Chapter 40 : Plot Armor

Zephyros drew his sword, bent slightly to jump and lunged towards Satoshi. 

He jumped so fast that the ground caved in and Satoshi, instead of questioning the situation, turned around and started running with Rosie holding hands.

When he looked back he saw Zephyros getting closer and said,

"Holy shit! How did this thing know it was me?"

He grabbed his bag, took out the magic stones and shouted,

"If you want to get rich, gather around me!!"

Satoshi started throwing the magical stones on the ground, the crowd gathered in front of Zephyros to collect them.

Zephyros jumped over the crowd, Rosie's eyes lit up and his staff appeared in his hand. Then a wind spell blew Zephyros back through the air.

Satoshi said to Rosie, pointing to a tall building ahead,

"This maniac is after me, let's split up and meet at that building, and if one of us doesn't show up, we'll meet at the adventurers district"

Rosie nodded and said,

"Okay!"

They both scattered into the streets in opposite directions.

Rosie ran for a short while, then realized something and stopped. She said quietly to herself,

"Oh! I probably could beat him"

She said, shrugging her shoulders,

"Never mind."

Rosie returned to the festival grounds as if nothing had happened and began to enjoy the festival.

Meanwhile, Satoshi was running for his life, out of breath, running for minutes through the alleyways before he came to a dead end.

Zephyros' footsteps were getting closer and closer, he said in panic.

"Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.... What am I going to do?!"

At that moment a voice came from the garbage pile on the corner,

"Psst, over here!"

Satoshi didn't have much of a choice. He moved towards the voice and a man in a black cloak came out of the pile and said,

"Follow me if you want to live"

Satoshi thought inwardly,

'Isn't that the main character plot armor?'

Then he said, "Okay."

The man put the garbage can on the wall of a house, the wall of the house was about 2.5-3 meters long. The man stepped back, ran and jumped on the house with the support of the garbage can and said,

"Come on, it's your turn."

Satoshi looked at him disappointedly and said in a calm tone,

"If I could get up there, do you think I'd be here, desperately waiting for my end? Are you fucking stupid?"

Adam thought to himself, "He got a point there"

The man leaned over the corner of the roof of the house, put his hand down and said,

"Come on, hurry up, just hold my hand"

Satoshi unwillingly climbed on top of the garbage cans and started jumping, the man shouted angrily,

"Stupid bastard, come on use your strength, you're almost there."

Satoshi sighed and jumped with all his might. The man barely grabbed Satoshi's hand and, as if Satoshi weighed nothing, quickly pulled him up and threw him on top of the house.

Satoshi screamed as he was pulled up, 

"Hooooollyyy!"

Zephyros finally reached the dead end and saw Satoshi being pulled up.

He continued to move quickly after him,

On the other side of the building there was a soft mattress on the floor. Satoshi and the man jumped off that side and started running,

Satoshi continued to follow the man. The man gave Satoshi a fragrance bottle and said,

" Spray on"

Satoshi sprayed him and they resumed running. After several minutes of moving rondomly through the alleys, they entered a building.

Inside, there were two large mean-looking guys standing in front of a door.

Satoshi bent down and began to catch his breath and said, 

"God, I hate anything that requires physical effort!"

Satoshi was about to straighten up and thank the man when he felt a pain in the back of his neck and lost consciousness.

*Back to Zephyros*

Losing track of Satoshi's scent, Zephyros wandered the streets for hours and finally came to another dead end.

As he turned away, seemingly giving up, a voice came from a pile of garbage in the corner.

"Pssst, over here!"

Zephyros approached the trash pile and a man in a black cloak came out. The man said in a deep voice,

"Are you looking for a man with a hat, black eyes and no chin?"

Zephyros raised an eyebrow and asked,

"Who the fuck are you?"

The man dazedly said,

"Ehm... Mysterious sidekick?"

"Are you asking me what it is?"

"Maybe?"

"Are you fucking stupid?"

"Ehm... Maybe?"

Zephyros drew his sword and said,

"You're too suspicious, you're coming with me"

The man turned and tried to run away, but Zephyros was right behind him. He struck the man on the back of his neck with the hilt of his sword, knocked him out and took him away for interrogation...

*Back to Rosie*

There's not much to tell here. Rosie was walking around the festival grounds eating candy from the stands

*Back to Satoshi* *Two Hours Later*

Satoshi slowly began to open his eyes. When his vision cleared, he looked around, he was in a cell and to his right was an empty cell and to his left an old man was sleeping.

He looked at his clothes, underneath he was wearing a short white baggy outfit and on top he had nothing on. They had taken his bag, of course...

Outside, a bald, half-naked man with a scar on his eyebrow was talking to the man in the black cloak who had led him there:

"You told us he had money!"

"He was throwing gems around in the town square, how could I have known he'd thrown them all there?"

"And he's a northerner! We can't ask anyone for a ransom, so what do we do now?"

"As you said, he's northern, he's strong. We can auction him off as a slave and they'll buy him for labor.

"Look at him, he doesn't look strong at all, he's not even handsome enough to be sold to a noble lady."

With a depressed expression, Satoshi fell to his knees and looked up, tears on his cheeks...

They continued to their conversation...

Meanwhile, four men brought in a man with his hands and feet tied, locked him in the cell next to Satoshi, and started chatting among themselves.

"What a tough guy! He held up well on his own, even though four of us were outnumbered, to be honest, I'd say we were lucky to catch him.''

''That's right, he's going for good money!''

*Laughter*

…

The man in the cell crawled closer to Satoshi's cell and called out to him,

"I found you!''

Satoshi turned his head to look at the man and it was Zephyros the Ginger Cunt...
