He Who Dreams of Paradise

Holding tightly to his sister, Myune's hair circles in waves, dancing by the whipping speed of the up-drafting air and rapid pouring rain. My feet hovers off the ground, plunging strings of shadows deep into the ground, fighting against the typhoon of his own creation.

Vile, he stomps his boots into the mud, but in vain, being eaten by the cyclone that spread further. I witness Abrie's unconscious body as well as Ella's, pick up off the ground, pull right after him.

The rushing winds muffle's my screams, the sound of rain blocks my hearing and blinds me from the rest of the events that took place, birthing more strings, covering myself in armor of shadows. My body rocks side to side, feeling the strength and push back of Myune's storm in full force. Those who were outside the shield I created... I can't help but to picture them dead. Bodies lying across the mud and Myune in the center. -

The pulls and push backs, alongside the fleeting rain, stops.

".... What an unpredictable outcome..." -

I break the armor that surrounded me, shown a scenery of a circle indented in the mud around us, Vile on top of Nako's body amid the rubble, Ella back crush on a ship near the bay, Phi on the building behind me, and Myune. Myune stood in the middle of it all, Juna remaining sleep in his arms, his eyes consume in pity and disbelief.

"I expected Vile or Ella to oppose me..." Myune sights the sun, sky clear as day. "Or even that girl you brought along with you..." He then lays Juna on the dirt beside him, standing back straight up, lifting his hand to my head level. "But how ironic...-

Air slams into my chest in high pressure, shooting me to the nearly destroyed building in the background, finally giving out and crashing in on top of me. Pulling me away from underneath the rubble by the device around my neck, Myune hair falls on the side of my face, making a shadow that darkens his dead fish eyes.

"I have to face the son of the man who doomed us." He lets out a small chuckle to himself next, throwing me back to the rubble. "Hell. Zel would have been better than this. At least I would have had the chance to die." He mocks.

Taking a glance at my face, letting silence pass us for only a second, he tilts his head at me repositioning his hand, ready to fire another blow at me. - In the moment of fear of my death, I wave out my entire body, using the thin lines of shadows to unlevel his arm. I watch whatever the powers he uses, splatter mud on my face, impacting the ground near my head.

Myune quickly retaliates my behavior, grabbing hold of my face and teleporting. - We were now feet above the ground. My body dangling in his grasp. Myune stares off in a different direction. The sun.

"You know..." His hand loosens, so I grab onto his wrist. "If I'm going to lose myself in all of this… You have to fight harder, Zen." He begins to lower his arm in a slow pace, watching my hold slip off. "The peace I wish for can't be reach as long as I remember all of this. Once I kill you, then next, the rest, I plan to escape it all, Juna on my side. We will-

My grip finally gives in, detaching from Myune, plunging in the air.

"Live in paradise...!"

The ground wasn't that far from where I fell, though my arms swayed and swung out for another to catch me, seeing Myune grow smaller and smaller. Flashbacks of our childhood together, him being the third I considered my brother, cause shadows to slow down my fall, tears flying up in bubbles.

I don't want to die like this, nor do I actually want to kill Myune. I hate how he became. I hate to see him like this. -

*We all died that day... Our dreams, our hope. *

You're still here. I'm still here. All of us, including Zel, we're all alive. So, don't you see? -

*Because the day Myune died, Iota was able to live. *

"Myune!!!" I shriek to the top of my lungs, reaching my hands out further to him. "I don't believe that crap about you being dead!! You're right here before me!! You!!- More shadows formed around me, slowing the fall down. - Juna!! Zel!! Vile!! Ella!!- I slap my hand on my chest. - Including me!! We're still alive!!" -

Nearly hitting the ground on the last part, I open my eyes to Myune holding me up by the cloth of my shirt, gaping deeply into my eyes. -

"Shut the hell up!!' He screams out at me, hair spreading tears dripping down his face and spit flinging from his mouth. "What the hell do you know!?" He drops to his knees on top of me, letting go of my shirt in the process. "What... Do you know? I gave up everything... Just for one man to die. Thinking that I would be free if I follow along your father's ruling. - Myune slams both his hands into mud, planking himself above me, continuing to cry. - But Juna got hurt, I couldn't keep pretending to not see Zel in pain. And you... You continue to resist Milo."

Myune lifts himself off of me, looking to the sky above as he always did, listening to the chirping of birds and the sea waving, touching the docks bay.

"And I... And I started to want nothing more but to silence these ongoing thoughts. Run from the guilt I felt. Zen... I want to be free. I want true freedom. Is that too much to ask for?"

Myune looks to me in a cold gaze, hoping that I would answer, but knew too well that I couldn't process all that he dumps onto me.

"Never mind..." He gets up off of me. "It doesn't matter anymore. I'm almost close.... Close to forgetting it all. Close to a form of freedom."

Forget it all... He keeps speaking of that. "Myune...-

"Don't even bother asking." He stands to walk away from me, grabbing for Juna again. "There isn't enough time for me to explain." Her being in his arms, Myune faces me. "Also... Go on and live. But know, Milo will continue to haunt you down, and eventually we will all die because of it. My only advice is to either turn yourself in or...." His pupils fall to the ground. "Kill yourself." -

Myune then vanishes in thin air, leaving behind two defeated heroes and those who he called his allies. Everything around us was tatter and destroyed. Juna, who was in my reach was taking as well.

I remain on the ground, processing my defeat in blank stares. In shock. I wondered, where did Myune go, leaving us in all this destruction?
