Demons Dine at Moonlight

October 5, 2037:

Pattering down the base bored of the roof hanging over the back of my head, rain showers over me, chest resting on a tree that stops me from falling face into my father...

My younger brother... He cries in another arms. I can hear it so vividly, Zenith calling for me, for mom, for dad....

"Is this what you wanted... Dad...." -A drop, slides down my nose, falling to my father's bottom lip, the man gaping at me, silence by death. "He has no one... You killed us all..."

My throat... It burns, tasting charcoal, fire crackling down the building. I started these fires... All to ensure the survival of the rest of them... Myune, Vile, Ella... Zenith, Juna...

-The storm grows heavier, fires turning to smoke. Amid the pain in my throat, sound of sirens closing into the area, the demon who destroyed my very reality, his chest heaves...

He's as alive as I am...

October 20th, 2046; Present (Zenith's perspective):

Stepping to the grass first, a child, hair a messy bush of black. A man next to that kid, shirtless, rocking nothing but a crafted hand bracelet and jeans. He looks like a movie star I once seen on T.V.

-To the left of him, is a man wearing a deformed type of dragon mask, illuminating this eerie feeling, one large eye, beading red for his left. I saw him before...

-Being the last to step out the breach that suddenly closes behind them, a figure of a female, taller than the kid but about the same height as Ella. Their hair sways, a striking resemblance to Juna's hair when she wears her costume. A hologram of a flashing X covers her entire face, screen glitching in scrambles.

-"This should be the place..." Their voice can't be identified either, sounding both a mix of female and male, static buzzing when they speak.

Who... -"Who the hell are you!" Ella, holding her arm, more exhausted than the rest of us, she pushes herself off the ground, nearly tumbling over, her voice lauder than mines.

Vile gets up, grabbing a rock right next to him, eyes turning bright purple, cranking back his hand, -The man vanishes under a second, reappearing near Vile face to face, eating him whole with that one red eyes of his. -He puts his hand on Vile's right shoulder. -His arm is torn right off, exploding into gush of blood, shattered bones falling into a pile of mush.

-Holy shit!

-"Vile!!" -Ella bolts up, leaving no chance to fall behind, going for the mask,

-"Mu..." Once that one word breaks out of his mouth, shadows latch on to Ella. She fires her eyes to me, even though I wasn't the one to do it. This... Wasn't me...

-Clocking my head back to where they step out of the portal, the figure in the blinking X mask, holds their hand to stomach length, barley moving a muscle.

-They have the same ability as me...! -My eyes gleam purple, rushing to the figure without a second thought, Vile's body dropping to the mask man's arms, falling unconscious.

-My eyes stop glowing, shadows that covered my entire left side in rage like myself turning to thin dust. The girl holds her hand out further, being the reason why they dispersed.

-The mask man vanishes again, reappearing back in the same spot as earlier, Vile hauled over his shoulder bleeding out and Zel, my brother broken down, dragged on his left. -I didn't even see the man come near me, so how did he...

-"What a shame..." The one with the X mask mutters to themself, turning their back to me and Ella, reopening the feathered like portal. "Next time... It's a date."

They step through leaving to wherever the other side lead.

-"Gamma, Tau..." The mask man turns his back next, stepping towards the portal.

"Hell, I was wondering when you'll call for us!" The guy walking around shirtless, laughs out, stepping further away from the portal.

-"Can we kill them! Can we kill them!" The child in a wide smile, looks to the man in a mask.

"Don't overdo it... Keep them busy for a little." Before completely stepping through the portal, he glances at Ella, then at me. "I'll come back for the both of you... Soon..."

-The portal swallows him and Vile whole, leaving no trace behind, a single feather touching the ground, bursting to particles. The one he called Gamma and Tau is left in front of us.

-"Big bro, big bro! Did you hear? We can kill them!" The child jumps for joy, Ella flinching at the sight.

The shirtless man stops his brother cheering, plumping his hand on top of his head. "Relax Gamma. He didn't say kill them, he said don't overdo it. Whatever that's supposed to mean..." His jaw slightly drops, taking his hand off of the boy he called Gamma, spotting something he finds interesting. "Now, aren't she a stunning devil."

I follow his eyes. He looks at Ella with that admiration.

-Teeth grit, she sparks a coat of electricity, dashing to the man, somehow continuing to have more stamina than me.

-In a zip flash, her fist contacts the man bare chest, -But he doesn't budge. To him, to all of us, the blow look like a light slap on an arm, the coat of energy dying off to nothing, Ella eyes no longer drowned in a gleam of yellow.

- He takes her wrist, yanking her arm high-up near his head, using his other hand to grab hold of her chin, prying it up to his lips in a smirk.

"Stubborn and cute... You know," He leans in closer to her, wanting to give her lips a prick, but resist to go through. "They're exactly my type."

-I step up, only to have a leap over to me, cracking the ground knocking me to my back, as he stared down at me, squatting.

"Big bro's playing right now, I can't let you butt in..." -This kid, he's insane...

-I bat my eyes back to Ella and him, she struggles to pull out of his hold. -My heart pumps like crazy, wanting to do something, to move... But afraid of this kid.

Who knows what their powers are... What they're capable of...

- Ella kicks and pulls are silenced by a blade piercing her stomach. A small pocket knife in the man's hand.

"E...Ella.."-

-"Gamma, leave that toy alone... Check this out." Ella eyes fall to her stomach, paralyzed, unable to say a thing, life slowly draining from her eyes.

Vile's military tee she wears is now stained in blood. -Savages, monsters; Gamma pulls up her shirt, putting his fingers between the cut. He scratches his fingers into the hole, separating the flesh, jamming his hand into the hole in her stomach. Tau, put his hand in with Gamma, twisting around what I can only assume is her guts. A repulsing slushing sounds. Wet and slimy.

-Tau brings his lips to Ella's ear, whispering, "Warm... A brightly pink... How beautiful..." His hand slides deeper int the cut in her stomach.

-Ella, mouth open in shock, lifts her head to me, who stays in place, here, watching.

-Ella... -They're killing her... -A bunch of demons... -Gutting her like a fish....

"Miss! Miss! If I pull out now, you'll die...!" Gamma, he laughs at that fact.

-Rising off my back, my eyes gleams chaotically, shadows melting out of my arms, plopping down to the floor in a liquid state. Ella body is eating feet away from me, taking her out of those two monster hands, her body now resting in my arms.

Every scar I took, and the damage done to Ella, heals. Wound in her stomach closing, hope returning back to her eyes.

-Gamma jumps high up, slamming down on top of me, hitting a dust like shield above my head.

I lay Ella across the grass, in tears, looking to my enemies.

A hero... We're supposed to see the light in everyone, pride on protecting and saving even to the worst of enemies. But what they did to Ella.... Taking Vile... Taking Zel... How can we let monsters like this live another day?

-Neither of them... I won't let a single one of them live after tonight.
