The Question of Why

It took the nymph about thirty minutes to get comfortable being in the hot tub with Walter in the room, but once she finally was it was like being in a dream. Her head was laid back with her hair tied up into a messy bun. Her eyes shut as she listened to the rain along with the soft voices coming from whatever show the witch was watching on the television. This was definitely something that she needed after such a long exhausting day. Briar was nearly ready to fall asleep.

"Briar?" Her eyes blinked open to stare up at the ceiling. She didn't want to talk anymore for the day. She could hear how he had been shifting back and forth on the couch as he thought over actually asking her what he wanted to. When he didn't say anything else, she rolled her head to glance his way. "Can you tell me why you're actually after the Council? Like your true reason for them being at the top of your list."
