UNFOLDING SECRETS

We arrived at our new house. I was asleep during the whole journey but it felt like forever. When we finally arrived we started removing our boxes and staff from the car. It was so late. Every one was sleeping in the neighborhood. Mom told us to enter everything extremely quietly so as not to wake the neighbors . Our new house was much bigger than the previous one. It had a huge kitchen , four rooms and a library. We finished bringing everything inside. Miles and I started checking out the rooms cause we both wanted the biggest room. Miles ran upstairs and shouted,

"Stacy!" Come check this out. I ran upstairs and found him standing in the library. I told him that I already knew that it was there. Miles said," Am not showing you the library. Look at this he said that pointing at a small red button. I came closer and examined the button. I asked him," What do you think this is for. He said," I guess its for a secret door. As he was going to press it mom called us to come and eat dinner. I told Miles that we would come back again. He looked so curious but I insisted.

We went down stairs and found mom setting the table. I helped her with the plates while Miles washed his hands. We all sat down at the table . Before eating we first said a short prayer. Miles was so hungry, so he ate his food hurriedly. Mom started asking us if we liked this house. Miles said," This house is beautiful but how will dad find us here? Mom glared at me over her shoulder. "Stacy"!

"Oh, uhh , I guess this house is much better. I continued eating. Mom stared at Miles and said, "Miles!" Have you chosen your room already. Miles pointed upstairs and said, "I will use the room near the library. We ate the rest of the remaining food quietly. Mom told us to go to sleep. Miles kissed mom good night and went to his room. I put the the plates in the sink and started washing them. Mom looked so worried. She was wiping the plates when suddenly a plate fell from her hands. I stared at her. " Are you okay? Mom.

"Oh." Stacy am sorry. I'm so confused right now. I smiled at her said,"Mom you have been struggling up to now to raise us on your own. This is an opportunity for our family. You have always wanted this promotion mom. Don't worry about us now, we know that everything you do is for us. Mom hugged me and said," I wanted to hear this Stacy thank you. She kissed me good night and we both went to our rooms.

"Stacy!"Help me. Dad was asking for my help when some one shot him. I woke up crying from that terrible nightmare . It had been six years since dad had left us but I still had nightmares about him dying in my eyes. Mom came in my room looking worried she sat on my bed and said,"Baby are you having those nightmares again. Don't worry everything is gonna be alright. She hugged me and we both went downstairs for breakfast.

Mom had made frozen waffles ,passion juice and some cereal. We ate breakfast. The phone started ringing and I went to pick it."Hello is this Louisa Anderson". "Mom!" this call is for you. Mom spoke on the phone for a couple of minutes. Her new boss was calling her to go to work. She went to her room and changed her clothes. As she was opening the door she told me she would pass at our new school for registration.

Miles reminded me about the button we had seen in the library. We went to the library out of curiosity I pushed the button. There was a hidden room in the library it was so dark so we had to use my phone's touch to see. We entered the room. As we walked inside we found a small chimney. Miles told me that this was a secret passage which required a hidden password.

We tried all the possible passwords we knew but it wouldn't open. "I think I know the password". He said. He pushed something that looked like a brick . I couldn't believe what I was seeing . There was a secret passage inside the chimney. We entered and the passage lead us in a tunnel . We continued walking when we finally realised that it was an escape passage which lead you out of the building.

It was so cool but we had to return home. Miles was so happy about what we had discovered." I feel like am areal spy". He said. "Are we going to tell mom about this passage?" Only if necessary, "I replied. Mom came back late that day. She told us we would to school starting from Monday. She started preparing dinner and I helped her set the table. During dinner we discussed about our new school.

It was already Monday and mom had to drop us at school before going to work. I was wearing blue jeans , white and baby blue snickers with a white hoodie since it was so cold. We arrived at our new school. It was so big and beautiful. There were few students since most of the children who came here were either rich or their parents worked for the company which my my mom was working for.

Mom waved us good bye and told us to behave well at school. Mom always packs lunch for Miles since he is mamas boy. Little does she know that Miles hates it a lot cause I always tease him about being a baby. Miles ran to his classroom and I started walking in the hall way this school was so big that a person cold get lost. I entered the first room that I saw and lucky enough it was the right room.

" We have anew student in our class. " Miss Brown said."Can you please introduce young lady." She was staring at me with a fake smile on her face. I was shy since I was new and didn't know any one. "My name is Stacy Anderson, I hope I get along with you guys. Miss brown pointed at an empty chair behind and told me to seat there. We were studying history which was pretty much boring . The bell rang it was break time during break there was a guy staring at me.

I ignored him but he continued staring at me, the bell rang and as I was walking to my next class some one pumped into me leaving a note in my pocket. He was wearing a black hoddie so I didn't see his face. When I opened the note it said.......
