A True Heros Courage

Koshiro slowly walked up to the doorstep of a small looking house. He raised his fist and knocked on the door with a bit of a nervous look on his face.

"Coming!" A voice was heard from behind the door by Koshiro.

The door began to open, revealing that it was none other than Saburo, the black haired kid in his class. Saburo looked at Koshiro a bit confused and annoyed. "What do you want exactly?" He questioned.

Koshiro looked at him a bit determinedly. "I want you to help me with my training.." he responded anxiously.

Saburo looked at him for a bit before closing the door right on his face.

The sudden movement made Koshiro stand there for a bit, looking at the door. He then looked down slightly before turning back and walking away. "I should've known he wouldn't have helped..he's like the top kid in our class when it comes to smarts, and strength. Him helping me wouldn't benefit him in anyway"

~flashback~

"Here..I'm not gonna be around forever so you need to learn how to take care of your damn self" Saburo said to Koshiro before throwing a bag of food at him.

Koshiro caught the food before looking down at his floor, ashamed.

They were both little kids and day after day, Koshiro would be waken up by Saburo by knocking on his door loudly for him to get to school. It suddenly stopped though, resulting in Koshiro being completely isolated from everyone now.

As a kid Koshiro would watch Saburo interact with the other kids, and he felt everyone praising  Saburo for his strength and skill that he had at a very early age. As school progressed to the beginning of middle school, people started praising him for much more, such as his looks. But as the praising grew for Saburo, the harsh bullying grew for Koshiro in return.

Koshiro would get his books knocked out of his hand, he would get teased in the middle of class by other students, and some days he would even get beaten up by some of the older kids.

During recess on one day, Koshiro stood there with a ball in his hand, isolated from everyone else. It suddenly started to rain as everyone was brought in by the teacher, except for Koshiro. "Y-you forgot about me.." Koshiro said with a saddened smile as the rain began to grow heavier, pouring down heavily onto his head.

As all of the other students walked away, Saburo looked back at Koshiro for a bit as their eye contact deepened. Only for Saburo to look down and slowly turn away. As the years went on, that isolation turned into something worse.

~present~

Koshiro was walking home in deep thought before he heard a sudden scream down the street where he previously came from.

Koshiros eyes filled with worry as he quickly turned around and saw this cyborg, harming citizens and demanding life energy.

"GIVE ME YOUR LIFE ENERGY WOMAN! I REFUSE TO ASK AGAIN!" The cyborg demanded in a loud tone as everyone of the other citizens stood their in enormous terror.

Koshiro felt frozen in his shoes as he watched the cyborg raise a hand towards the girl, when suddenly a knife formed out of their robotic hand. "C-come on Koshiro...now is the time!" He screamed in his head as his body flinched ever so slightly.

Koshiros deepened stared quickly went over to the girl, resulting in him seeing all of the terror that was behind her face. When he saw the girls face in that state, he had no control over what his body did.

As soon as the knife was about to impale the girl deeply, Koshiro sprinted up and grabbed onto the cyborgs arm. "S-STOP THIS!" He yelled in frustration but also fear.

When Koshiro did this, the other civilians and everyone stood their in complete shock in worry of the kid, but also of his bravery.

"G-go!" Koshiro ordered the lady that was about to get her, causing her to quickly snap out of her frozen state and move away as quickly as she could.

When Koshiro looked back at the cyborg, they had a sinister looking grin on their face, causing Koshiros eyes to develop fear inside of them more.

The cyborg swung their robotic arm in such a strong way that Koshiro flew to the other side of the street.

"A-agh!" Koshiro grunted in pain before slowly sitting up with a bleeding cut on his forehead. "W-what the hell is this thing? It's so strong..they didn't even swing their arm that hard and yet I got thrown like a rag doll!" Koshiro thought in disbelief before slowly standing up and clenching his fist.

The cyborg started paying attention to the civilians once again, and as Koshiro took a silent deep breath and stared at the cyborg, his eyes changed. "HEY ASSHOLE!! FIGHT ME!" Koshiro screamed as he sprinted towards the cyborg, causing the cyborg to smirk and sprint back towards him. "I need to save these people, if it's the last thing I do!" Koshiro thought loudly to himself as the cyborg sent a violent swing to Koshiros head, but he was quick enough to dodge it.

Koshiro jumped up and sent two flying kicks to the cyborgs chest, before landing on his hands and kicking the cyborg in the chin again. He had clenched teeth with a resolute face, along with bright blue eyes that sparked hope for the civilians.

"That's right get him!" One civilian yelled as more of them started to cheer and cheer. "Use your summoning powers!"

The cyborgs face went up from the kick to the chin, before it slowly looked down at Koshiro and smiled. "What? That did nothing at all?" Koshiro thought in disbelief as he frowned even more.

The cyborg grabbed Koshiros leg before lifting him up in the air and slamming him hard on the cracked, concrete street, over and over again until a crack could be heard from his ribs being slammed violently.

Koshiro started to bleed more from his head as his bright blue eyes started to fade and grow darker. The civilians hope that they once had began to vanish one after the other.

Koshiros vision grew blurry as he looked at the civilians with tears that started to flood his eyes. "No..this can't be it, is it? I haven't done a single thing good..I haven't saved anybody!" Koshiro yelled loudly in his head as he reached his hands out to the terrified civilians.

"Now back to what I was saying..My job was never to kill you kid, actually I was given direct orders not to kill you. If I go back now I'll only be killed so there's no need in carrying out my orders anymore. Instead of taking your life energy I'll just kill every single one of you right now by draining you completely of your life energy." The cyborg said with a wicked smile as his footsteps grew closer and closer to the civilians.

The civilians finally started to sprint away in agonizing fear. "If you try to run I'll blow up every single house here, all of your children and family will be dead!!" The cyborg screamed as everyone stood still and looked back at it.

"KOSHIRO GET UP!!!" Koshiro screamed thunderously in his head as he started coughing up blood and gasping heavily for air on the ground.

The civilians didn't know what to do, all they could do was sit their and hug their loved ones while crying.

An energy blast started to form in the cyborgs hand as he smiled an sinister smile. "Say bye bye."

Sliding was heard from behind the cyborg so he slowly stopped the energy blast and turned around, with an annoyed and shocked face.

"I-I w-wont let you.." Koshiro said as he desperately crawled to get to the cyborg. His hair was swaying around and his teeth was bloodied up from coughing up blood.

The civilians all looked at Koshiro with worried and shocked faces as well, same for the cyborg. "How are you still alive..?" The cyborg questioned.

"Y-you hear me?" Koshiro said as he grabbed onto the cyborgs foot, and looked up at the cyborg, gasping heavily for air.

And when the cyborg looked directly into Koshiros bright blue eyes, he began to feel even more shocked and intimidated. "Whatever..." the cyborg turned around and paid its attention to the civilians.

"Run everybody..RUN NOW!" Koshiro screamed demandingly yet protectively as he quickly yet difficultly got up and jumped in front of the cyborg, charging directly in front of the cyborg and tackling it.

"You think that's gonna work? I'll just blast you right here and right now! Your predicting skills are different than most! Sadly you're gonna die right here!" The cyborg screamed before kicking Koshiro in the stomach and knocking him back.

"I-if I die right here...I'll die a hero and I'll risk my life to buy everyone enough time..just until someone else shows up and takes this guy down..come on Koshiro!" Koshiro yelled in his head as he looked at the cyborg, who was beginning to form the energy blast again.

"COME ON!!" Koshiro screamed as the civilians continued to sprint away. He lifted his arms up as if he was protecting everything and everyone behind him.

"You're digging your own grave, kid." The cyborg spoke quietly before shooting his energy blast directly at Koshiro.

Some of the street started breaking off and some of the buildings around started to break and fall down as well, causing Koshiro to quickly realize it.

Some of Koshiros skin started to peel off from the amount of power in the energy blast as he struggled to move his hands in front and try to push against it. "AHHHH!!!"' Koshiro screamed with violently clenched teeth as his hair and clothes blew back from the amount of energy he was taking, head on.
