Chapter 11- Heaven?

(Noah's POV)

As one month flew by in my relationship with Ally, I couldn't help but fall in love even more with her. We spent every moment we could together. Every lunch break, every weekend. Of course she sometimes went to small adventures with Tess and the other girls, but we spent a lot of time together. I really think she is the love of my life. She han't had any incidents like the one from November, so things have been relatively calm around here. She's been really cheerful and lightheaded so I don't feel she's worried anymore. It makes me happy to see her happy. She's really very nice and very kind. She's funny and cute unlike any other girl I've ever had the pleasure to meet. I really want to be with her forever.

Today we were walking thorugh the Tree Zone, her hand intertwined to mine and her head resting on my shoulder. We had a pretty rough day on History of the U.S., learning about the 2020 COVID-19 crisis was really exhausting. We walked for a while and grabbed an ice cream. We were on our way to her cabin when she asked.

-Do you love me Noah?

I know I should have been terrified by the question. We had never told each other the ILY phrase. This was the first time she brought the thing up. We never said it to each other, not even by accident. However I didn't feel embarrassed or afraid. I mean, yeah, the question caught me off guard a little, but it didn't feel as scary as I once thought. I had never, in a million years told anyone the "L" word. Not even to my own mom, so I was pretty shocked when Ally said it. And believe me I would have said it back, a million times if I needed to, if it wasn't for the body.

-Hey, you two, come over here!

Lyla whispered as loud as a whisper can get. She had her head sticking out of the corner of an alley. We went over to her and to her feet was a body. Honestly, by this point I'm not surprised.

-Why in hell do you have a dead body?!

Ally whispered as loud as she dared to while looking disapprovingly at Lyla.

-First of all, nice to see you too. Secondly, he's not dead, he's only unconscious.

Lyla finished by showing us that the boy was breathing.

-Well then, what do you want us to do with him?

I asked intrigued but not surprised at all by the fact that everything seems to happen to us these days.

-I need you to help me carry him back to the cabin.

-Great, let's just carry an unconscious person all the way through the Tree Zone, in the middle of the afternoon, I don't know what could go wrong. And yeah the sarcasm was indeed intended.

Ally said ruffling her hair and pacing around nervously.

-You know, I could wake him up, if you allowed me of course.

The phrase came out from a girl walking into the alley. She had grey asian eyes and dark red hair cut in a boyish way. She wasn't very tall, and if you didn't know she was here in the SHC, you would easily think she was 13 or 14. Now that I looked at her more closely, she looked like... oh no.

(Ally's Pov)

The girl approached the boy lying down on the floor, cautious not to hurt him. She examined him closely and after making sure everyhting was where it should be, she placed her hand on the boy's forehead and a few seconds after she did this, a green gleaming light started emanating from her hand and spread all over his body. When the light started fading, the boy woke up. He was very confused.

-I'm sorry for barging in, my name is Jully Reed, a pleasure to meet you.

-Hello, I'm Allison McAley, and this is my boyfriend No-

-Don't worry, we know each other, right NoahBoo?

NoahBoo?! Who does she think she is, aargh, I can't believe it. Noah covered his face with his hands, but it was obvious he was blushing agressively. Was he cheating on her with me? A million thoughts raced through my head as I tried to unsuccesfully find an explanation to what was going on.

-Excuse me?

-Chill, he's only my ex, we broke up about a year ago. You've got nothing to worry 'bout.

I sigh very loudly and feel like an enormous weight was suddenly taken off my shoulders. I cannot believe how awful today has been. And when I was finally relaxing, going for a walk with my boyfriend, we somehow wound up with an unconscious guy and my boyfriend's ex.

The girl said. I didn't know the launguage but Noah seemed to know, because he tensed when he heard her say it, Tess also seemed to understand so that maybe meant it was Korean.

-날 내버려둬.

Noah answered in the same language. I was feeling a bit nervous, not knowing what they had said. i wouldn't have done this in any other situation, but I was feeling really desperate. I aprroached Tess, who pretended not to see me coming towards her.

-What did they say?

I asked her in a whisper.

-How am I supposed to know?

-You don't fool me, now tell me what they said.

-Ugh fine. The girl, Jully, said "You know you are mine" and Noah told her...

-Speak.

I had tears on the verges of my eyes.

-He told her "Always"

I stayed there for a few minutes, frozen, unable to process what she told me. Because, how could I trust her? But she couldn't be lying, I mean, for what other reason would Noah be so nervous about her coming to help and calling him out? Immerse in my thought I didn't notice until I was about half a kilometer away from the rest that I was walking, no, running away from there. Tears streaming down my face as I ran somewhere I did not know. I couldn't believe it.
