Great Britain, a kingdom flowing with riches and the proverbial milk and honey became a center of attraction for other kings and many kingdoms which wanted to be like them. They were so peaceful other kingdoms rarely made war with me and not for lack of trying. But as with all great stories and great cities, it did not all start with roses and lilies. Great Britain, the kingdom started with bloodshed. The previous ruler, Lord Fordwith died a mysterious death with no surviving heir or even relative to take over the throne.

This prompted civil war within the city as every member of the council then wanted the throne for themselves or rather, for their sons so as to immortalize their image on the land. Good men gave up their lives in battles and duels meant to decide the next king of Great Britain. Seeing as no solution was coming, the twelve council members made up of men from each of the twelve clans that constituted the kingdom decided to hold a Conclave. It would be a battle in which the twelve clans would select their champion and each would fight in single combat to the death. The last man standing would therefore be Great Britain's new ruler. Needless to say, the Conclave was a brutal and bloody affair but it produced the next king nonetheless.

King Edward McVeigh began the McVeigh dynasty which has been the ruling house for hundreds of years. King Edward worked towards restoring peace to the fractured twelve clans and bringing them together under one single mandate. And so it continued until it reached the turn of King Alfred McVeigh who was a mage and could only be permitted to be a regent until his son, Noah McVeigh came of age to rule the city himself. This was because it was an unspoken rule that Great Britain would not be ruled by mages, wizards or the likes. Nobody knew why but maybe it was because Great Britain had a nasty encounter years ago with a mage that nearly ruined the peace they worked so hard to cultivate but the tenure of King Alfred was no doubt the very thing that would unravel all they had worked for because of a single mistake.
