Chapter 18: Goals

3...2...1... Start!

As the test started, the examinees found themselves in a dark room with red lights blinking none stop, they could also hear the sound of the engine on their ears.

None of them were confused and turned their attention towards their watch, and saw the virtual map.

In the map they could see multiple huge islands connected with some bridges, there are also towns, ruins and mountains.

Tanaka didnt use the standard pubg map since it has many disadvantages and not suited for a battle like this.

Even though Tanaka removed Ninjutsu, and Genjutsu, they could still pick up shuriken and kunai in the battlefield of course their main weapons will be the weapons of sinned replicas.

As their plane passed on the islands, everyone jumped down from their planes and went to their chosen places.

As soon as they landed on the ground, the examinees immediately scattered and looked for supplies.

For this test, Tanaka added some prototype items that had been developed through out the year, for example the chakra first aid kit.

It was in the form of a spray thingy, but inside that was a medical chakra, just spray it on the wound, then whoosh! you are good to go again.

Well, its not so powerful since it could not reconnect lost limbs or close huge wounds but it could still save life.

The other was Chakra pills, it would restore about 5% of the user chakra by drinking a single pill.

The last is an Energy Drink, well, not so innovative but, this energy drink had special effects and also side effects, well, that is it for now.

As the examinees picked up their weapons, they used their brains and didnt immediately came out looking fort trouble, they stayed inside the house they entered and observed the situation outside.

Well, not all of them.

*Boom!

Some of the aggressive ones immediately charged after the houses where they knew where the enemies were, not giving a freak about anything.

One of the examinees kicked open the door and immediately rushed inside carrying a huge axe on his hand.

The moment he saw the other examinee, he immediately raised his axe and swung it after him.

*Clang!

A short sword collided with axe then parried it to the side, the man with the short sword used the delay of raising the axe and stabbed the aggressive man on his throat.

*Tack!

No blood spurted but the guy with the axe died and turned into particles of light, immediately the number of participants went down by one.

And this number was decreasing in a fast pace.

Shin who just defeated one of the examinees wiped his sweat, he then picked the badge on the ground, and immediately went back to hiding.

Shin was one of the most talented students in the academy but he never let himself be arrogant, because he knew, that there are more tall mountains to climb.

They are his goals, and his dream was to reach Tanaka's level someday, even by just a small gap, that is what he considers his goal.

In this test, if he got chosen by one of the Sinned Weapons, then it would be considered the first step for him to reach his goal.

He must not act rashly, he must use his head, dont let emotion cloud his mind.

Just then two examinees entered the house he was in and immediately rushed towards him.

On the other, Shō was moving very fast, jumping on top of the houses with a bow on his hand.

Sou had a staff on his hands that could turn into nun-chucks, he was surrounded by 3 people who teamed up.

All of them had the same goal, ever since they came into this village, they were shown a whole new world, a whole new power, they stood behind a great man, but their goals were to stand beside him.

They then remembered a certain sentence from a manga called No game no life.

If you want to win:

I need a way to be more precise.

Tactics that are more efficient.

I need a more superior strategy!

If you lose that is fine, you can prepare for the next time, even if its against the best of the best, never back down without a fight!

Shin rushed out from the room he was hiding in and stabbed the closest one to him on the heart, he immediately pulled it out and faced the other one.

The man was carrying a morning star on his hand and he swung it towards Shin.

Shin ducked his head and immediately dashed towards the examinee and countered the attack with a swing of the short sword on his hand.

*Slash!

Shō moved around the houses observing everything around him, when he saw just a little bit of movement he will immediately shoot.

*Swoosh!

*Tak!

The target hit its mark but Shō didnt let his guard down, he immediately ducked own avoiding 3 arrows that was aimed at him.

Shō threw the bow away and took the spear on his back and jumped down from the roof.

Just as he expected, the moment he appeared the other examinees immediately fired their bows.

Shō didnt panic and revolved the spear in front of him at a fast speed.

*Tang! *Tang!

The arrows were deflected by the spear and Shō immediately charged after them, like a war god, the spear danced around the tip of his fingers and immediately defeating the 3 examinees in front of him.

Shō picked the badges and continued moving.

Sou was in a dire state facing the 3 examinees simulataneously in front of him, they all have spears on their hand and cautiously poking Sou from the distance.

Sou used the staff to deflect all of their attacks while constantly observing everything around them.

Even if he could not use his Sharingan, he will not go down that easily!

Sou found an opening and immediately kicked away the spear that was going for his legs and then deflected the other two, he then dashed forward at a fast speed.

He used his nun-chucks to slam the one close to him on the face instantly breaking his skull, Sou then used sweeping kick to trip the examinees.

But they reacted fast and jumped away, Sou didnt stop his attack, using his weapon, it extended forward and stabbed the one who was late to jump away in the heart.

*Tuck!

Sou then let his weapon go and grabbed the spear of the last opponent and push it away forcing the other guy in close combat.

Sou then fought with him for a few minutes before Sou was able to win by sending a kick towards the other examinees chin knocking him out.

It was a short but intense battle that even the audience felt their blood boil from the battles, Madara who was watching even stood up when he saw how Sou won the match.

"Haha! good seedlings! the future is bright!" Hashirama laughed as he watched the match, even him who fought many battles felt his blood boil from this younglings fighting.

Tanaka didnt say anything and just glanced at the sinned weapons beside him, he smiled, 4 Sinned weapons had reacted, he knows where the 3 came from but the 4th was the most surprising one for Tanaka since, it was the Divine Axe Rhitta.

Take note that, Divine Axe Rhitta retained the prideful personality from the anime, it could be said, it was more prideful than Escanor but now, it seemed it was very excited, like it has seen a diamond in a pile of rocks.

Tanaka curiously looked around and found which one was the Divine Axe Rhitta reacting to, but he didnt bother with it for now since this guy is...

The test continued and the circle started to shrink, among 200 examinees, only 80 people were left and all of them had shown great talents.

Tanaka then looked at the livestream and saw he was raking money, audience were constantly giving gifts, sending their support to their favorite examinees.

The streaming account belonged to Tanaka so, hehe, Tanaka smiled, this nothing illegal, im doing things the right way.

All of this money will go to his personal account! even if Tanaka is the Ryukage and the guildmaster, and trading merchant president, all of the money goes to the development of the village, and his pay is also very low.

He added that rule for himself and the future leaders of the village, well, he was the first one to suffer that.

Anyway, Tanaka could see his future of being the first billionaire of the Shinobi world! who doesnt like money? definitely not him!

Just then he noticed the test is going to start its climax, all of the examinees would meet soon, Tanaka stopped his day dreaming and watched the examinees.

Sorry for being Dramatic haha, I just rewatched NGNL Zero when I wrote this so I kind of got influenced.
