27. Cooking demon-beast.

Roar!!!

An angry roar from the demon beast can be heard in the deep forest. The angry roar came from a grey sabertooth tiger. In front of the demon beast, a beautiful young man wearing silver half-mask standing indifferently.

The young man two fingers can be seen radiating thick sword intent. The youth used the sword intent to slash the demon beast making the beast injured and angry.

The beast never thought that the seemingly weak prey he just found can attack back at him. The beast sneak attacks the youth from behind a thick wild bush, but this prey attacks him back while he's evading the attack. Making the demon beast as a mid-Core-level beast angry, he's been hurt by a youth that looks so weak.

The beautiful youth just smirking, feeling the beast rage on him. With one glance, the youth; Chen Danshou can guess the beast level. This beast sneaking attack on him using the superior speed but the beast level too low making him easily evades the attacks.

"Young Master, this is a wind sabertooth demon beast. The meat is good and can be used to accelerate learning wind elements. You'll benefit a lot if you can eating this beast, later."

"Oh... Really?!"

"Yes, young master. You just need to cook this demon-beast with spiritual chef skill I gave you to learn before. You already learn it until intermediate before on theory, but never practice on the skill in real life. You can practice by using your earth-level fire qi to cook it. Demon beast can't be cooked using normal fire. Their body full of essence qi, so only using a fire made by qi can cook their meat until it became edible to eat."

Waving his fingers, Danshou shoot sword intent to the beast on the forehead.

Danshou put the beast corpse he just killed inside his storage ring (the one he got from grandpa He, he won't use Chaos Ring to storage simple things like the beast corpse), and walking to find someplace to practise his cooking skill.

Not far from there, he found a clearing land near a small creek. Putting out the beast corpse, he dismantles the beast clumsily. He cleans the grey soft fur and hanging it on the tree branch to dry it while he cleans the meat, he empties the beast internal organ (he don't need to eat those just the meat). He took some meat for cooking practice. He fails a few times, but he continues to practice.

The spiritual cooking skill Gelu told him to learn will make his control over his qi better, that's why Danshou eager to practice it, no matter how many times he failed. Not just cooking skill, he also learns alchemy skill and array skill to learn qi control better. Now he can practice those inside the training ground. No one will disturb him to train many things Gelu told him to learn.

Danshou just finished cooking when he heard the sound of fighting.

"Young Master, demon beasts is fighting near here. Look like their level is earth-level demon beasts."

"Oh, are they moving towards here?"

"No, they are not moving here."

Eating the delicious meat, Danshou thinking. Does he wants to see the fight or not. Maybe he can get more meat for cooking ingredients.

"Do you know what beast they are?"

"Hmm.. they are adult Fire-Cow and Red fire-snake. They both have fire elements power. Looks like they want to upgrade their level by devouring each other."

"Hmm.."

"Young master, you should go and see the fight. Look like the fight near the Red fire-snake nest. The Red fire-snake nest used to have many rare herbs use for cultivation. You can use it, or take it for your family resources."

Danshou's eyes lit up hearing Gelu words. He can take those things for his mother and sister resources. Or he can give it to Grandpa He. After all his mother and sister need a lot of cultivating resources for their cultivation. The Chen clan never give them much since they know he's a waste before. He doesn't know if their treatment different now since the clan meeting result been announced, but more resources are not bad for them to use.

Finishing the meat, Danshou cleaned his slender fingers in the clear creek.

"Alright, let's go to see the fight. If we can plunder the snake nest, we'll do it."

Moving past through the trees using his movement skill, Danshou arrive at the fighting place.

Looking at the fight, fifty meters from him, Danshou marvels at the fantastic beast's size in this world.

There's a cow four times bigger than a regular cow in his previous life with red flames swirling in the body fighting a red big snake as big as the cow. The cow hit the snake with the flames and slashing with the single horn on the head, while the snake using the spiked tails and fire acid venom spitting from the snake mouth.

The sight was so interesting for him, he never saw any beasts fighting before especially in this magnitude scale. The two side fighting very hard but he can't just watch, he needs to sneak in the snake nest to search for treasures the snake's own. He doesn't want others taking the treasures from the snake nest later. With beasts battle this big, there is bound for some people to come and check the battle. He needs to sneak inside before others coming and think the same as him.

Moving sneakily, Danshou passing the two fighting beasts easily and get inside a big cave behind the snake. He took a glance for the last time on the beasts epic battle before turning around and start to walk on the dark path inside the cave.
