Caught off guard by the touch of the hand, the young demoness's ears turned red. 

Frightened and panicked, she bit the man's fingertip without blinking. 

The man inhaled sharply as if he was holding back something.

After a few moments, he let go and covered his eyebrows to hide his emotions. 

The little demoness, however, thought that she had hurt him and thus said carefully, "Uh, I'm a demon, I'm poisonous!"

The Immortal Venerable did not answer.

The little demoness said nervously, "Will I...poison you to death? I've been in the mystic realm for a long, long time, and you're the first person to come in. If I die like this, then wouldn't I become a human again..."

She was distressed and in self-reproach.

Thinking about it, the little demoness made a bold decision.

She climbed on the bed, her movements light and nimble like a cat. Bit by bit, she inched a little closer to the Immortal Venerable.
