18 18. Insomnia

Ursilla walked along with Louis. Behind, there was Wendy following. Ursilla had asked the other servants not to follow her in groups. After all, she had enough with Wendy and Louis. After all, even if an enemy came to attack, they didn't dare to act openly, considering that Victor could even exterminate most of the demons that once existed on the island where the Kingdom of Victoria stood.

"Well, they should still be hiding like rats since their opponent can't be underestimated." Ursilla agreed to her own thoughts. This can calm her down because at least the danger won't be imminent.

Victor's power turns out to be useful for preventing the death of others. Now, Ursilla just needs to focus on carrying out missions and collecting as many rewards as possible in order to reduce the death rate that comes from Morgan.

They finally stopped in front of a door that had a engraved crescent in the center. So beautiful, especially with the silver sparkle making the door twinkling. Only the door is as luxurious as this, how about the inside?

"Princess, please come in." Louis opened the door for Ursilla. This action made Ursilla wonder, was it not necessary to report her arrival first?

Seeing Ursilla who was pensive in front of the open door with a gap that only Ursilla's tiny body could enter, Wendy walked over to Ursilla. "Princess, you should not hesitate to enter. His Majesty has allowed you to go anywhere in the royal palace."

Ursilla turned to the side and slightly lifted her head to see Wendy who wore a reassuring smile. "Will Wendy be waiting for me outside with Louis?"

"Don't worry, Princess. Mr. Louis and I will be waiting for you outside."

Hearing Wendy's words, Ursilla finally felt relieved. Ah, what was she afraid of anyway. Victor is a good father figure, how could he be angry just because Ursilla entered his study without having to report first. After all, Victor had allowed Ursilla to go anywhere.

"Okay, I'll come in." Ursilla stepped in through the gap in the door that only she could pass through. Once she had fully entered, the door was shut again.

Ursilla rolled her eyes. All around it was not as luxurious as expected. The ornaments of the study room were simpler than the dining room in the Moon Palace. Most of the things here are made of silver. In accordance with the name of the palace that is occupied, indeed when you enter everything looks like the moon that illuminates the darkness of the night.

Initially, when the Victoria Kingdom was formed and three Palaces had been built, Victor said that his palace would be called Moon Palace. Many opposed the name, they preferred Victor's palace to be called the Sun Palace. However, Victor said that the name he would give to the palace of the crown prince which did not exist at that time because Victor was not even married to Ursenna.

"They even complain just because of a palace name." Ursilla shook her head in disbelief. A moment later, she patted her forehead feeling like an idiot. "Ah, those are the things I write about in novels. Tch, wanting to curse the wrong things here means I'm cursing myself. Well, I'm really great at creating a lot of conflicts, both small and big."

Then what happen? Of course Victor rejected the proposals of all the nobles who opposed his decision. He still named his palace as the Moon Palace, the palace of the crown prince as the Sun Palace, and the palace for his wife as the Black Rose Palace.

What a man with a broad view of the future. Victor had even thought of a palace for Ursenna who at that time was still in a secret relationship with him because Ursenna's family would definitely not agree if Victor didn't have a name. Well, one of the reasons Victor built the Victoria Kingdom was because he wanted to marry the person he loved.

Ursilla blinked when she remembered that she was still in Victor's study. It's not good if Victor sees her daydreaming, surely Victor will ask Ursilla various questions.

Ursilla saw the figure of Victor sitting back on the chair with his hand holding a document right in front of his face. This made Ursilla not see Victor's face and the man's expression upon her arrival.

"Father!" Ursilla walked over to Victor's desk. Arriving at the table, it turned out that the height of the table was as high as Ursilla's forehead. The short stature did make it difficult for Ursilla. She had to stand on tiptoe with her hands resting on the table.

"Father! I came to see Father!" Ursilla spoke cheerfully like most children who looked cheerful as if she was innocent. Ah, an innocent little child of course still has no sin. But, sadly, 16-year-old Liera has done all sorts of good and bad deeds.

Silence.

No answer from Victor. Ursilla felt there was something odd especially Victor didn't even move a bit. Ursilla backed away and walked around to get to Victor's side.

"Father, why are you silent..." Ursilla didn't continue her words when she saw Victor's face.

"Huh? Is he sleeping?" Ursilla was surprised to see Victor whose eyes were closed and looked peaceful. However, dark circles were clearly visible under his eyes. Tired streaks could not be hidden from Victor's handsome face.

Ursilla did not expect that there were people who could sleep upright even while holding documents to trick people. However, Ursilla actually felt sorry for Victor. Looks like Victor didn't sleep well and could only sleep for a while. There were too many jobs, but Victor didn't even hire a secretary.

Even though the work had been divided by a quarter to Elias, the kingdom's affairs were still endless. Victor doesn't have the heart to share half his work with Elias who hasn't even reached adulthood.

"What a good father." Ursilla leaned against the table, her arms folded across her chest, and watched Victor for a long time.

The dark circles under Victor's eyes had gotten thicker since Ursenna's death. The man could not sleep well and even had insomnia. It was rare for Victor to have a good night's sleep so seeing the man sleeping in an upright position made Ursilla feel concerned.

"He wants to still look dignified as a King." Ursilla was busy commenting on Victor.

Ursilla's intention was to meet Victor to ask permission to go to the knight training ground. Hearing that Victor allowed Ursilla to go anywhere in the royal palace, it seemed that Ursilla didn't need to ask for permission anymore. However, she still went into Victor's study and asked to be allowed to choose a knight who would accompany her and swore allegiance to him not to Victor or the Victoria Kingdom. Just for Ursilla herself, that's the main point.

Who would have thought, Ursilla actually saw Victor sleeping because he was tired. Lucky not to fall, because the kingdom will definitely be chaotic if Victor gets sick.

Ursilla shrugged her shoulders, apparently now wasn't the right time. "I'd better get out of here."

As she turned to leave, Ursilla heard the movement of the chair and immediately turned back to Victor. Oh, looks like Victor will wake up.
