Chapter 24
“Are we allowed to be here?”
“Sure.” Jack flashed a mischievous grin. “You’re allowed to be anywhere if you don’t get caught.”
“Willwe be caught?” Rob said dryly.
Jack snickered and started to walk towards the house. “Nah. There’s no one renting it out this week. I checked the realtor’s site.”
Rob tried to look inconspicuous as they climbed the steps to the back door and waited as Jack jimmied the lock and turned off the alarm with practiced ease. He followed through into the sleek marble kitchen, past the generic beach themed living room, and into a back sunroom with floor-to-ceiling windows and wide skylights. In the center of the room stood what looked like a squashed, octagonal pool table with a series of knobs bolted to the middle.
“What isthat?” he asked Jack with a frown.
