31 Chapter 6: I'm in love?

"..."

Lucias stayed silent as he does Zastin along with the entire spaceship that they were in while both Lala guided Lucias with a shy expression on her face towards the royal palace of the planet Deviluke.

"... Why are you so nervous? Sorry about before... for... harassing you"

"I-it's alright, j-just try to avoid... doing in it public" (Lala)

"What?"

"N-nothing!!" (Lala

She shouted with a bright red face as she tried to run away but was stopped by Lucias who held her soft and warm hand tightly with his.

"L-Lucias?!" (Lucias)

"Hmm?"

"Y-you're hand" (Lucias)

"What's wrong with my hand?"

Lucias asked in confusion before intertwining her fingers with hers as he went to her side.

"L-Lucias..."

She called in a daze while looking at Lucias who was looking at her with his gentle blood red eyes.

'Is this unpleasant? The other girls really liked it when I do this with them'

Lucias thought as Lala move closer to him and wrapped her arms around his right arm with a shy expression.

"Lala?"

Lucias called out waking Lala up from her daze as they both walked in the beautiful grass fields of the planet while being bathe by the warm light of the sun.

"Y-you don't like it?"

She nervously asked as her hand sweat due to her nervousness.

"It's not that I thought that you didn't like me holding your hand"

"O-of course not!! I-I like it..." (Lala)

"Is that so? Then I'm very happy that you thought that way"

Lucias says with a very bright smile on his face causing Lala to stare at him in a daze causing her to stop in her tracks while Lucias looked at her with a confused expression on his face.

"Lala?"

"A-ah, l-let's go" (Lala)

She hurriedly answered while pulling Lucias towards the dome shaped building with spiked protruding behind and beside it.

'I better switch my title... I don't want them to find out my trump cards'

Lucias thought before switching his current title to [Loved by nature] causing the nearby vegetation to bloom at his presence.

"Welcome back, Lala-sama"

4 servants with a diamond shaped tail on their back greeted while bowing down at the sight of Lala.

"Gid-sama and Sephie-sama have been waiting for your arrival"

They said before opening a path for the both of them, leading towards the giant gate in the middle of the building.

"L-Lucias don't be nervous, I'm sure my parents will like you" (Lala)

"I'm not nervous though, Lala calm down, what's the worse that could happen?"

Lucias says as both of them entered the palace with Lala leading the way.

"Lala, how could you run away?!" 

A teenage looking man with spiky black hair and red eyes shouted while running towards both of them with a beautiful pink haired woman following him from behind with a worried expression on her face.

"Papa..."

"Lala, do you know how worried we are when we were told that you ran away?!"

The pink haired woman reprimanded before hugging her in her embrace.

"Mama, I'm sorry" (Lala)

"It's ok, Lala just don't do it again, alright?"

"Mn"

She nodded her head before burying it the pink haired woman's chest.

'That woman... is it on purpose?'

Lucias thought while reading the notifications in front of him.

'I better not let my guard down around her'

"Ane-ue!"

"Onee-sama!"

Two high pitched voices called out as they both rushed towards Lala, hugging her tightly while in their mother's embrace.

"Momo, Nana"

'So they are her sisters... Then the pink haired lady must be the queen and this guy must be the king'

Lucias thought while gazing at the black haired youth who was glaring at him.

"You brat, who the hell are you?"

The black haired man called out in a threatening tone while releasing his bloodlust to pressure Lucias.

"I'm no one important, your highness"

Lucias politely answered, not being fazed by the sheer amount of bloodlust coming from the black haired man.

"You're not bad kid, but it's still not enough for you to stand in front of me"

The black haired boy says in a deep voice as he pulled on his necktie to pull Lucias closer to him.

"..."

"Answer me you brat"

"... Let go of me"

Lucias grabbed his wrist while releasing his own bloodlust, placing immense pressure on the servants and the 4 girls in the room as the ground below him started to freeze along with the hand of the black haired boy.

"Tch... Don't provoke me kid, you wouldn't like it"

"Don't push me or you'll regret it"

Both of them clashed their bloodlust at each other causing massive cracks on the floor and walls around the room as the servants shivered in fear from the immense power that the two figures have.

"L-Lucias, calm down!!"

Lala shouted as she ran towards Lucias, burying his face on her large and soft breast, trying to calm him down while glaring at her father.

"Papa!!"

"Who is this, Lala?"

"H-His my boyfriend, Papa, so don't hurt him!"

Lala shouted causing Lucias to look at her in bewildered from her words.

'Boyfriend? How come I didn't know of that?'

Lucias thought while smelling the sweet yet relaxing scent coming from Lala's body as she tightly hugged his head on her chest.

"Really!? Then why didn't you say so earlier?!"

He suddenly shouted energetically as Lala let go of Lucias from her embrace while blushing red from embarrassment for her sudden actions.

"Nice to meet you kid, I'm Gid Lucione Deviluke"

He introduced while reaching out his hand towards Lucias who was looking at him with a suspicious expression on his face from the sudden turn in his attitude.

"Lucias Frey, a pleasure meeting you"

Lucias 'smiled' at him before shaking his hand reculantly.

"Let's set the wedding date immediately!! Finally, Lala found a suitable husband, I can finally relinquish from the throne"

He energetically says while shaking Lucias hand whose expression was slowly getting colder by every second that pass.

"Why are you in a hurry, 'your highness'?"

"Huh? Running this place is so boring you know, I rather play around than stay holed up in this place"

"Is that so? Then... Let me ask you one thing your highness"

"What?"

"Can I hit you?"

"Huh?"

Lucias quickly grabbed his head before throwing it with all of his strength across the room, crashing and destroying the entire wall of the room.

"Lucias?!"

Lala shouted in shock from his sudden actions while the servants and the 3 girls were shocked by the pure strength that he has, enough to throw their king who lead and dominated the Galaxy Unification War that helped their planet rule the entire galaxy.

"Sorry about that, 'father-in-law'"

"Nice throw, son-in-law"

Gin said with an excited smirk on his face before charging towards Lucias preparing to launch a straight punch at his face.

Lucias who saw his attack tilted his head to dodge the powerful punch as the wind pressure around his fist cut his cheek. 

Lucias immediately grabbed his arm before performing a powerful hook at his face, causing the king to smash into the wall behind the 4 girls.

"Nice hit"

The king smirked while wiping the blood off of the corner of his mouth before pointing his trident shaped tail towards Lucias, launching a powerful beam of energy at him.

"[Hyper Nova]"

Lucias muttered as he fired a large concentrated beam at the beam of energy fired by the king causing a large explosion inside the palace when both of their attacks met.

"You two..."

The beautiful linked haired woman called out while smiling ominously at the two causing both of them to freeze in their position from the sudden ominous aura coming from her.

"...I'm sorry, Sephie"

The man immediately apologized as he came closer to her without any hesitation.

"Please forgive me, your highness"

Lucias bowed down with an apologetic face from causing mass destruction inside their palace when they all just met.

"God, let's talk later. Also, Lucias is it? I am quite happy that you got angry for my daughter which shows that you really care about her, but please don't destroy the palace, ok? You can beat him outside if you want" (Sephei)

"Sephei?!" (Gid)

"Shut up, Gid" (Sephei)

"Yes ma'am" (Gid)

"I'm sorry for destroying your palace, your highness, my emotions got the better of me"

"It's ok, I'm quite happy that my daughter found such a fine man as you. Please take care of my daughter"

'Maybe I should explain to them that we're not in that kind of relationship'

Lucias set his sights on Lala who became a blushing mess from the thought of being by his side as he quickly tried to hide the blush on her cheeks with her hands.

'... For some reason, ever since we left the spaceship her face was always red... Is something wrong with her?'

Lucias thought as he moved her bangs to side and placing his forehead against her to check his temperature.

"L-L-Lucias!?" (Lala)

'She seems fine... but why is she so flustered? Asia always do this when she is checking my temperature, maybe the customs in their race says that this is a form of insult? I don't know...'

"What's wrong?"

Lucias asked in confusion as he separated himself from Lala who was extremely flustered from his actions.

"N-nothing!!"

"???"

"How cute~" 

Sephie says with a wide smiled on her face while her sisters looked at them with shock since they never saw their sister react the way she does now.

-Meanwhile with Yuu and Schwi-

"Why aren't we searching for him?"

Schwi asked Yuu who was running around the town while collecting the ghouls that she made with the bodies of the criminals that Lucias killed in the past year.

[No need to worry, there is no being in this dimension that can harm him... probably. So he can handle himself... Our task is to gather my spawn while he is still out. Trust him because he's stronger than both of us because of his skills]

"Then, we must find this walking corpses that you speak of immediately before he comes back"

[Can you help me with that?]

"Positive, I can scan the entire area to locate any creature with the same magic signature as you"

[Good, then let's hurry up]

"Understood"

Schwi answered before injecting the two tails located on her back into the ground, gathering as much data as she possibly could from her surrounding area before pointing at the dark alley close to them.

"There are 4 of them in there"

Yuu wrote down before walking towards the alley together with Schwi who was following her from behind with a large hood on her head to cover the mechanical parts on her head to avoid attracting attention.

-Back to Lucias-

"Please make yourself at home, Lucias"

Sephie said with a smile on her face as he guided Lucias around the royal palace.

"Thank you for your hospitality, your highness"

"Don't call me 'your highness' like we're strangers Lucias, you can call me Mama or mom since you'll be my son in the future"

"I don't think that's appropriate, your highness"

"I told you to not call me that, then you can call me Sephie just like how my husband call me, but in the future you have to call me mom, alright?"

Sephie winked at Lucias who was smiling wryly from her stubbornness while both of them were walking around the halls of the royal palace.

"Lucias... I want to ask you something"

Sephie stopped in her tracks, looking at Lucias with a serious expression on her face.

"I'm talking to you not as a queen but as a loving mother. Do you really love my daughter, Lucias?"

"..."

"... I'll take that as no... if you don't love her why did you propose to her?"

"That was on accident, Sephie-sama. Something like love... I never actually felt how to love before... I don't know what it feels like to be in love so..."

Lucias answered honestly while looking out of the window with a complicated expression on his face.

"I see... from your expression you don't seem like your lying, you have never felt love before? How about your parents? or any of the girls that you befriended in the past?"

"I have no parents... I was an orphan and was adopted by the church, but due to my weakness in the past, they never thought me anything. The only person that accepted me is Asia, a girl that I am truly greateful for"

"I'm sorr-"

"No it's okay, it's all in the past, and past are just lessons learned that is not something that I should lament with for the rest of my life. Their neglecting taught me a lot of things about reality and life, so I'm somewhat grateful for that because if not I'll never change and just be a child who saw everything as sunshine and rainbows. And if not for their neglecting, I might have not met the girls, I might not have reached where I am now"

Lucias nostalgically says while looking at the bright blue sky as the images of the girls who he hasn't seen for an entire year flashed in his mind causing a slight smile to form in his lips.

"Then... that means that you don't know what it feels to be in love, Lucias?" (Sephie)

"Yes"

"Hmm... then let me ask you, Lucias have you ever felt the feeling of wanting to stay by a girl's side for the rest of your life. Do you feel extreme fear and anxiety from the thought of losing her?"

"I did felt like that"

Lucias honestly answered while thinking of the girls, there was nothing on his mind but to grow stronger to protect them, because he always felt anxiety and fear devour his heart every time the taught of losing any of them entered his mind. The only way he can remove this thought is for him to train for a couple of hours to clear his mind from his thoughts, but the anxiety never left his heart. He felt scared, extremely scared in losing them because they are the drive that keeps him motivated and alive.

If they were gone, his life wouldn't have any meaning... it will just feel... empty. He wouldn't have the motivation to move forward without them, he would've just commited suicide to escape the emptiness and pain that he will feel everyday.

"Then do you feel extreme desire to hold and kiss them? Do you feel your heart beat extremely fast when you hug or kiss them? Do you feel shy when your with them?"

Sephie asked with a gentle smile on her face while looking at the innocent boy in front of her, her opinion of him only grew the more she talked to him, the more she knows about him. She felt relieved for leaving her daughter in the hands of the boy in front of her...

'If only Momo and Nana like him... It would have been great if the two of them find such a man like him'

Sephie thought while observing Lucias who suddenly blushed red as he thought of the memories that he have when he kissed Tobiichi and Yuu, he couldn't control his emotions and it just burst out of his chest. 

"From your expression, I can guess that you did have such moments in the past, Lucias. You're in love"

Sephie revealed with a kind smile on her face.

"I-I'm love? Me?"

"Yes, this what I felt when during me and my husband's first years together. Without a doubt, you're in love Lucias"

Sephie assured with a confident smile on her face while looking at Lucias who was in deep thought.

'I'm in love with them? Is that why...'

Lucias thought as his heartbeat began to raise while his cheeks flushed increasingly red from the flash of memories of all of them being together, the happiness and desire that he felt when he was with them.

Lucias tried to hide his blushing cheeks with the back of his hands, trying to face the other way to avoid Sephie from looking at his expression.

"How cute~ You must really loved her, Lucias"

"..."

Lucias stayed silent as he felt his cheeks become hotter from her words while Sephie watched him with a wide but gentle smile on her face from his innocence.

'It's such a shame that he already has someone that he loves'

Sephie thought, patiently waiting for him to speak.

"I guess... I do love them"

"Hmm... She must've been a lucky gir... Them?"

Sephie asked in astonishment, but quickly turned into excitement as this could become a chance for her daughters.

"Yes, is it weird to love multiple girls at once?"

Lucias asked, unsure of what he would feel if loving multiple girls at once is deemed bad by others.

"Well, it's not really bad since other races and religion have a custom of marrying multiple wives. So it's not wrong Lucias"

Sephie hurriedly explained, trying to convince him that it isn't wrong to love multiple women, she wouldn't waste the chance presented to her for her daughters.

"I-Is that so... That's a relief"

Lucias smiled causing Sephie to grab his hand in excitement.

"Then... Please take care of my daughters, Lucias"

She says with a bright smile on her face while Lucias looked at her with a confused expression.

"Even thought you still don't love my daughter right now, that will change in the future they're pretty sweet so I'm sure that you'll like them in the future"

"W-wait, daughters? They don't even love me"

"You're so dense, Lucias. It's pretty obvious that my daughter Lala loves you, you took away her first love so you have to take responsibility, alright?"

Sephie explained while also trying to use his innocence to her advantage.

"You can stay here for a few days, I'm sure my other two daughters will start to love you after staying here"

"W-wait"

"I'll support you however I can so you capture their hearts. I can't wait! See you later Lucias, I must prepare immediately!"

Sephie excitedly ran away with a beautiful smile on her face, leaving the confused Lucias alone in the large hall of the royal palace.
