Missing

The next few days were just me falling into this schedule of school and talking to Olive Tyler and Julie. I never wanted to go home but there wasn't anywhere else to go. I'm just waiting at this point, for my dad to get a house somewhere else while I try saying goodbye to Maya. Forever. I hated everything and everyone. I didn't want to go.

"Want to go to the field before going home?" Olive asked after school. Tyler was sick that day so he wasn't with us.

"Yeah." I said and we walked to the field and called for Maya. When she didn't answer and I couldn't find her, my heart started racing. She was nowhere. Gone.

"What do we do!" I yelled. was going to start lashing out and I knew it but I couldn't stop it. Thankfully she knew it too and let me. I couldn't breathe right. I had to pull myslef out of this before it turned into a panic attack. We called Tyler and he got out of bed to help us even though he was sick.

"Where could she have gone?" Tyler asked

"I don't know!" I screamed

"What if she has an owner and they came and got her?" Everything withing the past few weeks passed through my head and then it hit me. There was very few people who knew Maya existed. I knew where to go.

"Guys. State Fair grounds. Now." We ran toward them to find Maya.
