Someone appeared behind me all of a sudden. I quickly attempted to turn around but was met with a sword pierced through me from behind.

With a blink, the sword suddenly disappears and I am fine.

I turn around and see a middle-aged man. He is wearing a breastplate made out of dragon scales and wields a long sword. He has slightly long and messy brown hair, almost reaching his shoulder.

Wait no...elemental sword? I can see a faint red and blue at the edge of the blade...a double elemental sword...

"You are... Keldon? H-How? You are dead!"

"I am dead. The me you are seeing right now is nothing but a fraction of my remaining life force." Says Keldon.

"I will be honest. You are very persistent, aren't you?" Says Keldon. "I used ancient black magic on you but it backfired simply because of your mental willpower and desire for revenge."

"What?"

Keldon smirks. "Ever heard of the soul integration ritual?"

"You have my knowledge anyways so you should understand easily. I tried to invade your body and take it as my own. Basically, I tried to revive myself by using you as a sacrifice."

I stare at Keldon. The book described Keldon as a kind and helpful knight. But the current Keldon is more of a scheming and manipulating man.

"Do you hold a grudge against me?"

Keldon smirks again. "Good. I will get to the point. The current you are weak: your foundation is shit and you can only use nothing but brute force and sluggish techniques to defeat your enemies. That elf, Lorraine, why do you think she lost to you?"

Lorraine and I quickly hide in the bush behind us.

A group of people appears. One of them is the black butler beside Lorraine yesterday.

I appear from the bush. The group of butlers and maids immediately bow. "My apologies High Elf but it is very late and the minister of Judger-"

The butler is immediately interrupted by a maid behind. "You idiot, what if that man doesn't know about that."

"It's okay, I am her accomplice, tell me more about that and everything you know," I say.

"Ah! Yes sir, uh... So High Elf made a contract with Sir Kent Lops."

"He knows that, you idiot! Tell us what is happening in Judger and what is that fat fuck doing." Says Lorraine.

The maid gulps but the butler interferes. "Sir Kent Lops is going insane. He has a good reputation and does not want it to be ruined by you. That's why he is sending out every person to find you. I sneak into the back of the crowd with Lorraine. She's wearing a black mask and has changed into another outfit than the one she usually wore.

A horn was blown and a giant carriage enters the city. Riding on the horse is Carlos alone, waving vigorously at everyone.

Just for a slight moment, the curtain swayed from the carriage momentum and I could see a woman behind.

Wait that's...my sister!

That figure and that face. Without a doubt!

I follow the carriage to the tower. They park the carriage near a bar and Carlos brings my sister to the tower.

Ah, fuck! Get out of my way.

I squeeze my way to the front to get a closer look.

My sister's eyes...are...dead?

Carlos tells her something. She nods as she enters the tower.

After Carlos enters, everyone disperses.

I look at Lorraine.

Lorraine approaches the two guards at the front door of the tower.

Lorraine immediately plunges two daggers into each of their necks.

A figure rushes out of the smoke and punches the person nearest to the elevator.

That person collided with another behind and the second guard tries to shoot me.

I grab his gun in time and place the muzzle at his chin before firing.

His head explodes. The two other guards tried to recover and apprehend me. Their heads were met with a dagger.

"Bzzt To all personnel, an unidentified intruder has infiltrated the tower."

I take the walkie talkie off the corpse.

"Every personnel near the first floor will engage with the high elf, do not kill her, I repeat, do not kill her. For personnel on the fifth floor and above, kill a hooded intruder with a mask with no restriction; fire on sight. Do not let the intruder near the 15th floor."

I throw the walkie talkie.

Do they have a reason to not let me near the 15th floor? Why? Carlos should be more than enough to deal with an intruder...unless...

I take the rifle from the corpses and move forward.

Finally, I reach a double door and kick it open.

A woman sitting on a couch alone in the middle of the room. Her back is faced towards me.

I flew back towards the couch and was about to be flung through the wall before I take a dagger and plunge it into the ground to stop the momentum.

I spit out a pool of blood.

"Tch. Who is this weak brat?" Says Carlos.
