Under Their Laws (Draft)

Since October twelfth... The day I attempted to commit suicide... My life has been thrown into a chaotic storm, worse than the raging voices in my head, to the point I now stood in the court room, meatal bracelets securing my wrists and powers, in front of thousands. For a crime, I didn't commit...

October Twenty first, Twenty forty-six; Yellowstone Hospital, 8:31 am

"You are under arrest. Anything you say, can and will be held against you in the court of law."

Before I could muster a word, the cuffs were latched over my wrists, anchoring my arms to my lap, where I still sat back straight on the medical bed.

"Stand."

And, when ask to stand, instead of resisting, I lower my head, I remove my legs from under the cover, stepping onto the floor, cold, draining the will out of me, following along their whims.

Outside the door, once the two officers properly secured me, feet rapidly tap in the hallway, stopping the moment I look to the door, concern of what made the noise.

There, in pacing breath, Ella eyes every one of us in the room, then, locking onto Detective Wayne, she marches to him, lifting him from the ground by the collar as she done to me before.

"Wayne! What the hell is wrong with you?" She speaks to him in anger, holding a tone of voice that you would use to a friend that betrayed your trust.

The officers that held me, let go, beginning to aid the detective.

"Stand down. This is just how she express herself." He calmly informs them that he needed no assistant. Next, taking Ella's hand off of his shirt. "Isn't that right Ella."

The air grew thicker, no one mentioning a word of the situation, watching, unsure how it would spiral.

"H-hey, Wayne, she's also a victim, take it easy on her." Wayne's collogue, Lee, was the one to break that quietness, stepping to his boss, grabbing his shoulder.

Looking at Ella, as well back at his comrade, he fixes his look back to the charming smile he had when integrating me. "I am aware. She's always helpful. The number one hero of the Yellowstone."

Everything that he spewed about her; I couldn't help but gain this feeling that they were once acquaintances.

"After all I told you, why is he in handcuffs?" Ella clenches her hand, wanting answers, adding more spite to her words than anger.

"My father, it's my job. A huge list of reasons really." He walks pass Ella, who glares at him, to where I stand, placing his hand on the top of my head, adding a friendlier tone in his voice, even though he probably didn't care of my situation at all. "Besides, I want to know a few things about what Zenith experienced."

"So, you think taking him to court, in front of your father, will shed some light on these recent cases?" Ella stood facing forward, not budging from her spot, remaining strangely calm.

"Obviously someone wants to cover up what happened at H.L.A. We need someone to blame, otherwise, no one will believe me." Wayne still kept his composer, carrying the smirk from before.

"If that's the case, blame me instead." She faces him, hand on her chest, staring directly into his eyes.

Wayne only cracks a laugh at her statement, shaking his head, "No can do. Zenith and his older brother blood perfectly matches each other, enough to frame him for the murder."

He knows that it was Zel? - One of the officers behind me lets go of my arm.

"S-Sir, that is a crime! I can't allow you to frame this child for murder." He speaks out, eyes widening.

Wayne just stares off at the officer's outburst, looking him down from head to toe. "I would advise you to keep to yourself, there are plenty of people who can fill your shoes."

The officer clacks his tongue, stepping down, understanding Wayne's threat.

"That goes for you as well Lee." He eyes his partner.

"R-Right!" Lee answers him, but nose to the floor, pretending not to see or hear a thing.

"You must be very confident, telling me all these things..." Ella remains in a calm state.

"Of course. Because I know that you partly agree to my logic. The more answers we have, the closer we would come to putting the actual cooperate away, even if it is a district leader." Wayne then eyes me, who did nothing but listening to there on going conversation. "Not only that, once we do come to the conclusion of this investigation, he'll be release for false accusation."

Getting a grasp on everything he was saying, I could see where Wayne went with this. In fact, I'm sure everyone minds opened in this room. If I am thrown in prison, the school scandal would be brought to light, eventually leading to news feed, and the raise of investigators against the district leaders. If I am blamed, they could eventually find Juna. -

"Can you secure those words?" I finally spoke out, raising my head from those deepen thoughts.

Wayne lets out another grin. "Certainly. My intuition is always spot on after all." He then shoots up three fingers. "Three months should be enough. By then, I will have Vile, Juna, and that other student, that Meniko girl."

I was right... Juna...

"No." Ella gazes at both of us. "I'm not allowing it."

I spring my body forward, cuffs on my chest. "But Juna, she'll be-

"Do you even know what you're agreeing to?" She shouts back at me, closing her fist even tighter. "Your life, Grandma thoughts on you, your title as a hero, it would all be discriminated! They would see you not as a Hero, but as a killer!" Tears began to well up insider her. "Even if you're falsely accused, people will still talk! People will still judge you for your past! Don't throw your future away for Juna!"

What is she saying... "As if my tittle isn't already tarnish..."
