The heresy

‘’When mortals die, their grievances and unwillingness are the last thing that linger. Their souls will then go to the vast sky and become the stars that guide those they left behind through the darkness of the night.” Said the woman to the child on her lap. She and the child were gazing at the endless night, the cold wind caressing their skin. “But mother” the child looked at the woman embracing her “what about father’s kind? Would they also be stars when they die? How about you?” The woman smiled then gently tousling the girl’s hair “You know xiao yue, not all existence are the same. There are certain kinds who does not belong here but somewhere else. But no matter where or what, always remember, me and your father will always be by your side.” the woman stared the girl’s eyes gently conveying her utmost love and tenderness, she then lifted her finger and pointed towards the little girl’s heart “we will always be right here. Chapter 3: Central Black Hole

She can no longer remember how long she was drifting. She lost all her senses of time and was just waiting to be sucked away by that giant black hole.

The medicine she took was not the normal kind where you only lose your muscle function for a span of time. This medicine was as vicious as the one who fed it to her. It destroyed all her physical functions with no hopes of redemption.

She was an immortal with the blood of a vampire and that of a goddess. There was always a misconception when humans think of supernatural beings.

They thought that a vampire's weakness was silver and the gods were their dantian. But all these were only half-truths. Vampires and gods are two opposing beings but they have one characteristic they share. Their immortality was their soul.

The physical body was just a medium for them to live in, once they were able to complete certain tribulation, they would be able to freely leave the physical body and create new ones.

Though Ying Yue was an ancient monster by Earth standard, immortality wise, she was still a young girl who has yet to see the world. She might have the power to manipulate her body but she cannot leave it as she liked. This was the biggest weakness she has.

A streak of light passed overhead which caught her attention. In front of her was a massive black pool that looked endless surrounded by countless streaks of lights.

Matters fly in circular motion followed by orbits of lights that disappear in the middle of the void. Ying Yue could feel a heavy gravitational pull as her useless body was being sucked by countless of forces towards the void.

Fear crept up to her heart towards the unknown. Would this be the end? Maybe this was her liberation. She then helplessly closed her eyes accepting her fate.

As she was being sucked, her useless body was being battered and worn as countless particles hit her. Not even a few breaths after, she could feel her body becoming minced meat.

Pain after pain assaulted her but she can neither cry nor shout.

After what seemed like an eternity, Ying Yue felt like she was being pulled to a stretch. She opened her eyes and was horrified as she saw particles and light being stretched taut, looking down at her own body, she saw herself being pulled like noodles.

She never felt as horrified as she was right then. But what can she do? In a moment now she will lose her mortal body and her soul will dissipate along with the lights.

Ying Yue felt weakness wash over her and it was getting more difficult to keep her eyes open so she resignedly closed her eyes then everything went black.

She didn't know how long it took but Ying Yue was finally able to sense her surrounding, though she felt she was very weak and was still unable to open her eyes, she knew she was able to survive but was about to dissipate.

As a half-vampire, her innate instinct for hunting and survival kicked in, she felt a tingling warmth that seemed to attract her.

Her other senses upped as her sight was lost, she willed her soul to the warmth as she felt this might probably help her soul stabilize even just a little. She went to the direction of the heat and when she felt it was the hottest part, she stopped to enjoy the comfort it gave her.

Shutting her senses off to rest she felt she was still none the less lucky to survive regardless of how weak she became.

Days after days she stayed there suspended and unmoving. She can feel some changes as she can now move her fingers and her toes. The energy she got might not be enough to open her eyes but the progress made her giddy as a seed of hope sprouted inside her heart.
