TRUE COLOURS

"How dare you try to make her choose one of you?" The Reaper frowned in disgust. "How dare you call yourselves her friends? Do you even deserve such a title? Hypocrites like yourselves shouldn't exist on this planet. All you do is cause pain and suffering. I exist because of you – I will teach you all a lesson – one that you'll never ever forget!"

Francis moved back in fear, "Damon… this doesn't concern you…"

"Oh, it does. Seeing you all bully such a beautiful girl has made me wonder why I shouldn't kill all of you," The Reaper who was precisely Damon replied.

Stephan walked towards Damon with his hands tucked in his pockets, "Damon the Reaper, just like Francis has said, I do not see why you should involve yourself in matters like this. And technically, we aren't the bullies here; you are. In fact, it's what you always do."

Damon chuckled, "My sister died two days ago, and I somewhat feel guilty. My unwelcoming guilt made me want to change my belligerent ways, and now, seeing this beauty has solidified my reason for becoming a better person. Trust me when I say you three have no place in her heart."

"So, you think that you do?" Matthew asked.

"It is her heart. It is up to her to decide," Damon replied.

 "We know that—"

"Yet you force her!" Like a tiger, Damon lashed out at Francis before he could finish his statement. Facing his deadly gaze, Francis fell to the ground – even the crowd of students around them were spooked by Damon's voice. "Forcing another person to act against his or her will; this I despise the most!"

At that said, Damon launched himself towards Stephan. Stephan was cut off guard and there was absolutely no way he could avoid Damon's attack.

He's fast! Damon threw several deadly blows at Stephan who had no choice but to politely collect them. And just like that, in less than five seconds, Stephan was already beaten down to a pulp! Francis picked up his bag and started to run.

"Where do you think you're going?!" Damon revealed his phone and threw it at Francis.

"Oh! That was the ultimate move! The P-bullet!" Seeing Damon throwing his phone, TC shouted out to his viewers.

"P-bullet?" Others around his were quite surprised by his sudden outburst.

I don't think I can avoid it! Francis cried out just as the phone knocked into his head, rendering him unconscious instantly.

Matthew was amazed as well as shocked by Damon's actions. Fear gripped his heart as he watched Damon approach him. However, right before Damon could grab him, Vanessa stepped in between them with a frown on her face.

"That's enough! I never asked for your help!" She roared at him.

"I do not need your permission to help you," Damon replied.

 "Yes, you do!" Vanessa corrected.

Damon hesitated before moving closer to Vanessa. As she was about to take a step backward when Damon pulled her forward. Whispering into her ear, he said, "Stephan, and Francis are not who you see them to be. Trust your instincts. Know what is right and what is wrong."

She couldn't understand what he meant by what he said, all she knew was that he was someone very dangerous. "Go away!"

Damon squinted his eyes at Matthew and spoke, "Hurt her and I promise you that you won't graduate alive."

Watching Damon leave, Matthew heaved sighed of relieve as he picked up his bag and prepared to leave.

 "You're leaving?" Vanessa sobbed.

"I have to. I've gone through so much just to make it to where I am today, and I'm not going to let a girl ruin my life," Matthew turned to leave.

"Wait!" Vanessa stopped him, "What if I say yes?"

Hearing her words, Matthew hesitated for a moment. Deep down, he wanted her, but being with her was something that could never happen in this lifetime. Matthew glanced at her, "If you were to say yes, I would say no. I'm sorry for hurting you, Vanessa."

THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE

The principal frowned in anger when the news of the 'fight' reached his ears. In his office, sat a few lecturers along with Vanessa, Francis, Stephan, Matthew and Damon. Sitting in the presence of Damon, the principal felt uncomfortable.

"What happened at the library today?" The lecturer in charge of the questioning asked.

 "I wasn't involved I swear!" Matthew answered.

"Wrong answer," The lecturer gazed at Matthew, "Tell me what happened."

"We got into a fight, what's the big deal?" Damon said.

The lecturer nodded his head, "Who started the fight?"

"They did," Damon pointed at Stephan and Francis. "Apparently, they tried to force a girl to go out with them – ridding her of her free will. I intervened and taught them a lesson. End of story, can we go now?"

"Damon, you fought within school grounds. It is against the school rules to fight!" The principal said to Damon.

"A girl was being harassed in my presence and I helped her by merely beating up some assholes. I'm well aware that fighting within school grounds is punishable by expulsion, but what I did, I did to help. You can't expel me." Damon was precise in defending himself.

Mr. Davis, the lecturer in charge of the questioning spoke, "Damon Melado, I suggest you mind your attitude! Fighting is against the school rules; that is all that matters!"

"So, let's say she was being raped and I had to fight these assholes to save her, would you still involve 'school rules?" Damon asked Mr. Davis, but the latter could not answer his question.

"Alright, that's enough…" Another lecturer butted in, "We never planned on punishing them in the first place. I'm pretty sure all of my lecturers here know that these four boys are important students in our institution, we can't just expel them."

"Mr. Hanzel is right, we cannot expel them. But this news of this incident has already spread like wildfire – surely, we can't just leave them be," Another lecturer added. His name was Michael.

There were five lecturers in the room: Mr. Davis, Mr. Hanzel, Michael, Miss Flauce and Mr. Harrow. These five people were senior lecturers in Rollins College and they were always summoned to solve issues similar to the one they were in now.

"Perhaps we can punish the girl. After all, she seems the least important among them." Miss Flauce brought up her suggestion.

"No, you can't punish Vanessa. It's not her fault all this happened!" Francis replied.

"What do you think, Stephan?" Miss Flauce asked Stephan.

Stephan glanced at Vanessa before responding, "Is that the only way to get out of this mess?"

"What if it is?" Miss Flauce retorted.

 "Then go for it."

Creation is hard, cheer me up! cheer me up! cheer me up! cheer me up!

What do you think of Stephan?

What do you think of Francis?

What do you think of Matthew?
