By the third century, A Philosopher suggested the idea of the world entering a state of decaying and regenerating, Which was worked into the concept of multiple universes coexisting with each other, At the same time, Same pace.
By the middle ages, This concept was worked upon to make it more refined, The idea changed from multiple universes being a mirror to this world to instead, Multiple universes having different laws of physics opposing each other.
In the 1960s, A physicist explained the theory of multiple universes existing through his cat, The theory at the time was deem as lunacy, Some years after that, The theory was deemed as plausible but proving it was much too difficult.

This takes place on a different earth, A different world.
A world where gravity is constantly broken and Science is made up of bullshit.
A world where magic exists and its as common as electricity.
This world just so happens to be the starting point if the novel.
And the protagonist is sleeping in one of its many hospitals.
