1 Chapter 1- Awaken

My name is John Fang, I am a hybrid and it was the year I turned 14 where my world was flipped upside down. My alarm was going off, it was time to get ready for school. I did what I usually do when I wake up in the morning, take a shower brush my teeth and eat breakfast. "Do you still need something honey," said Angeline. "No mom, I am going to school now". "Wait!... aren't you going to give your mommy a kiss" Angeline said. "I almost forgot" I gave my mother a kiss and made my way to school. While I was sitting in class, I talked to my two friends Freddy and Jake. "Yo John, did you watch the latest episode of Dragon Saber Force" Jake asked, "No, what happened, did Dennis transform or something" I replied. Me and my two friends are anime nerds, always discussing about manga and music in class, we were not dumb but not that smart either, we were average students just trying to get by and enjoying each other's company, but you know in every story there always has to be a bully in school and his name is Duke. "And what do we have here, the nerd crew, why don't you leave these shitty books and get some chicks" Duke smacked John at the back of the head. "Duke, this ain't the time to start with your bullshit" John said. "and what are you going to do about it Jonny boy". John gazed angrily at Duke. Freddy whispered to John "Johnny don't try to fight him, he is going to run your fade, don't you remember what happened to us last time, he gave you a choke slam, Jake got a close line and I got kicked in the stomach". John remembered how they got beat up because they did not want to give Duke their lunch money, thinking about it made John even more angry and this is where it happened. John's head began to throb and pain at the same time, he was screaming and holding onto his head. Jake and Freddy freaked out "what's wrong John, talk to me" Jake asked. "it's not my fault" Duke said while holding his hands up "you smacked him on the head Duke! this time you're in big trouble" Freddy said. John was thrashing in class, all the students was shocked and looking at the event, the teacher was not present in class and suddenly John fell to the ground unconscious. John slowly opened his eyes, he found out he was in his room at home, he got out of bed and went to the bathroom to wash his face, and when he looked up, he saw something that shocked him to his core. His hands were shaking, he was looking at something that should not be possible, he thought that this should only happen in tv series and movies. What John saw in the mirror that night was his left eye that turned to the color red.
