104 Xia's Dead

"Time of death 1:00 pm."

The electrocardiogram monitor showed a depressing flat line and the 'beep beep' sound from the monitor echoed inside the dead silent operating room.

The doctor tried to revive the patient who still have a very weak heartbeat when she was rushed to the hospital but their efforts all went in vain. The patient breathed her last, and her finger flinched for one last time before her life was taken from her.

The doctors stared at each other, then their gaze landed back to the cold, pale body lying on the operating table. There are tears upon the edge of their eyes wanting to fall down but being professional as they are, they keep their tears at bay. The woman was stranger to them but they can't help their selves but feel the pain as they watch the last sign of life escape her body.
