Chapter 85: Arrived at the clan.

My head was throbbing massively, pain beginning to pulse behind my eyes. My stomach was tight with pangs that felt similar to nausea. The noises in the room were beginning to aid my throbbing head and I didn't want to interrupt whoever was inside the room speaking. I could only pinpoint a male and a female, the male was my mate.

"She stressed her brain a lot. She forces herself to recall thereby weakening the brain. I've prescribed drugs to keep off the headaches but she needs to come back for a check up." The female voice which I had presumed was the doctor said.

"Thank you. I hope she wakes up soon." There were retreating footsteps, then Stefan grabbed my hand and kissed it lightly. His lips were warm against my cold hand and I wanted to tell him how much I loved him.

~A day to Christmas.~

~Stefan's pov.~

I made Elena sleep on my shoulder as Aaron drove through the dark night to the White witch's clan. The drive to the clan was 3-4 hours.

I could remember the last time I found myself in the clan was the times I had ran with my mate for refuge. And today, I am determined to take her back to the clan.

I didn't want her to stay anywhere close to the hunters, dark witches and my mother. Before, she had to humble herself as a maid to save me, she didn't stop there, she tried to stop my father from executing his plans but now, she needn't not to worry, I am here.

The way she pout her mouth while sleeping made me smile. I brought her hand to my lips and kissed it softly, she slowly opened her eyes and smiled sweetly.

"Did I wake you?." I whispered. "No. I'm able to feel relaxed after such a long time."

I felt bad, I had stressed her enough. I wanted her to rest after our last visit to the doctor.

"I'm sorry." I apologized.

"Why?." She asked.

"For everything, for hurting you. I'm deeply sorry." I replied remorsefully. She pulled out of my arms and kissed me deeply on my lips. Our hands were locked together and we communicated with deep emotions and love.

The next hour, when my mate had slept back on my arms, I could see the night watchers pointing their torches as our car approached them.

Aaron cut the engine and the sudden quiet was broken by the footsteps approaching the car. Their leader pointed a torch light at me and then on Aaron.

He reached down a device that was latched onto his belt, "They're here."

"Are they with the chosen one?." The princess asked. I rolled my eyes when the man pointed the torch at my mate's face. She twitched her eyes and opened it.

"Yes ma'am." He replied. "Let them in." She ordered and the line went dead.

"We're home?." Elena asked.

"Yes, my love. Would you like to sleep more?." I asked, carefully stroking her hair. "I don't think so." She straightened up.

Just when we climbed out of the car, I was greeted by a chill that hung heavily in the winter air. My gaze wandered over the castle that I had been. The familiar shadow of ivy crept up the stone walls and the doorway was large and wooden.

There were twenty four windows and a wild, untamed forest stretched in every direction. This was the royal house of the clan. I'd noted that Madam Maggret was only a steward of the royal household.

"Big castle, I love it " Cali's excited voice made me look to see if Elena was standing beside me. "I see you're enjoying the view over here." She muttered. "As I didn't care to notice the last time I came."

She chuckled lightly,"How long are you staying?." I thought for a while, "I planned to stay until after the war. I.."

"Elena.." A female voice cut me off the conversation.

We looked up to find Ava smiling at the doorway. Standing beside her was her mate. My mate smiled while she ran down the three stairs to meet us. "Careful.." Her mate said after her.

"Wow..Ava..I can't believe you're here." Elena said before taking her in a hug.

Aaron was taking out our luggages from the car, while the house keepers took them up the stairs.

I stepped up to greet Alpha Edward. The last time I saw him was the day he came for my mate. I also heard he broke the alliance with Jake.

"They're really catching up." Edward said, smiling down dreamily at them. Female mates are like treasure, they are dear to our hearts.

"Good evening, Edward." I greeted taking out my hand for a handshake. "Welcome, Stefan and Aaron. It's good to see you again."

"Feels good. Can we head in?." He gestured towards the door. "Sure.." I turned to the ladies filling the air with laughter. "Ladies, come in now or you'll catch a cold." Aaron shouted behind me.

I was sent into the familiar room I and my mate once had. The room was just the same, I pulled off my coat and dropped it on the bed. The wardrobe still had the clothes I wore while I camped in here.

I sat down on the bed and opened my trolley bag, I carried my laptop and sat down on the bed.

~Elena's pov ~

"I like her." Cali whispered, "She can hear you..", I whispered back and Ava turned smiling at her.

"You're different from all the dark witches I've known." Ava said and I chuckled..

"What do you expect from someone whose mate is a royal witch?." She added with a small laugh. I looked down at the glass table, studying it like it was something special as I avoided the shocked gazes of Cali jeane.

"What did you say?." She finally found her voice.

"You didn't tell her?." Ava questioned, pouring wine into a glass and handed it to me.

"You knew?." Ava asked me. Okay, I'm being bombarded with questions right now.
