32 Chapter 30: Magic and the World

PART 1

Sitting on a throne was none other than another one of the Prophecy Children, Cain. He had finally taken over a section of Ofriedan and planned to move even further on conquering the Kingdon of Densin.

What a sad ending for the village of Etobu.

The village was completely destroyed and rebuilt from Bloody Mary.

The village would be renamed to the village of Cain. A simple name yet with a tragic story behind it. Cain's throne was outside, however there were people surrounding his throne and walking around the small village. Who in their right minds would serve this lunatic?

However, they weren't humans. Instead they were walking corpses; Cain ordering Bloody Mary long ago to resurrect the dead and have them serve him, and so she did.

"So how does it look right now?"

Cain had his foot resting in the throne, talking face to face with one of his subordinates, who also was someone risen from the dead. These individuals were called "The-undead".

"Right now Densin Kingdom has increased its defenses and managed to cast magical barriers around the kingdoms walls. Breaking through the barriers with what we have now may be impossible Lord Cain. The barriers are hosted by powerful sorcerers who's trained for years in mastering defensive magic."

Bloody Mary stood next to his throne before he looked up to face her.

"I never asked, nor I ever used it. But magic, how powerful is it? I don't know it's history, I never cared for its concept."

Bloody Mary giggled underneath her breath and placed her arm around the head of the throne.

"There's a huge difference between Magic and Sin Energy. Long ago there was the sorcerer by the name of Merlin who King Arthur defeated. During the 4th century of the world, she decided to finally get rid of the use of Sin energy. She was a pure soul, perhaps one of my favorite Mortal among others. She tried her hardest to make a formula and create a new system of energy, however she failed."

Bloody Mary eyed the undead in front of her, still speaking to Cain.

"When she failed, she advised to carry out with plan B, and that was gathering a large group of people and worshipping a nonexistent entity named the Spirit of "Magic". Merlin wanted to create something called magic so thus she called the spirit itself Magic. It only made sense."

Mary held up her hand and casted forth a surge of magic within her palm.

"A spirit like myself and others are born from theories, to rumors and from legends, thus this spirit of magic was born from a large group of people taking action on creating it, tired of the usage of Sin Energy and how it functioned. Merlin's plan succeeded, and people all across the country of Shinshui began to use magic, it even spread out to other countries and its existence became known quickly."

Cain would rest his hand underneath his chin lazily.

"Hurry up with the conclusion Mary, you're wasting my time."

Mary had smirked and casted a light fire within her hand from the surge of magic she placed in her palm.

"The Spirit of magic created magic. If the spirit dies then so does magic as well. You would rarely see many use Sin Energy, however the reason you, Seth, and Abel were forced to use Sin Energy was because you had more potential with it than magic. Does that sum it up for you?"

PART 2

Cain didn't change his expression at all, rather it seemed he gotten more annoyed.

"So which one do you think is more versatile? Magic, or Sin Energy?"

Mary placed her finger upon her chin and looked up in wonder.

"Magic of course, but for you three brothers it is Sin Energy without doubt. You three are the actual blood of Adam and Eve."

Cain already knew... Mary told him everything from his last name, his backstory, where he came from... she told him all of it, and yet Cain only cared about one thing, and that was to take over and kill.

"By far I surpass my brother Abel and Seth by a large margin, they wouldn't compare to me. I've done the most Sin any man would ever do, my power is unmatched."

Cain had sat up from his throne before cracking his neck to the side and grasping a iron blade from his sheathe.

"Mary, I'm going to kill the Spirit of Magic."

Cain looked over at Mary with a smirk, his expression mischievous.

"If magic is the only source stopping me from taking over this world, then I order you to take me to the spirit of magic. I'll destroy them with my own hands."

Bloody Mary was shocked at hearing this at first, her eyes widened as if it was the craziest thing he could've said... but soon after-

"Kukuku... kahahahah~! That's why I love you my Cain! I love you more than anyone in this world, that fierce look in your eyes and that brave attitude of yours. So narcissistic~! So carefree, only doing what helps you the most... you are just wonderful!"

Mary's face would turn bright red... her finger was placed within her mouth, suckling upon it like it was a sweet candy.

"Mmmm... very well my dear, we shall travel into the spirit world, and meet the Spirit of Magic. Once it is complete, we'll finally be able to rule this world."

PART 3

Bloody Mary walked forward and pass Cain who waited patiently.

"TEH NAH, UHKO! TREVEH, STEYA DOORMA!"

Chanting the tongue of spirit, she had casted upon the world an opening to another one. In front of Cain and Bloody Mary opened forth a large doorframe.

"L-Lord Cain, shall we wait on your return?"

One of the undead spoke from behind.

"You better wait. This won't take long, I'll be back after I have what's stopping me from carrying out my plan. Sit tight and wait."

Cain stepped into the Doorframe into another world, entering to claim what he believed belong to him. Bloody Mary followed behind.

As they entered into the spirit world, they were inside of a forest, full of floating plants, unforeseen animals which were also spirits. It ranged from transparent wolves and deers, birds that had a distorted feature to even beautiful woman walking in the dirt road into their village.

"I've used the safest method on entering into the Spirit World. Right now is all the things you see from legends, rumors, theories and fears from humans themselves. A wonderful sight isn't it?"

Cain looked around and closed his eyes, walking forward as he ignored Mary's comments.

"Just tell me where I can find this Spirit of Magic. I'll get this over with."
