Chapter 4: Motivation Pt. 4(Final)

I was at my limit, barely able to keep my body from falling down, but as I looked at the boss monster he was also at its limit. Dozens of villagers, including my father died trying to take him down.

'I can't waste this opportunity, I only get one chance, I need my axe!'

The axe was behind the big goblin, next to my dad's crushed body. I saw his lifeless eyes staring into my soul.

'I'm sorry father, I couldn't save mom or you, I was to powerless'

The big goblin didn't waste any time, and began to run towards me, with his fists dangling behind him, with cuts all over it. I was preparing for the right moment.

'Wait for it... he is almost.... NOWWW!'

The big goblin was now within hugging distance, giving Eren the chance to roll under his legs and pierce its back with the spear, but as he tried to rip it out, the front broke off from the base.

'Oh no, crap!!!!'

He put his arms up in a defensive position and got hit by its dangling arm, making Eren fly towards his dad's body.

'Crap, I don't feel so good, I can barely stand.'

Eren was struggling to get up, he looked at the big goblin who was screaming in pain, falling to its knees facing Eren with a furious face. Eren looked at his father, and closed his eyes.

"I will avenge you father"

Eren picked up the axe and got up, falling a couple times, then finally maintaining a balanced form, gripping the axe. "AXE THROWWWW!!!!!!!"

The axe was flying in the air, cutting it and making a whistle noise replica. It began to glow, giving it a white aura, the big goblin put his hand up blocking its head but to Eren's amazement, it sliced right through and piercing its head, causing the big goblin to fall down to its knees and to the ground.

I had a smile on my face, I finally reached my limit. Slowly closing my eyes and falling to the ground next to my father.

"Damnnnn, this is a bloodbath, hahahaha! serves these bugs right"

Eren finally regained some of his strength opening his eyes and witnessing two men dressed in red colored light armor. They were from the outpost that was nearby the village, that served under the kingdom. But he knew nothing good would happen if they knew he was alive.

"I wonder who killed the big fella over there? No one here could have been strong enough to deal with that, hell even they give my group a hard time"

The man who was talking had glasses, and occasionally adjusted them. The other man next to him was shorter than the man wearing glasses, he had two swords on his back.

"Probably a passerby who saw the opportunity. Well lets just record that we did our best but we encountered a small group of goblins on the way here, so we couldn't save them. Plus the higherups wouldn't probably care about this village, they didn't really help our kingdom anyways"

Eren began to clench his fists, but quickly let go as he saw the two look his way.

"Hmmmm, anyways lets go, nothing here for us. Squad Azul and Rosa prepare to move out, we are returning back to the outpost."

The soldiers were messing around, picking up the food that were on the tables outside and raiding our homes before setting out. After making sure they left, Eren got off from the ground and sat next to his father.

"I'm sorry, but I have to leave. I promise I will come back"

Eren picked up his father's axe and began to walk towards his home. Upon arrival he went inside and began gathering anything essential to him, well what was leftover from the raiding. Before setting out he opened up his status.

I began to distribute my points, finding a suitable balance for my current fighting style. As I was looking at my new skill, I caught on that I was lucky and was able to land a critical attack on the big goblin.

My eyes began to shine, when I saw that I was ready for a class advancement.

And the options began to show up, one upon another. Two that caught his attention, ones that he has never seen or heard about in his life.
