The Heretic Sword God

The Heretic Sword God, The One Who Betrayed All, The Thousand-Faced God, The Jester's Blade... These were all names given to one person by the masses; Khoru. But, that's too far into the future. Let's start at Khoru's beginning, his start on the path to both supreme and unparalleled strength, and godhood... Khoru, originally someone from a distant planet known as Kale Planet, perished and reincarnated on another planet. In his next life, Khoru realized that there was a drastic difference between the two worlds. This world had supernatural powers. The people of this world could awaken supernatural beings known as 'Martial Spirits' at the age of 12. Not only would these beings aid people in their cultivation, they could even provide people with magical items or abilities. Khoru just so happened to be born into a small noble family in Yellow Apple Town; The Ghostly Blade Family. They were a noble family full of sword fanatics. It was said that each member of the family would awaken a weapon type, almost always a sword-type, Martial Spirit. They were all extremely powerful as well. So now, not only did Khoru have to survive in a supernatural world where death was as common as eating, he also had to live up to the expectations of his overbearing family... And even worse, he was born as the illegitimate son of one of the supreme elders of the family! Fear not though, because Khoru won't fold under pressure so easily! = = = = = [Cover does not belong to me, I only edited it a bit.]

Moonberry Inn

- - 30 Minutes Later - -

"Alright, sorry for such a long wait, here's to food you ordered." The woman came back to Khoru's table a little later than he expected. He took advantage of the time to observe the Moonberry Inn and the people inside.

Most of them were normal looking people and seemed to be enjoying there time there, but there were a few people that looked as if they were up to no good.

'Classic bandits.' Khoru immediately recognized who they were but decided not to approach them, he was too hungry and exhausted for that...

...

"This is amazing! Who cooked this?!" Khoru's pupils shrank when he tasted the rabbit steak; he had never tasted something like that before, even in his home! He wanted to meet the owner of Moonberry Inn and give them a firm handshake!

"Whoever made this has to be an excellent cook!" While Khoru was busy freaking out over the taste of the food, the group of bandits quickly a table beside him.

"Since you can eat here, you're obviously pretty well of huh?" One of them said as they placed their hand in their pocket and held something.

"H-Huh? Who are you guys?" The man at the table said. He was with his wife and kids so he tried to keep his composure.

"Don't worry about us, just hand over everything you have! Oi, you too." Another bandit demanded the guy to hand over his money before taking out a short knife and waving it at him, then waving it at Khoru.

He didn't recognize Khoru, somehow.

"Do you know who I am?" Khoru said as he stopped eating and turned his head up to meet the eyes of the bandit. His chilly eyes sent shivers down the spines of all the bandits.

"Were not from around here, so we wouldn't know! In fact, were from the glorious Forester Town!"

Khoru's expression darkened when he heard what town those bandits had came from.

Forester Town.

The same town that Yellow Apple Town went to war with when he was only 7 years old. Since then, the relationship between the two towns has been nearly non-existent. Everyone from Yellow Apple Town hated everyone from Forester Town, regardless of if they were innocent or not.

"Forester Town, eh? You made the wrong choice stepping into the lion's den. Don't resent me for what I'm about to do to you." Khoru's blatant threat turned the eyes of the bandits' bloodshot and their expressions were wild.

"You dare to threaten me little kid?! What family's young master are you? I bet they'd be rather sad if you suddenly went missing!" One of the bandits shouted as he waved his knife around, threatening to attack Khoru with it.

"I'm a young master of the Ghostly Blade Family." Khoru said coldly as he got up from his table and nearly teleported behind one of the bandits. His hand grasped the back of the bandit's head and he slammed him on the ground with immense force.

There was even a web-like crack in the hardwood floor of the Inn.

"Sorry, I'll compensate you all for the damage." Khoru said solemnly to a server that was nearby.

"O-Okay..."

Khoru approached the next bandit, gutting him with a bare, powerless punch that sent him hurdling across the Inn. His face turned a few shades paler when he felt the power that Khoru held.

"W-What the hell?! Who are you?!" The bandit crazily asked.

"I already told you, unfortunately that small brain of yours couldn't remember a few words." Khoru jumped into the air and landed heavily on the bandit's head, knocking him out completely.

The crowd covered their mouths in shock.

How could those bandits have been so stupid to not have even heard of Young Master Khoru?

They made a mistake coming here...

Khoru kept on with his onslaught, using a table as leverage to jump into the air to launch an axe-kick at the 3rd bandit. He was already fleeing but Khoru was unfortunately too fast.

A swift axe-kick to the top of his head knocked out the third bandit with little effort.

As for the 4th bandit? Khoru spared him.

"Take your little trash friends back to that dirty town of yours and warn whoever you work for not to come to our Yellow Apple Town ever again. If I catch any of you here again, I'll kill you immediately." Khoru's tone was deathly cold and it made the people in the Inn scared.

They watched as the 4th bandit scurried to drag his friends all the way from Yellow Apple Town back to Forester Town.

Khoru followed them until they left the entire town, and afterwards he went back to the Moonberry Inn to pay for the damage he caused, as well as the food...

"Here you go, I apologize for going to such lengths inside of your Inn. Maybe this is enough to pay for the damages?" Khoru placed a small pouch in front of the person at the counter.

"W-Wha- 15 gold coins? This is too much!" The lady at the counter freaked out when she saw how much money Khoru was willing to pay for the meager damages inside the Inn. Her words shocked the rest of the people in the Inn as well.

"C-Call the owner of the Inn, please." The lady said to a server. A few minutes later, a familiar silhouette appeared coming through one of the doors that led to the back of the Inn.

Merchant Marley.

"Mer- Marley? You're the owner of Moonberry Inn?" Khoru was surprised at this and immediately asked.

"Indeed I am. Who knew we would meet again so quickly? Anyways, you've done more than enough for this Inn so we don't need you to pay for the damages." She said as she patted the shoulder of the lady at the counter.

"No, allow me to." Khoru immediately responded.

"Well... How about this, the initial price of your meal was 50 silver, but now it suddenly increased to 15 gold coins." Marley had an amused expression on her face as she took the pouch from Khoru.

Khoru only nodded his head before leaving.
