1 Newly Found Friend

"Look mommy!" A little boy said aloud while pointing towards Xia's direction. The boy was at least four years old. As he spoke a pair of deep dimples appeared on both of his pinkish cheeks.

Xia smiled at the boy. She was in a restaurant to buy something for lunch and that exact statement greeted her upon stepping inside.

"Isn't she the girl who slapped prince Zachary?" He said the words as if it was the most natural thing to say. He even tugged his mother's dress to catch as he looked at Xia with wide innocent eyes.

Oh no! Not again! Xia suddenly froze in her tracks. Everybody looked at her. Grande Restaurant fell into a deafening silence. The child's innocent remark unintentionally gave way to intrigue and stirred the interests of the customers inside.

The sudden change in atmosphere enveloped Xia with embarrassment. The sound of her own harsh breathing was the only sound she could hear.

Time seemed to travel slower as Xia stood in the center of the carpeted aisle. When she tried to move her feet, it felt so heavy against the floor as if her own feet were stuck to the ground. For several minutes. she stood paralyzed to her place. While the feeling of embarrassment consumed her inside.

Xia's mind was as empty as a vacuum. Its blankness was making her unable to think about her next move. Her eyes scanned the wideness of the place as she searches for an escape. The Entrance door was very far from her and going back to it would be very awkward because it would only prove that she was the girl the little boy referred to.

Xia's eyes landed back to the little boy, an awkward smile formed on her lips. The boy gazed at her wondering. How could someone as beautiful as this one cause so much trouble? Suddenly the boy smiled back at Xia. Giving her a perfect view of his deep dimples while his eyes crinkled at the edge. In an instant, her heart melted. Xia smiled wider at the boy. No matter how naughty and troublesome kids are, she still loves and adores them.

The mother looked at her son with gentleness on her eyes. With a soft and gentle voice, she began to lecture him which the boy just shrugged and replied loudly "Mom, you told me to be honest, didn't you?" The mother just looked at Xia apologetically.

When Xia finally found her strength she headed to the direction she saw as an escape. Without looking back, she made a beeline straight to the comfort room. When she was already safe inside she let go a huge sigh of relief as she leaned into the sink. She needs to plan her escape.

Xia decided to wash her hands. She once read an article saying washing the hands could lessen the stress level of a person. Maybe it could really calm her.

While doing so, Xia's mind actively searches for an escape. She discards the thought of going out of the small window. It was so mall and she would end up in the trash can. There's nothing more embarrassing than that.

Xia's thoughts were cut after she sensed that someone was watching her. Looking at the mirror in front of her she saw no one.

Xia felt as the hair in her entire body started to rise and she could almost feel the hair in her head rise too. She was already rinsing her hands when the lights flickered like a Christmas tree.

Oh my God! My life turned out to be so extraordinary the moment I started working with the Fallen Angel. I must have something that attracts me to spectral phenomenon. Xia thought.

Xia was drying her hands with a tissue when she decided to get out before anything more horrifying could happen. But before she could reach the door it suddenly closed with a loud bang.

Oh my gosh! Just oh my gosh! How many of these unexpected things my nerves could tolerate?

Xia turned the doorknob. Surprisingly, it was stuck as if someone had locked it from the outside. The feeling that someone was watching her intensified. But when she turns around. There's no one. Shiver runs to her body once more.

Xia heard footsteps approaching her way. She turn at her back but there's no one again. The footsteps keep echoing inside. There was suddenly cries. A woman sobbing. It became louder and louder. Xia don't know where it was coming from.

My goodness. The fucking door won't open and I'm freaking out right now, I'm on the verge of hysterics.

When Xia looked beside her. There she saw someone. A lady wearing a black dress. Her hair was long and it was partially covering her face. Her eyes! They are large and red-rimmed and there were large eye bags under her eyes. Xia felt she was about to faint.

She became nearer and nearer and Xia was speechless from shock. She don't want her to be near her. When Xia finally regained her voice she let go the most eardrum-shattering scream that she could muster. As if on cue, the lights went on.

"You scared me!" The woman said. Xia realized that she was not a ghost.

Isn't me the one who supposed to say that? She scared me to death. Xia thought after regaining her senses. When Xia has a glimpse of the woman's face, she realized that she was not as scary as she first thought. In fact, she was remarkably beautiful. It was her uncombed hair that made her look scary and her eyeliner was smudged all over her eyes.

Xia realized the girl has been crying.
