With one hand on the steering wheel and the other intertwined around Amy's finger, Jim casually drove out of his hometown after three days of bliss. His family seemed to grow fond of Amy. Not even a minute out, his mother had already called him to ensure they did not forget to be back during harvest season, emphasizing that she could not wait to see Amy again. 

"Are you in a hurry to go back to the city?" Jim asked, his thumb caressing Amy's hand.

"No, I don't work till tomorrow. Why?" 

"I want to show you this place. It's one of my favorite places." Jim smiled. "It's a little out of the way, but once you see it, the ride will be worth it." 

And it was indeed. The couple stopped near a vast lake surrounded by lush trees and evergreens. They got out of their car and headed over to the empty dock.
