The Hunters Of Aliron

At the beginning of Aliron, we had created a serum. A serum that produces Apex Alphas. They abolished with no mercy or even sentiment. They were distinctive from our other test subjects. More extreme and started to kill without humanity and at that point, I knew we had created a group of abnormalities. One of them was a pure killing machine...Tatia Cerise. The woman was filled with cruelty and inhumanity. How on earth had we uncovered her or even worst how had she located us?.....

The Hunters Of Aliron

Chapter 8

Why would we be the perfect candidates for ALIRON?

When I read the last word I dropped the letter on the floor. I felt paralysed. Anger and fear boiled inside me and it started getting out of control. I threw all the letters on the floor and kept walking around. I just couldn't understand why this could happen. Why the hell would Alex give us out? I turned all my pain towards Alex and a feeling started to be created. Kill. That was the word I concentrated on, I walked towards the door about to chase after Alex when Hazel stopped me. She put her hand on my chest as if she was trying to slow my heartbeat.

"Calm down. I know that you are vexed at Alex but I need you to concentrate," she declared. I did as she said while looking into her eyes. My heartbeat started to steady and my emotions started to calm down.

"You okay now?" Hazel asked. I looked at her with a little smile.

"Yeah, thanks. I was really angry before but now it's lowering" I replied.

She wrapped her arms around me and let out a sigh. She faced me and kissed my forehead. I couldn't help but just giggle. Then out of nowhere, we started laughing. I couldn't stop nor could she. I felt like I could live in this moment forever. We held the giggles in and got back to the current situation.

"Hazel, Alex sold us out. He said that we were the perfect candidates but why?" I asked.

I could see that the same question was bugging her as well.

"I don't know why we were the perfect candidates, Jamie. What makes us different or unique from the crowd? Hazel questioned.

I kept trying to find out what made me special but I found nothing. Nor did Hazel by the look of her face. We were both puzzled.

"Hazel, we have to start running, we have a bunch of hunters like Alex searching for us!" I demanded.

I don't think I could do another run. But I had to survive. I now wished that maybe I could go back in time where I was just invisible, not being searched for. Blood started dropping from my fresh wound. I looked at the plaster which had started coming off. I noticed that Hazel's bandage was ripped. I walked by her and we started doing each other's bandages. With the frequent staring in the eyes of each other, I felt an unbreakable bond being formed that was invisible to the human eye but seen by us. It clicked. Oh my god! After finishing the bandages I stood up and told Hazel my hypothesis.

"Hazel, what if Aliron wants us because we have something special that normal humans don't?" I answered. Her eyes started widening and I knew I was right.

"I think mine has something to do with the future or something. What about you?" I asked. Hazel was about to talk but then-

"HOW ABOUT WE TAKE THESE POWERS AND USE THEM TO KILL?!" Alex roared.

I felt a sudden desire to vomit. Looks like we're in trouble.
