222 Their Future Together

Two Years later.... 

"Doctor, how is he?" Her parents rushed to the doctor as soon as he stepped out of the surgery room. Zoe followed after them, placing a comforting hand on her mother's shoulder. She was worried about her brother as well, but she had to be the strong one here.

For a moment there, her heart began to pound, thinking the doctor was about to share bad news when he suddenly smiled and announced, "The surgery was a success." 

Her mother sank to the floor in both relief and gratitude while Zoe released the breath that she had been holding in. Her father rubbed his palm down his face and blinked back the tears that stung his ears. It was good news, her brother's surgery was a success and it was all thanks to Gabriel.
