1 Chapter 1

(Charlotte's Section)

Charlotte Griffen, that's my name.

I'm not a big hero, my brother is, he's the big star. No one knows my name, no one wants me at their party, no one wants me leading the pack. I'm 22 years old, I finished college with a degree in finance and came back to help him. It's always been like this, I do all the work and he gets the spotlight. I'm fine with that. I've accepted that I'll always be second, always be the last.

I'll Always be below him.

Kai was anxiously pacing around, stress leaked out of him from every pore, it smelled horrible so I waved my hand in front of my nose and sighed. "Kai, what's wrong?" I asked, Kai, shot a glare at me "I need you to get dressed, you're going with us to the pack meeting." Kai said definitively, "No way!" I said, crossing my arms like a 5-year-old, Kai sighed like a mom with too much on her plate "You're the only one who can read those documents, I can't read them and Amelia can't, So you're going, end of discussion!" Kai finished his statement with a glare and well-placed growl.

"Fine," I said, I grabbed my clothes and stomped to my room, While I got dressed I had an odd feeling...Like something big was gonna happen.

The pack Meeting was at a neutral point in Blue Moon Territory, a large house with Guards and Gates everywhere.

Not that anyone would be stupid enough to break into a meeting of 5 very pissed Alphas and their Mates. Kai was only bringing me because he couldn't read the documents, so unfortunately I was being forced to attend a meeting in an uncomfortably tight black dress and 2-inch heels.

The meeting room was simple, 5 chairs were placed around the table, and around 4 of the chairs an additional one was placed for the Alpha's mates, Kai sat down quickly, The Blue Moon's Alpha was already seated, and his mate was next to him. "Kai, you're so late, too busy with your Dyke sister and your Crippled Mate?" Terrence said, his laughter followed quickly after, Amelia rolled her eyes while Kai bit back a growl.

"We should start without Akira," Terrance said, his smile was cocky and his eyes flicked to the empty chair next to me, he was about to say something else when the doors banged open, sharp cinnamon flooded the room and we all focused our attention on the woman in the doorway.

I should have been terrified, but the woman I saw at the door held my attention, Beautiful brown hair and terrifying brown eyes, blood covered the white shirt she was wearing, multiple claws and bite wounds covered her arms, and her face was contorted in a very pissed smile, her alpha fangs couldn't have been more prominent. "Sorry, I'm late!" She shouted in a pissed tone, she carried a heavy brown box covered in blood. "But Apparently, one of you had the bright idea to try and Assassinate me." She said while setting the box on the table. She looked at me and our eyes connected, my green ones to her brown ones.

I felt mesmerized by how beautiful they were and didn't realize I was staring until she lifted an eyebrow at me, then she turned to the other and continued her rant.

"Unfortunately, you sent a shitty assassin."

She opened the box and a bloody head tumbled onto the table, it landed in front of Terrence.

Alphas are strong and intimidating, but these guys looked spooked as shit. "So next time, send a better one." She clarified,

"Now let's get this meeting started."

I didn't know I could be aroused and terrified at the same time, but this Alpha somehow makes me want to cower away in fear and have her ravish me. Akira Cliff, Alpha of the DustWalker Pack, is a badass.

Her brown hair was short but long enough for a small ponytail, it was a mess and had blood in it, but it only added to her beauty.

Her shirt was slightly ripped at the bottom, exposing abs and old scars, a scar was right under her eye and an old bite wound was on her neck, I observed her until finally, my gaze met her brown eyes again

She smirked and raised an eyebrow, I blushed and looked at the files in my lap, my senses still swimming in her Cinnamon smell. Her Beta was standing by her side and observing our interaction, he gave me a wink and I felt like dying.

The meeting ended soon and I was grateful, I turned to my left and realized Akira had disappeared, I let out a sigh of relief. Amelia put a hand on my shoulder "You smell horny..." she whispered, my face turned as red as a fire hydrant. "Do I?" "Yeah, I think everyone could smell it."

I looked away from Amelia's sightless red eyes, My eyes scanned the room and looked for Kai, I spotted his Blond hair, I started to walk towards him when I saw who he was talking to. my brain struggled to function as her cinnamon smell washed over me again, She smelled me too because she fixed her eyes on me.

"So, Kai, where were you keeping Miss Christmas?" Akira said, she slung an arm over my shoulder and my face went red. My smell is associated with Holly and Pine, so everyone thinks I smell like Christmas. "Oh, Charlotte?" Kai said, he shot a glare at Akira "She's my sister," Kai said, Akira smiled

"Why don't we talk outside, the air in here stinks," Akira said, Kai agreed and I pulled along. "So. Kai. Did you think about my offer." Akira asked as soon as they got outside, Kai bit his lip "A combination of our two packs? It's dangerous, and uncertain, what if you take a male mate and have offspring?" Kai said, I blanked for a moment, Kai was considering this? I felt betrayed, he'd discussed it with Amelia 'he didn't trust me enough?'

"I'm currently mateless, but you're right, so I'll take a female mate, and I'll take one that will secure the combination of our packs." Akira said, Kai, narrowing his eyes "I'll Take Charlotte here as my mate. She can be my Luna. Unless she doesn't want to of course." Akira said, my brain stopped functioning.

"Well, Charlotte...this decision is up to you," Kai said, I could see the two conflicting emotions on his face, His desire for this to work and his fear for me. I looked at Akira, she wouldn't be a bad mate, she's attractive.

And then I thought about my wishes, maybe this was me getting my own love story.

I took the chance. "I accept." Akira smiled

"I knew you would."
