I felt the tip of that syringe jam roughly into my arm. Stephanie definitely wasn't a skilled nurse, otherwise that shit wouldn't have hurt at all.

"Say good night, Jacy." She laughed right in my face as I felt the substance, whatever it was, start to spread through my body.

I felt a slight numbing spread through me. My body was hard to move and there was a cold sensation moving throughout my limbs. She was giving me an anesthetic so that I would be partially awake but unable to move. That was diabolical. Yup, sure enough I saw that she was bringing out an oxygen tank and put a mask on my face. This was to keep me from suffocating while I was basically paralyzed from the drug.

I waited for the drug to take full effect. I knew that it had to just be a matter of time. It would happen, and soon. Or so I thought.

I was still able to move, I was still able to breathe normally. The drugs weren't as effective as they should have been.
