Demons That Haunt Us

His brown, chestnut colored hair fell to his back, left eye blue, right eye glowing red, both gapping at me. Myune's passive smile was no longer there, replace with a sadden, heatless outlook.

"Myune...?!" He seems cold, far from anyone's reach. Taking my shock as something he expected or rehearsed many times.

"I have to say... It wasn't in my plan for you to actually survive this long... To see my face." He acknowledges, freezing all the chaos as quick as he caused it.

I drop to my knees, trying hard to take it all in. "You died... You died that day!" I shout at him, not wanting to believe that all this time he played on the enemy team.

"You're not wrong..." Iota vanishes again, reemerging to the glass with Juna's body in it. "We all died that day... Our dreams, our hope. Father took it all away..."

"Father?"-

I look up at him confused, slowly putting it all together. The name they would all mention, Father... He was also the one to kill us that night? If what he says is true, then-

"What? Did it just now hit you?" Myune places his hand on the glass, only glancing at me instead of facing me completely. "The one who is behind it all, our true leader, isn't me or Zel. It's your father, Milo."

Everything around felt to be put to stasis, mind blanking by just the thought of what he was being true. My dad... Father... Zel... Myune... It all couldn't be possible right? -

I picture Zel running into dad that night, flames bighting and clashing with the rain... Myune, struggling, buried under bricks. Authorities noted that Zel and Father's body were burnt away in ashes, however, in those moment, no one ever cindered... No one ever spoke about the where abouts of Myune corpse.

The chain wrap around me drags me further to a chair. "Please, have a seat." He then eyes Meniko, who cried in silent despair. "You as well, Hatsumi."

Feet falling behind, Meniko slouches over to the chair on command, trembling constantly. She was here longer than me, I wonder what hell Myune put her through.

"This don't make any sense..." I refuse to sit in the chair, pulling my arm back from the mysterious chains. Though, they still remain cuff around me. "Why? Why do all of this? You said it yourself; Milo ruined our lives! So, why are you working on his side."

"Hatarei." He calls out a name unfamiliar to me.

On que of his command, a girl, hair blond with a streak of pink going down the middle of her face, as well as nails painted the same bright pink as her hair, wore pricings on her left ear, eye liner, red sweater and a strange mask that cover only her mouth, in the shape of a skull, steps out of the shadow, near the chair Vile sat in. Hatarei... This was the girl who held me in her chains.

"Come on, come on. Just sit, Iota only wants to talk." Her finger rest on her mask, giving me a pep talk like a cheerleader would at a rally, tightening the chain on my arm.

"O-Okay! I'll take a seat..."

I pulled the chair from away from under the table, taking a seat, like told. Myune then snaps his finger. Vile's body transition to the seat next to me on the snap, and Iota takes that chair he was in, facing me from afar.

Myune he was quiet, not mention a word after telling us to seat down. He looks to be waiting on something. - And exactly as I thought, he glances to the side, eyeing Chi's arrival. In his arms, where two sacks, one place near Vile, the other beside Meniko. Next, Chi walks to stand beside his sister.

"Perfect," Myune snaps his fingers once again. "All of us are here."

Those two in the sack was revealed to be Ella, mouth tape and hands tied like Meniko was earlier, and Zel, slumping over empty eyed, chain to a chair. Hatarei's chain.

"Mhm! Mhmm!!" Ella, cries, looking over to Myune in shock. She wanted to say something on it all but couldn't.

"Right, I almost forgot," He removes the tape from around Ella's mouth. "Wake up Vile-

"Myune!! You son of a bitch!! What are you... Why are you..." Ella, who injuries were no longer sever, shouts out the first thing that came to mind, more flabbergasted than I was when laying my eyes on him.

"Heh..." Myune, thinking that he couldn't any longer, let out a laugh at her words. "Now, I wonder how Vile's going to react."

Chi raises an injection from his hand, putting the needle to Viles shoulder.

"What is that?!" Ella shakes the chair she was in, shouting at Chi. "Get that crap away from him!"

I watch as Chi pours the full injection inside him. Vile's eyes widen, darting around the entire room. Going from me to Meniko, then Zel, skipping over Ella to Myune.

"Where... H-How... How are you- I... M... Myune? Eh...-

"Yeah... Mister Serious... In the flesh." Myune smile couldn't be less colorful, facing us all. Using Vile words to prove his recollection on him.

"No... It can't be..." Ella head falls, thrown into conception.

"I don't understand... Why is it that you all continue to deny my existents. To fade me in your memory... Has it ever once bother any of you? Where did Myune go? What happen to that hero who saved countless lives? Who rose to the top ranks under months." Myune's red eyeball gleams again, shutting the doors. "But apparently, out of millions, no one once question his disappearance. That's beneath me now, however. I forgave everything, knowing that I had no right to judge. Because the day Myune died, Iota was able to live..."

The room began to feel cold, steam coming out all our mouths in the pattering of our breathing. My fingers also fall numb, Meniko wrapping her arms around her body in silence.

"Though Myune might have died..." He continues on, ignoring the chills we all felt. "The memories of the past, the longing to see all your faces again, to reunite, still linger in my heart." He then tilts his head up, leaning the chair back while cupping his hand. "I never attended for any of this to happen. Zel being brain wash, him killing Juna. As well as carrying out all Milo's dirty work... Don't get me wrong, I respect him dearly-

"Myune! What the hell are you talking about!" Vile rattle his chair, cutting him off, eyes sparking in hate. "I never once... Never... Forgot about you. And this Myune died crap... What the hell man, you're right here!"

Myune, shallow as he can be tilts his attention to Vile. "How long has it been?" He randomly asks him. "Eight... Maybe nine years... Yet, you still act so irrational. You're much older than me, why can you not understand what I'm saying? Physically, I'm Myune, but in heart, his goals, his reason for living is all dead."

"If that's true," I glare directly at him and no other. "Why have this conversation with us? Why go out of your way to bring us all here?"

Slowly raising up his hands, charming me a smile, he spoke, "Simple." flowing the cold air inside quicker. "I want us to all die... It's the only way to save the world, to stop Milo's plan."

Is he insane? Kill us?

"If we live, specifically, Zen, then he will take your vessel to walk again. With the powers to manipulate one's mind, he would be free to walk the earth as a dictator. Sorry, let me say it the way he did; As our teacher."

...Tau... I'm sure he mentioned something like that before. About me being the vessel. I thought that was just nonsense. How would someone-

"How would he do it?" Ella somehow shot what I was thinking, calmer than the rest of us, despite her break down earlier.

"Take over his vessel? With him."

Coming from behind the girl named Hatarei, a small child, baby blue doll eyes, wrist are chain together, staring to the floor quietly.

"If what you are thinking is to kill the child... I reject... You see, not every Sigma Flames are on one accord. I'm not a monster who kills without hesitation."

He says, but I witnessed him splatter Nako's head on the wall-? - When looking over to the spot Nako was killed at, her body no longer touch the floor. Infact, she was nowhere to be seen.

"So, it all comes down to the kid or us..." Vile restates his words to understand the situation better.

"Yes, that's the idea. However, we all think in a heroic mind set. Our lives before his. Am I right, Ella?"

Her head goes back down.

"Okay, we die. What's stopping them from getting their hands on the boy and choosing a different vessel?"

"Hmf." Myune chuckles. "I was told it had to be someone with his blood. If anything, all fell, he would try to go for Zel. But I'm sure he wants the ability to transport, not burn buildings. Now that I'm thinking of it more clearly, there is a third option."

Snapping his fingers, the cold stops. No longer growing worst.

"If we can get rid of this boy's powers... We could all live happily ever-

A loud bang was made, bullet shooting right through Iota's head.

"After."

Body falling over out the chair, Nako, in the form of the black hair girl was revealed. She was the one to kill Iota in cold blood.

Zel wake at the sound. The chains Hatarei made was released from us all, charging towards Nako in anger and tears. Chi vanishes, holding a disappointed look. Vile, free from the chains as well, jumps up, unsettle by Myune's sudden death. Ella ducks her head, teeth clench at hearing the gunshot. I, watch all our answers, hit the table in slow motion, shutting his eyes during the process, breathless.

Why... Nako... Why did she... Even though we were close to some answers.

"You stupid slut!!" Hatarei shoots the chain at Nako, missing drastically.

Nako, dodging it, grabs hold to it, pulling her forward by it, pointing the gun directly at the middle of her skull. - The trigger was pull, but once again fail to kill. Striking at the correct moment, Chi reappears, hand on his sister's shoulder, making her transparent.

Immediately choosing a side, Ella no longer trembling from the gunshot, she takes to action, zipping from her seat, sparking lightning, turning Chi solid, and slamming Hatarei to the wall, knocking her out cold. She then shifts her elbow to Nako, jabbing her in her chin, knocking her clean out.

Ella... She easily takes down both villains and vigilantly, under seconds, without any casualties or delay, as I stood here, useless, again.

"Ella-

I try jumping into action, join forces alongside Ella, but Vile stops me in my steps, hand on my chest.

"Stay back." He demands. "We got this."

I was outcast again... Watching Vile dash off with the leg of the chair in his claws, powering it up in a beam of purple, swinging it at Chi neck. Though it goes right through him again, seeming ghost like. Then, reflecting on the swing, Chi slams his fist into Vile's stomach, making him cough out drips of blood.

"Vile!!" Ella calls out his name, facing him too late, getting her arm grab, then snapped.

Even though, Ella fights through the pain, throwing another electrified punch to him, turning him solid once more, making connection to the palm of his hand, that shielded his face.

"Looks like... You caught on. Too bad you're too late."

Chains go straight through her left leg as well as her stomach, damaging it all. Hatarei, pant like a dog in heat, eyes roll back, face veins pumping.

"High..." Her voice creeps out, falling to the floor, having more chains slitter out from her back. "Get me higher!!"

The chains cut pass both me and Chi's face, opening a wound on mines, clamping the walls. She then pulls down her mask to her chin.

"Come on Nakuro! I want it- I want it now! Heh, heh... Give me my reward!"

Nakuro place a knee to the ground, putting his fingertips on his sister chin. "If you kill them all... I have a basket full of this stuff waiting for you at the base." He slides a pill in his hand, slipping it into her mouth.

The chains crack deeper into the metal walls, quaking the entire room. The lights busted, putting the room in darkness, and the chairs fell into the flooring, most falling back. I couldn't tell if Chi was still here are not, trying to find my way through the chaos. Then, hearing the walls crumble down, I did what I could as a last resort.

Though the strain on me will be dramatic, I create a huge portal to swallow us all, bringing us back to the surface, where the docks remain.

Brain fuzzing the images in front of me, I slowly get back up, nearly falling back over, off balance. And what woke me completely, was Myune, wound healed in his head, alive as he can be, gazing at me coldly.
