16 Time skip

Time passed since Roger's execution and me causing chaos. I used the first year to meditate and take care of Rogue and Ace a bit. But he was too small to do anything except drink mild and sleep. Although I could see the strong spirit this one had. He was indeed a child of Roger.

During the first year, I reached enlightenment. I sat under a big tree that was brimming with life energy. I tried to attune myself to the essence of the world and the universe but that didn't yield any results. So I tried a different approach. I reviewed my past life and my current one. I saw myself from a 3rd Person view and saw my decisions. I saw my path towards the moment when I tried to meditate. I saw my desperation to find my place, my purpose without result. I saw what happened when I meditated for the first time ... I unknowingly reached enlightenment and was granted what should have been mine from the start.

Then I see my current life. The torture and the experiments that they did to me. I saw my passive approach to all things. I knew that this was unusual for humans or any living being. And yet, I didn't find anything wrong with it. It was who I was at my core. I wasn't trying to save the world, I always did what I wanted.

I confronted my feelings and beliefs. I encountered a version of myself that seemed to represent my six destructive emotions and desires. And even though he wanted to ... I refused to fight. I renounced my earthly desires and my six destructive emotions.

I renounced them. Ignorance, desire, anger, pride, doubt, beliefs (wrong view). But what did that mean for me? Did that mean, that I no longer had any desires? No, that's not right. I wasn't sure how the real Buddha did it. But I didn't do that. I wanted to experience new things and see other worlds and universes. I wanted to continue to do what I wanted, but I didn't want to be influenced by earthly desires.

So I renounced all of them and rose beyond them.

.

After nearly 2 years, I finally reached the enlightenment that made me attuned to the world and the Universe, even the Multiverse and Omniverse beyond that. I knew that there was still more to uncover but that would come later. I was in no rush at the moment.

There was something that I understood. I knew that I would be alone in my life. I would walk alone, on a path no one had ever walked before. Well, that might not be entirely accurate, considering what I now know. I wonder if there might come a day, that I will not be alone anymore? No matter what 'friends' I had here in this world of pirates and marines, at the end of the day, I was still alone.

"Throughout Heaven and Earth, I alone am the Honoured One!"

.

Ace was two years old when I reached enlightenment. I knew of an event happening that I wasn't interested to see happen. So I was going to intervene and protect some people.

"Sid! Sid!", a voice screams behind me.

"Hm? Ace, what are you doing here?", I ask the small boy who is breathing heavily.

"Where are you going, Sid? Please don't leave, and if you do ... take me with you!", he said with conviction. He was truly a strong boy for his age. I smiled and patted his head. I heard this is calming when I do that.

"Relax, Ace. I'm going to take care of something. I'll be back soon, don't worry. And when I do, we'll go eat something. How's that sound?", I asked him and saw the stars in his eyes. He loves to eat, that much is certain.

"Really?!"

"Sure."

"Ok, but come back quickly!!"

"Sure thing Ace. See you when I see you.", I said and then took a step forward, disappearing from his view. My enlightenment brought with it a few advantages. Space and time were now things that I understood. And using that knowledge, I could take steps that broke the laws of physics, even in this world, and travel anywhere I wanted.

.

I reach the island a moment later and look around. I walk and find a small black-haired girl hiding behind a house and looking at the place where all the residents of this island are kept at gunpoint by what I assume to be Cipher Pol. The girl notices something happening behind her and looks back.

When she sees me she wants to cry and I can see the fear in her eyes. I smile at her and get on her level.

"There is no reason for you to cry, little bird. I'm not an enemy.", I say and we look at what is happening.

.

"Is that right?", someone says from the Den Den Mushi.

"Yes, they deserve the death penalty. Since we seized the evidence, we'll carry out your orders."

"It cannot be helped. This is quite unfortunate; however, they violated the world's laws. We cannot overlook it."

"Stop the blatant superficial talk, Five Elder Stars.", Professor Clover says.

"Wha ...! Don't be rude! You're talking to the leaders of the world!"

"Is this Ohara's Professor Clover, the authority of archaeology?", the voice from the Den Den Mushi asks, "I know your name well since you've contributed to the world's culture. To think that someone of your calibre would take the wrong path ..."

"The past belongs to all mankind. No one has the right to stop one from wanting to know our unspoken history!", Clover says.

"Reading the Poneglyphs makes it possible to revive the ancient weapon, which puts the world in danger. Even if your research has the best of intentions, all it takes is for someone to come along and use your research."

"No matter what happened in the past, if humans created that history, we should accept it all. If we don't succumb to fear and learn all of history, we can take countermeasures no matter what happens.", Clover argues.

"That's an idealistic argument."

"Is that so? Isn't that reasoning just a convenient excuse for you? Out of what is still left to us, what interests us the most are the contents of the Poneglyphs, along with their reason for existing in the first place.

Why did the ancients take the trouble to inscribe the text on hard stones in order to pass it down to the future? They inscribed history on unbreakable stones and scattered them around the world. Is it not because they thought that their message would be eradicated if they wrote it on paper or in books?

In other words, it is the proof that those who left the Poneglyphs clearly had an enemy.", Clover said.

"What are you trying to say, Professor Clover?"

"If we assume that they were defeated by some kind of enemy and so ceased to exist, this enemy must have remained in history from that point on. Coincidentally, just when the 'Blank Century' ended 800 years ago, the World Government was founded. If the current World Government was the 'enemy' of those that ceased to exist, one could think that the 'Blank Century' is an inconvenient history that was hushed up by the World Government.

By analyzing the ancient documents and some Poneglyphs, we eventually noticed the existence of a country. What the documents brought to light was the existence of a grand kingdom. Although it seems to have boasted much power in the past, the information on this country has obsessively been erased. They probably sensed they'd be defeated by the allied countries, later to become the World Government, and so inscribed all the truth on stones to pass it down to the future.

Indeed, those stones are the Ponelgyphs that remain to this very day.", Clover finishes his theory.

"I see. That's a bold hypothesis.", the Elder says.

"It's true that the ancient weapon would threaten the world. However, isn't it actually that the World Government is more threatened by people becoming aware of that kingdom's existence and ideology?", Clover asks.

.

I look at the girl and smile.

"He's quite a smart man, isn't he?"

"Yes. Clover is the smartest man in Ohara. Who are you?", she says after finally understanding that I, a foreign man have appeared here and am listening to what is happening.

"You can call me Sid."

"And what are you doing here? Can ... can you help my mother and Clover ... *sob* please."

"Of course little bird.", I say and we continue watching. I sense that things will turn bad any moment now. I wasn't expecting it to look this way. I thought I'd see destruction and death all around, but I must be early. That's good.

.

"We still have to analyze what this threat is, but the name of this once-prosperous kingdom that holds the key to everything is ...", Clover continues and the moment I felt was coming arrived.

"Eliminate him!", the voice is heard over the Den Den Mushi.

*Bang*

The sound of a gunshot is heard and right after it ...

*Ding*

The sound of metal hitting metal is heard. I'm standing in front of Clover, holding my staff and blocking the shot.

"My my, Gorosei ... killing someone for knowing something you deem dangerous ... you haven't changed."

"That voice ... Sid. Former Roger Pirate ... what are you doing there?"

"Well you see, I was just in the area and I thought this would be a delightful home for a summer vacation ... what do you think I'm here for?"

"Give the attack signal. Ohara knows too much. Don't let even a single person escape. And kill 'Spiky Tooth' Sid, immediately.", the Elder says to which I smile.

"I hope you brought your A-game you old dogs. Otherwise, this will be a walk in the park.", I grin and hold the wrist of the CP that just attacks me.

I then give him a little squeeze and break his wrist. I then throw him away and look at the Oharans behind me. The old Professor is still alive, so he can lead these people to safety. I don't have a ship, so that might cause a problem ... well we can just take one of theirs I guess.

The ugly one in front of me takes out a golden Den Den Mushi and presses a button. I see. So that's the activation for the Buster Call. How sad to think that they truly believe this is the right call to make. This disregard for life would anger me if I still had that emotion. But it disgusts me nonetheless. I have no more doubts. I was not originally meant to be here, but here I am. My release from attachments and obstacles made me an anomaly of sorts. This world could no longer predict what I will do.

I will fight these World Government dogs and everything they throw at me. I will protect this life, as that's what I feel is the right thing to do. And because that's what I want to do.

.

"How dare you! Attack him together!", the CP screams and all of the marines that are present aim their guns at me and fire. But the bullets don't do any damage. I use a burst of Haoshoku and knock every one of the Marines and CP out.

"Now then, how about we leave this place?", I say as an explosion is heard and the big tree in the middle of the Island begins to burn.

"The Tree of Knowledge is on fire!"

"What is the World Government doing!"

"Who are you, young man?", Professor Clover asks me.

"I am Siddharta, but you can call me Sid. I came here because I felt disaster would strike your island. I will take you away from here."

For those that aren't happy with the 'enlightenment' well suck it up. It is what it is. For those who aren't happy because I was spouting BS, I apologise, I don't know much about these things.

What you must know is this: He is finally attuned with the Multiverse and Omniverse and can travel/go whenever he wishes now. There are a few things he might take care of before then though.
