2 A Cat In The Mirror (1)

The sphere glowed again, and both of the mage fighters felt the magical energy that would lead their consciousness to another place.

Selina opened her eyes and found herself at the top of a skyscraper.

Everything looked beautiful, and the place had a starry sky above it. There were many buildings and places to jump in the metropolis. These would help her win the power stage duel.

Selina grinned in satisfaction. Her win was set in stone.

Everything was going according to her plan.

"A city? I thought you would choose something more junglelish."

She suddenly heard someone speak with unmasked surprise. It was the voice of her opponent.

His voice was coming from the real world. However, inside the Bio-Dimension, his position was unknown.

Selina snorted before she began to sniff the environment. The scent of the only other person in the city appeared quickly.

"I'm not an animal! These buildings improve my mobility. But what would a loser, like you know?!" Selina yelled.

'How dare you attach the word hunter in your name? Now see how you will be hunted!' Selina thought in contempt before she jumped to one of the buildings. Her eyes were filled with bloodlust, as she imagined how Malcom would look when he'd begged for mercy.

Inside one of the buildings, in a wide room, which looked like a cafeteria, Malcom was sitting in one of the chairs.

His appearance was reflected in the ceiling of the place. One could see the blue flames drawn on the back of his black leather jacket. He was also wearing a white shirt under it. His pants and combat boots were black as well.

A small knife hung in a sheath behind him, and his hat covered his black hair.

Malcom's face was void with any expression. Then it could be heard that someone was approaching at great speed.

While he was waiting, his opponent jumped from wall to wall. Selina was quickly shortening their distance.

The girl now had tiger marks on her skin as well as on her clothes, and her eyes looked like those of a feline.

Her eyes narrowed when she looked at the building where Malcom was.

'Found yah!' Selina triumphantly thought as she licked her fangs in anticipation. She immediately entered a window.

But as soon as she did, Malcom threw a chair at her, but Selina just smashed it into pieces.

She swiftly jumped towards Malcom.

"Die!" Selina yelled as she raised her right hand, her sharp claws, intended to pierce on Malcom's chest.

In the box, seeing this, Satin gave another of his boastful laughs.

Everyone knew what would happen next. It was the end of the fight.

Shatter!

The sound of something that was smashed resounded loudly to everyone's ears.

However, instead of Malcom's body, Selina's claws shattered a mirror.

Selina growled loudly when she realized that she was fooled.

She glared at the pieces of mirror that were falling on the ground. Malcom's reflection was quickly changed to hers.

But before the shattered pieces finally hit the floor, the fragments of the mirror rotated around her. Small bleeding wounds appeared against Selina's skin caused by the sharp shards.

The rotation intensified before Selina could escape. The largest piece of the mirror cut off the young woman's arm instantly.

"Ah!" Selina yelled. It took a second for her to understand that her arm had been separated from her body, and the moment she understood it, her pain became real.

Everyone who saw the scene fell silent. Satin's laughter halted, thus all the mocking murmurs from the audience.

Selina fell to her knees while the blood continued to fall down her severed arm.

"She lost it! Malcom just cut off Selina's arm!" The entertainer yelled. His voice unmasked with surprise.

The atmosphere suddenly changed when everyone understood that the movement had been impressive and entertaining. No one expected it, but everyone respected the strong ones.

It did not take long for cheers in favor of Malcom to be heard from the crowd, all the fans started screaming.

Selina couldn't care less about the audience's noise.

Her gaze of disbelief was focused on her severed arm on the floor. The spilling blood was spreading up to her feet.

"What's going on? I thought the loser was me!"

Selina heard Malcom who commented mockingly.

"You are dead!" Selina yelled, her eyes bloodshot with contempt as if she was mad crazy. Her anger took hold of her.

Selina got up before she tore off a piece of her pants. She then tied it around her arm to stop bleeding.

However, this was not very efficient.

She closed her eyes to sense Malcom's scent once more.

Due to what happened earlier, Selina was now cautious. She was completely focused. It was utter stupidity for her to continue looking down at her opponent after her injury.

Her senses sharpened further, and then she found his scent.

There were five Malcoms in the whole place. It was impossible to tell which one was the real one.

But regardless of how many decoys Malcom has, she would just have to destroy them all!

She ran towards the nearest trace as fast as she could. Selina caught up with one of Malcom's images who was walking on the sidewalk.

Malcom's image looked at her with a taunting smile.

The beast girl growled loudly . In the blink of an eye, she moved her remaining arm, showing her claws that were glistering with sharpness.

Just like before, Selina aimed at his chest. However, her claws did go through him, unlike the first time.

Even though this time the cut was clean and fast, Selina immediately jumped away. This Malcom was another fake one .

The familiar scene of the broken mirror appeared. Since she jumped away, the shards did not hurt her.

Selina went back to chasing after Malcom. She spotted another two.

One was in a corridor of a building and the other at the entrance to a subway, but both were fakes.

The last one she found was in an alley. When Selina appeared in front of him, Malcom smiled at her challengingly.

"Scum! Fight me head-on! Don't keep running away!" Selina yelled as she approached quickly to attack.
