clear his head of any negative thoughts. "Just do what you came to do and get the hell out of this country". He encouraged himself mentally. " Thank you. But I thought we agreed on not attracting unnecessary attention. An escort would do...but these..." Lucifer pointed to the reporters and the gathered mass. Camera flashes shot in his face every seconds which he found annoying. But business was business... creating a good impression on the people would land him a good deal. Not that he had anything to lose. The minister gave a sheepish smile. "His Excellency wanted you to have the maximum security... But we understand that you brought your men...."

Hakeem interjected. "No problem. We will personally thank the president over dinner. We should leave now. This no place to talk gentlemen." He smiled a practiced smile...his eyes though were smiling for real. " Smile ....". He mumbled to Lucifer who suddenly looked gloomy because the security men were finding it difficult to prevent the people from cornering them. "Where is the washroom please?" He inquired genuinely.

"What...now?" Hakeem muttered. Lucifer nodded at the minister who quickly led him the the washroom. "Is it public use?" He curiously asked not relaxing his straight face look. "Thank you. I will be out in a gify. And for personally escorting me here. Was not necessary." He spoke as if it was rehearsed. Oh yeah, he had stayed up all night reading on how to impressed Ghanaians and what to and what not to say. He would like a clean contract one that he needn't bribe to make it possible. He nodded at the minister and entered.

Lucifer couldn't think of any other word upon entering the washroom. Oh yeah, his favorite three words automatically registered by his brains due to it consistent use.

"What the fuck!!" Shoot he cursed out loud. " What the hell are you doing in the male washroom room". He demanded making Kara panic. Her face and hair were wet with water. She looked as though she had been called to the principals office or maybe charged with murder he thought. Lucifer glared at her viciously. Funny he wanted to keep on glaring instead of actually looking at her. He didn't need any destruction at the moment so he would just glare at the beauty. Man....he is now saying that she is beautiful. Fuck...he isn't supposed to notice anything or think anything. But how could he not admired those tender wet lips which looked so inviting. Damn he would like to....fuck. He needed to get his shit together. "What are you still doing here!!! He hissed and she cornered to the sink making sure she had a strong grip....
