Elsewhere in the stands, another person was beginning to understand everything that had happened during the fight.

"What are you talking about? Is Malcom winning?" Violet asks, hopeful but still puzzled.

"That's what it looks like!" Ben answered.

Just as Ben spoke, a huge scream of agony suddenly spread throughout the clearing and throughout the stadium.

When the smoke finished dissipating, Malcom was standing a few meters from Skyler. She was the one who was writhing in pain on the floor.

In the box of Virtues…

Nobody believed what they saw when Jonah said, "I told you!"

Mabel rose from her position with her mouth wide open.

"What the fuck just really happened!?" Mabel demanded while looking at Jonas. She asked that question to herself earlier and then dismissed it. Now, she just could not ignore that Malcom was doing something she had not seen before.

Jonah laughed. He took a sip of the drink before he looked at Mabel with a grin. "Do you know what the bonding drive is?" He asked, with brows rising up and down.

In the clearing…

Skyler twisted while her black hands from the burns emitted a smell of burned flesh.

With tears in her eyes and intense pain, the girl could barely observe Malcom, who was walking towards her.

She glared at him with bloodshot eyes, glazed with unmasked tears.

Malcom winced when he noticed her eyes that were about to cry. There was a part of him feeling guilty for making a woman cry. But they were in a fight. It's stupid to have mercy with the opponent.

"Sorry, it's not a very clean way to win," Malcom uttered softly.

"What did you do to me!?" Skyler screamed. She spat out of her mouth. Her clean and noble-like image was nowhere to be seen at that moment.

"I did not do anything to you," Malcom raised his hands in defense. He then added, "You did all that to yourself."

In the stands…

"All energy passes through a conduit that links that energy to action. In the case of sorcerers, they are the words in the case of Materializers, it is their mind you can build objects with great mental firmness, but in the case of warrior beasts and elementals, it is their body," Ben smilingly explained to Violet while he continued to look at the screen.

"Like a conduit?" Violet asked curiously.

"Something like that. Malcom broke Skyler's conduit!" Bend answered brightly.

"But how did he do that?" Violet was amazed but also confused.

Ben hummed before he started to explain it to her softly, "Making her break it..."

In the Virtue´s box…

Mabel was confused as well with what had just happened.

"That boy is brilliant!" Jonah declared.

"You keep saying that!" Mabel was losing her patience, so she demanded, "Tell me, how did he do that?"

"Haven't you noticed yet? You said it yourself, that girl can use level one Mage attacks without formal training, right?" Jonah questioned with raised brows.

"Yeah!" Mabel agreed. She still looked at Jonah with confusion, "And what up with that?"

"How many level one spells can you do continuously?" Jonah asked with a smile while both of them watched the screen.

"I don't know! No one has ever survived one!" She answers with the arrogance and the confidence that the Virtues had.

"Exactly, she has the same situation as you. And he took advantage of that," Jonas responded as he leaned over the railing.

He then continued, "Without training, no one should do those spells, but she can. Sadly, her body is not used to that pressure!"

In the Bio- Dimension…

Skyler, with her arms burned, looked at Malcom with a complicated expression. She was looking at Malcom with anger, frustration, and disbelief.

"Twenty victories, all with an impressive speed, great spells that finished all your opponents. No one could ever take more than two hits from you," he said.

"You… What do…" Skyler could not continue what she was about to say. Her pain was incredible. She had never felt so helpless before. It was like a nightmare.

"What?" Malcom snorted while looking at her. He then pulled out a card, "You prodigies! Everything has a consequence, princess. Not because you can do something means that you should. You should have thought about what all that power would generate in your body. Your body is the channel through which all that destructive magic passes. What did you think would happen when you overuse it?"

The puzzled girl tried to stand up. She would not give up, not in front of someone who was never her match, to begin with.

"Don't you know? Strength could be a big weakness too!" Malcom declared, just as his card activated. A huge spear appeared.

Malcom took the spear. While looking at Skyler, he said, "Learn from this defeat, girl! You would be even more powerful in the future!"

And with those words, he was prepared to end Skyler's life.

"I still haven't lost!" Skyler screamed as if tearing her throat. Her eyes were red with unshed tears. "Burn!" She yelled as she lit her entire body on fire.

A huge amount of Flames engulfed the place once again. The light emitted by that attack was such that it dazzled everyone in the stadium.

The flames devoured the whole place, part of the lake evaporated, and the trees were instantly incinerated, the whole place was destroyed, and in the midst of all that destruction.

Skyler, roasted everywhere except her eyes. She held Malcom's spear, which shone in a blue flame without any damage.

She fell to her knees, and Malcom's jacket absorbed all the fire around him until it returned to normal.

Malcom frowned as he raised his spear and said softly, "You never had a chance..."

And with those words, he set out to finish Skyler when the simulation ended.

In the box of the Virtues…

Maximo was standing, looking at Malcom with hostility. The leader of the Virtues clearly did not want to accept what had happened.

Malcom, noticing the gaze of the leader of the Virtues, stood up to everything he gave and looked directly at him, the man said.

"The time of the match is over!" Maximo's voice boomed loudly in the entire place.

All present began to murmur.

"The winner is Miss Skyler for her wide repertoire of attacks. Without a doubt, she is the one who deserves the triumph," Maximo continued again loudly.

And without giving any other statement, he withdrew.

There was silence at first. It did not take long for the people to begin making comments of confusion.

It was clear that the people were not sure whether they were to applaud or boo the terrible decision that Virtue had made.

Many got angry as well. Those people started to chant Malcom's name, a name owned by a Marked.

Jonah looked at the boy with curiosity and anticipation.

"They will never let you take him as a successor," Mabel said. She could easily guess whatJonah's thoughts were.

Jonah smiled. "He knows that better than we do. He is laughing!" He answered before he got up and began to walk away.

In the center of the stadium…

Right next to a speechless commentator, Skyler cried. She kept crying while her gaze was focused on Malcom.

Despite his frustrated expression, or her still being declared a winner, Skyler could not find any reason to be happy.

He defeated her. That's the fact that she could not accept just like that.

Malcom couldn't care less about Skyler's feelings.

'Sometimes being enough is not enough in this world,' He thought dejectedly.
