The Hero Dies

"In the realm of typical Transmigration/Isekai story, Kafka wakes up to an inexplicable reality—he has somehow become a part of the novel that he red the night before. However, he isn't the protagonist or a formidable hero; instead, he embodies the role of a mere third-rate villain with the ability to transform into a Werewolf. Things take a dire turn when, within the opening chapter, Kafka inadvertently causes the demise of the story's Main Character—a being with the extraordinary power to morph into a fearsome Dragon. Now faced with an unforeseen responsibility, Kafka grapples with the daunting task of safeguarding humanity in a world without its hero. As Kafka navigates this unfamiliar terrain, he must confront not only the challenges of his newfound identity but also the repercussions of altering the story's course. Will he rise above the limitations of his villainous role and find a way to defend humanity without the expected hero by his side?, but with only his system?" A Test of Will

"That is all... Now it's time to decide the order of your rankings!"

Then all of a sudden I felt the cold water beneath my waist, it was still, but something about its stillness made it feel ominous. Then as I looked above everything had turned into white–'could I have gotten teleported?, but this doesn't make any sense, all of the first year students are still here, am I just seeing things?'–then as to confirm my suspicions, I looked around everywhere; with my classmates already morphed into their beast forms.–'it seems like they too were sensing the dangers that lurked beneath'

The slight ripples then alerted me, shadows began emerging, moving about. And now despite the stillness, there was a clear killing intent, it exuded an aura of savagery—Imagery of me being torn apart limb from limb, mauling me from all directions, yet despite that, there was an escape.–'I needed to get to the high ground fast, and that's what everyone else around me felt; Even my instincts were screaming the same thing'–Soon they began to start running, but somehow, because I already experienced this, it felt as if it was a trap. So I decided to stand my ground.

.....

[Then came a familiar voice from a stadium.]

Leonor: "Well done to all of you, those who just stood in fear and wasn't able to do anything; Class F!, those who decided to follow their instincts and run, but have been subdued by my assistants; Class E!, those who ran but was able to put up a fight up until I removed my Illusory domain; Class D!, and finally those who decided to stand their ground and fight; Class A!."

'How could I have forgotten about this?, is the threat of the illusory domain in this world strong enough to block out my memories?. Because in that moment, all I could think of was to fight or flee, I wasn't able to think straight and even now it was only coming back to me that—That was all fake.

[This time there was a slight silent pause again, however that was quickly broken, by the fledglings pride, who couldn't accept the result of the entrance ceremony, especially those who came from the nobility of this territory.]

.....

"Heh?... What the heck was that?"

"That's all?"

"What kind of entrance exam is this?!"

"This is unfair!!!"

"Yeah!!!; That's unfair!!!."

"Yeah!! Yeah!!! Yeah!!!! "

"Yeah!! Yeah!!! Unfair!!!! Yeah!! "

"I bet this must because, you're from that territory!!!."

"Yeah!! Yeah!!! Yeah!!!! Yeah!! Unfair!!! Yeah!!!!

"Goddamn!! WETLAND RACES!!!"

"Yeah!! Unfair!!! Yeah!!!! Yeah!! Yeah!!! Yeah!!!! YEAH!!!!

Leonor: "SHUT UP!!!! YOU GREENHORNS!!!!"

[The roar reverberated through the room, the shout was so loud, that despite every student in the room chanting with voices raised to their utmost limits, it was still able to overpower everyone, and they were all rendered speechless.]

Leonor: "Listen well you numb skulls, I'm going to just explain this once; So you better listen well!!... Or else be prepared for hell..."

[An air of absolute authority emanated from him as he confronted their nonsense. But this time with a noticeable shift from his mood, that had now turned sour; permeated the room. Everyone felt the seriousness of his threat, and that if they should ever try and do this again–there will be consequences.]

Leonor: "This assessment was meant to test how well you're able to differentiate actual threats from fake ones. So make sure to remember this well; at the end of the day a part of you is still human, don't just blindly follow your instincts, make sure to use that intelligence of yours, and I forgot to tell you this earlier, but since we're still partly human, there are still rules when it comes to climbing at the top of this academe, anyone who's caught breaking this rules will get punished, and at worse will face expulsion."

Leonor: "That is all, you're all dismissed!!, make sure to go to your respective classroom."

.....

As I sat down inside my designated classroom, it felt comfortable to know that almost all the important side characters in the classroom arc in the novel was here. Not much had change from the original story line, so my knowledge of the novel is still useful, although I did get lost trying to find my way into this class–'Goddamn novel!, not explaining the routes to the classes, Sigh... I guess if I was the author, I too wouldn't add each and every details explaining the routes to every classrooms, unless it is important to the plot'—

"Come to think of it, I wonder who will be our adviser?"

"Like hell!!, I would know dude"

"I bet they must be one of the people with a dragon inner beast, that must be it or else there is no other way, since we're Class A!"

"Yeah yeah, keep on dreaming dude, I bet will just be a random old man"

"So how were you able to tell that it was just a test?"

Brian: "No, I wasn't able to tell that; That was a test HAHAHA"

"Then dude why did you stand ground? hahaha"

Brian: "I was just itching for a good fight HAHAHA"

"That was pretty lucky dude HAHAHAHA"

Brian: "I guess so?"

HAHAhaha

Hahaha

[Then all of a sudden a red haired, muscular woman entered the room, the strong clap as she walked and opened the door gathered everyone's attention, especially since she was holding such thick and voluptuous books in between the crevices of her arms. The thick volumes immediately caught the attention of all the boys, since it might be that within those pages there are important information, that is integral to the development of their inner beasts.]

[The books seemed to have matured with age, with the covers revealing glimpses of the pages within. Yet despite their age, the playful teasing of disclosing essential information made them all the more intriguing and attention-grabbing. It was as if the books held secrets waiting to be unraveled, their allure enhanced by the tantalizing dance between revelation and concealment.]

[She then placed the books at the table, and introduced herself–]

Plap! Plap!!

"Good afternoon, my name is Clawdia, and I will be the professor managing your class directly from now on."

"Now, why don't we begin this class by introducing yourselves?."
