Falling from Heaven

"What is the height must I reach to go against the heavens will." This was the question that Ryu Tatsuya roared as he struck out at the heavens with his full power. To understand why the sole heir to the Tatsuya clan was lashing out at the heavens we must go back several thousand years to the start of the sacred dragon era that Ryu was born in.

In a spiritual palace on the far side of the Holy Dragon Empire there was a clan known far and wide for their combat prowess and undying loyalty to the Dragon Emperor. This clan was strong enough to conquer the entire Holy dragon Empire with its power alone but instead they refused to hold authority in the imperial court only serving as the sword for the imperial line. Until one day this loyalty was shattered by the actions of the crown prince who drunkly raped the first daughter of the Tatsuya clan patriarch. Having sworn his life to the Emperor Aries Tatsuya immediately requested an audience with the Emperor which was granted several moments later. When Aries was led into the imperial throne room he was met by the chilling gaze of the crown prince and his mother the Empress. As he slowly approached the throne he released the rage filled aura he had been suppressing since the moment he reached the imperial city. The second this aura descended every court official in the room fell to their knees using every bit of qi they could muster just to resist one man alone but this was there limit anyone weaker than the entry stage of the sovereign realm would be crushed to blood mist instantly. At the last moment an even more powerful aura covered the Empress and crown prince to protect them. This aura was stronger than the sovereign realm maybe even stronger than the entry stage of the king realm but this was not the Emperor's strength. This surprised the Tatsuya clan patriarch who knew better than anyone the imperial family had no such cultivators in the past several hundreds of years.Then again his own clan had several hidden kings and even a few Emporer realm experts who were thought to have went to the Immortal plane to lay a solid foothold for their clans future.
